Yet another Danish Broncos fan.

Mile High Report Why are we so loyal to EFX?

This is post I have wanted to write for some time now. It isn’t about the Broncos but about one of my favorite communities – the Mile High Report.

As many others have noted before me, this community has become so positive towards everything the Broncos front office does, that criticism almost isn’t tolerated. This latest draft is typical of this. Many members of this site have spent a lot of posts and comments the past few days fervently justifying the trades and picks of EFX - even going so far as to tell critics, that we should all trust that the front office knows what it is doing until the opposite is proven (which obviously is not a healthy basis for debate on a fan site).

Mile High Report A new identity

My favorite aspect of the Tebow era was that the team and we as fans were forging an identity. We were tougher than our opponents; we won ugly and were proud of it; we pounded the rock; we believed in ourselves against all odds, we stood together through thick and thin. Champ Bailey stood up and watched the offense work. I loved it. We were different from every other team in the league. We were a team that everybody had to have an opinion about.

Now our front office has seen the wisdom in doing things the orthodox way. And we might win this way – none of us know. But win or lose, we are just another team now – like the Seattle Seahawks, or the St Louis Rams, or the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Now some may tell me to get over it. And I will – and I will root for the Broncos all the way. But right now every one of us is entitled to grieve a little over the identity (and promise) lost.

One dream one soul, one prize
One goal, one golden glance of what should be
It’s a kind of magic

It would be interesting to investigate the upbringing of top qb's.

A nice break down of some key offensive plays from Sunday. And how the O-line has sort of been forgotten by many (as per usual one might say).

Brew Crew Ball A question about tickets

Sorry to "spam" you like this.

I will be coming to Millwaukee while the Brewers play the Cubs, and I was wondering if I need to buy tickets in advance? Also, if you have any ideas as how to get the full Millwaukee Brewers experience, I would love to hear them. (Night life ideas are also wellcome :-)

We are coming from Denmark, and have never been to a baseball game before. Any help is greatly appreciated.

/Jens

Chad gives advice to BM plus much much more. I just hope that Champ can transition with him come Sunday.

It has now been scientifically proven, that the 2009 Denver Broncos is the most watchable team ever in the pre season. Only problem is, that the game tonight starts at 4 am in Copenhagen.

Plus great Elway Quote: "It seems we've been talking about Brett retiring for a decade. I think it has actually only been eight years".

Dane could use advice on tickets and more

Hello Bears fans. I am a long time Danish member of Mile High Report who is coming to Chicago the weekend you host the Steelers. Two friends and I are planning to go to the game. Is there any realistic hope of getting tickets through ticketmaster when they go on sale in July, or should we just buy them on Stubhub? Do the prices on Stubhub usually go up any further once the "official" tickets are sold out? I would appreciate your help. Also, do you know of any cool places to hang out before the game?

Mile High Report Integrity = no trade

We spend a lot of energy these days discussing what we can get in return for Cutler. I say, that what we can get for him is not something we desperately need, and I am fine with letting Simms (or possibly Garcia) start at QB in 09, if Cutler choses to sit out the entire season.

If Cutler is really hell bent on not being a Bronco, then we can trade him next year to whomever Mike Shanahan is coaching. We will then have sent the clear signal, that a player cannot force his way out of Denver by acting up. Sure the standoff (in the worst case scnario mind you) will probably cost us something equal to a second round pick, as Cutlers value deteriorates during his '09 hold out. A price I am willing to pay for the chance to show some determination.

For these reasons I believe, that the best course of action, is to hold on to Cutler (and any other player represented by Cook). Hopefully Jay realizes, that his best option is to come to camp, and win the starting job as QB of the Denver Broncos. If so, I believe that time and winning will have os all laughing over this mess two years from now. I hope.

This is a cool piece, about how a football game is produced. Boy those guys must be worn out after 3½ hours of football.
