Buongiorno tutti fashionistas and other assorted Grand Tour freaks. Today it's time for the second GT presentation of the year and you can bet your last lire it's going to be the most watchable. Expect lots of Coppi-tributes, appalling eyewear , scantily clad women and absolutely no images of Il Grande dell'Austin.

Time for the sprinters last waltz of the season. Don't be fooled though, the recent editions have been anything
but long parades too an inevitable bunch-gallop. The thing is, as much as this is the Sprinter's Classic, it is also the Breakaway-artist's Classic.
For pointers on how to do it the hard way watch Erik Dekker's amazing win in 2004.

This is the last year we will see the classic finish on the Avenue de Grammont. Due to the laying of tram-tracks they will not use the never-ending avenue in the future.

Today we heard that Team Sky will ride Pinarellos for the coming three years. This means that two of the major teams will be marketing the Italian mega-brand. Meanwhile the other legendary brand, Colnago, remains unrepresented on the ProTour level. Do any of you know the back-story here?

Is it just coincidence or are there some explanations, monetary or other, to why they haven't been sponsoring a major team since Rabobank ditched them for Giant?

For those who need to wind their season down gradually rather than stop cold turkey after Lombardia there might be some excellent opportunities for therapeutic race-watching today.

On the road there is the Tour de Vendée in the heartland of French cycling. This will be broadcast in France but it's unclear if there will be video elsewhere. If not you can watch the course animation here. It's like the TdF one, on a budget. Live video should start at 16:35 CEST (10:35 US eastern). Check Cyclingfans for possible links. Startlist here

For those with a mud-fetish there's the Cyclocross World Cup in Treviso. CTV has this in their UCI and Gold packages if you subscribe to those........ unless you live in the US that is, in which case you're screwed. The women's race starts at 13:20 CEST (07:20 US eastern) and the men's at 15:20 CEST.
Who knows, there might be one of those free feeds that we hate so much available?
