Anderson Silva vs Chael Sonnen fight video preview for UFC 148 main event on July 7
"This isn't hype."
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has released its first official UFC 148: "Silva vs. Sonnen 2" fight video preview for one of, if not the most anticipated rematch in the promotion's short history.
I'm referring, of course, to Anderson Silva vs. Chael Sonnen 2 on July 7, 2012 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
"Sin City" is where the two best middleweight fighters in the world will hook 'em up for a second time following a five-round nailbiter way back at UFC 117 in August 2010. And, just like before, "The Spider's" 185-pound title will be on the line.
As will his pride.
That's because Sonnen has dogged him across the better part of two years, insulting his heritage, his championship reign and even his family. He pushed every button imaginable to get his long awaited rematch and now he's finally got it.
But you know the old saying, "be careful what you wish for."

Jon Jones mug shot pic released, police report identifies two girls involved in DWI crash
This is what Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones looked like back on May 26, 2012 after being arrested for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI). "Bones" was detained at the scene after crashing his Bentley into a utility pole.
But according to SI.com, he wasn't alone:
Michelle L. Vojtisek and Cara Johnson, both 25, sustained cuts, bruises and swelling from the collision and were transported to Wilson Hospital for treatment, according to the report. Both air bags had been deployed during the crash.
Johnson, who was in the front passenger seat, attended Union-Endicott High with Jones, according to online records.
Additional background information on Johnson can be found here.
In addition to DWI, he was also slapped with a pair of moving violations including "improper turn" and "deviating from a direct course." Under the terms of his recent guilty plea in Binghamton City Court, those additional charges have been dismissed; however, Jones did receive a temporary suspension of his driver's license.
The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 15 Live Finale predictions, preview and analysis
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is back, yet again, with a weekend chock full of mixed martial arts (MMA) action for you to sink your teeth into as we (believe it or not) slowly approach the midway point of the promotion's 2012 fight campaign.
The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 15 wraps things up this Friday night (June 1) with its live finale emanating from "The Pearl" at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada, featuring the FX Channel's reality show lightweight finalists, Michael Chiesa vs. Al Iaquinta, vying for the coveted "six-figure contract" and a spot in the UFC's crowded 155-pound division.
MMAmania.com resident TUF guy, Geno Mrosko, will be dissecting that fight after a bang-up job of covering the series from start to finish.
Headlining the "Sin City" fight card will be a welterweight showdown between Jake Ellenberger vs. Martin Kampmann in a bout that could have serious title implications for "The Juggernaut" if he's able to win convincingly.
So who takes home the glory and who takes a dump? Follow me us after the jump to find out.
Daniel Cormier vs Tim Sylvia? 'DC' says fighting 'The Maine-iac' would be 'a big deal'
It may not be Tim Sylvia's ticket back into Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), but a marquee match-up against Daniel Cormier in Strikeforce is probably the next best thing.
And hey, it's one step above a "comeback" season on The Ultimate Fighter (TUF).
Believe it or not, "The Maine-iac" is one of the names being tossed around for Cormier's final fight on Showtime, prior to what is widely-believed to be the Strikeforce Grand Prix Champion's inevitable transition to the 265-pound ranks in the UFC.
From his conversation with Sherdog's "Beatdown" radio:
"I think anytime you get to fight a guy that held the UFC title, it's a big deal. If Tim Sylvia's the guy that they put across the cage from me, then that's the guy I will fight on that day, but it doesn't really matter to me. I said that I would like to actually continue my progression, but there aren't many guys that are a step up from Josh Barnett. I don't know. I just would like to keep progressing in my career and fighting guys that are better than the last guy. I don't know who that's going to be. It doesn't really matter. I'll give Showtime their fight and see where I stand in the UFC division when I'm done."
Sylvia, a two-time heavyweight champion under the ZUFFA banner, has been pining for a return to the world's largest fight promotion, pestering promotion president Dana White and the rest of the UFC brass for a second shot at superstardom.
Those pleas, to date, have fallen on deaf ears.
But a monster upset win over "DC" later this year might just be the thing to have them reconsider, assuming Big Tim can get past Randy Smith in the main event of New England Fights' (NEF) "Fight Night III" at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee on June 16, 2012.
Stranger things have happened.

Glover Teixeira willing to fight anyone in the UFC (except Lyoto Machida)
With the short list of viable title contenders in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight ranks, it's easy to see why Brazilian import Glover Teixeira is all the rage.
Aside from his 16-fight winning streak, the submission-savvy mixed martial arts (MMA) veteran made a statement at UFC 146 in his Octagon debut, choking out the venerable Kyle Kingsbury and capturing "Submission of the Night" in the process.
There's already whispers of expediting his rise to the top.
That means Teixeira could be looking at a "big name" opponent for his next fight, something he is more than willing to accept -- so long as it isn't his friend and former training partner Lyoto Machida.

Arianny Celeste: 'He was choking me and I defended myself'
Everybody was kung-fu fighting, apparently.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Octagon Girl extraordinaire, Arianny Celeste, has finally broken her silence following her arrest for domestic violence last week in Las Vegas, Nevada. The part-time sexpot and her boyfriend, Praveen Chandra, came to blows in a "Sin City" hotel.
Celeste tells HollyScoop.com it was self-defense:
"I was defending myself after he choked me twice."
Her May 26, 2012 arrest interfered with -- but did not prevent -- her Octagon appearance at UFC 146.
After posting $3,000 bond in the early part of the day, Celeste managed to return to her cageside duties later that night -- about midway through the event -- looking no worse for the wear.
Celeste, who has the full support of UFC President Dana White, is scheduled to appear in Las Vegas Justice Court tomorrow morning (June 1) to answer for the charges.

Patrick Cote returns, fights Cung Le at UFC 148 on July 7 in Las Vegas
Ladies and gentlemen, "The Predator" has returned.
Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight number one contender, Patrick Cote, who was released by the world's largest fight promotion following his unanimous decision loss to Tom Lawlor at UFC 121 back in Oct. 2010, is getting another crack at eight-sided infamy thanks to Vitor Belfort's broken hand.
With "The Phenom" out of UFC 147 next month in Brazil, Rich Franklin was yanked from his contest opposite Cung Le at UFC 148 on July 7 in Las Vegas, Nevada, to rematch Wanderlei Silva on short notice. That left the former Strikeforce middleweight champion without a date to the big dance in "Sin City."
Oh, hello Patrick.
MMAmania.com confirmed with sources north of the border that Cote has been tapped to fill in for "Ace" against the San Shou striker in what is sure to be joyous news for Canadian mixed martial arts (MMA) fans, many of whom have been pining for "The Predator's" return since his untimely release nearly two years ago.
Phil Davis vs Wagner Prado booked for UFC on FOX 4 with Chad Griggs hurt
Chad Grigg's light heavyweight debut is officially on hold.
That's because "The Grave Digger" is a little too banged up to fulfill his duties against Phil Davis at the UFC on FOX 4 event from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Calif., on Aug. 4, 2012. The good news, is unbeaten prospect Wagner Prado has agreed to step in and take his place.
Davis (9-1) saw his undefeated record snapped by former division champion Rashad Evans earlier this year, in a bout where the NCAA Division I national champion wrestler out of Penn State was stymied across five rounds en route to a convincing unanimous decision loss.
Time to get back on the horse.
Prado (8-0) cut his teeth on the South American regional scene, racking up seven (T)KO wins in his eight fights and is one of the few Brazilians who comes into the Octagon without a single submission win. I guess you don't need to work the ground game when you're that good at knocking fools out.
"Mr. Wonderful," beware.
UFC on FOX 4 is expected to feature the recently announced middleweight bout of Hector Lombard vs. Brian Stann. Ryan Bader vs. Lyoto Machida, Terry Etim vs. Joe Lauzon, Oli Thompson vs. Philip De Fries and Rob Broughton vs. Matt Mitrione are also scheduled for the "City of Angels."

BJ Penn 'warming up to the idea' of a UFC return
Perhaps retirement isn't all it's cracked up to be after all.
Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Lightweight and Welterweight Champion B.J. Penn, who's currently overseeing his own signature gym in Hawaii, may have just put an expiration date on his self-imposed retirement.
"The Prodigy" talks to UFC Tonight:
"I mean, right after my last fight I had no interest in fighting, but I am kind of warming up to the idea. Everywhere I go people are telling me to get back into the ring and I think it is working a little. No timetable, it isn’t going to be anytime in the next few months, that’s for sure. The thing about the UFC is that the landscape is constantly changing. I guess whatever makes sense. I don’t want any freebie fights. I would like to put together a fight that makes sense for everyone; for the fighters, the fans and the organization -- a big fight."
Calling all fantasy matchmakers!
Rich Franklin vs Wanderlei Silva catchweight fight booked for UFC 147
The Vitor Belfort sweepstakes are over.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) officials today announced Rich Franklin vs. Wanderlei Silva 2 for the UFC 147 pay-per-view (PPV) main event at the Mineirinho Arena in Belo Horizonte, Brazil on June 23, 2012.
"Ace" fills in for "The Phenom," who broke his hand earlier this month and was forced to withdraw.
Franklin narrowly edged out "The Axe Murderer" in a three round "Fight of the Night" at UFC 99: "The Comeback" nearly three years ago in Germany. Their second go-round will be contested at a catchweight of 190 pounds to account for the short notice match-up.
That leaves the former math teacher's original foe, Cung Le, without an opponent for UFC 148 (for now).
Rick Story vs Brock Jardine set for UFC on FX 4 with Papy Abedi hurt
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has once again stitched up its UFC on FX 4 fight card, currently scheduled for the Revel Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, NJ, on Fri., June 22, 2012.
Rick Story will get yet another change in opponent following an injury to Papy Abedi, according to an update from UFC.com.
Stepping in for the cigar-smoking Swede will be Octagon newcomer Brock Jardine (9-1), who comes into his short-notice fight against the welterweight veteran having won three straight contests on the regional scene.
Seven of his nine ways have come by way of (T)KO or submission.
Story (13-5), meanwhile, is in the midst of a two-fight losing skid, dropping back-to-back unanimous decisions to Charlie Brenneman and Martin Kampmann, respectively. Prior to the setbacks, "Horror" reeled off six straight victories, including decision wins over top division stalwarts Johny Hendricks and Thiago Alves.
MMA fighter dies following unregulated event on May 18 in South Dakota
Sorry folks, not exactly the kind of mixed martial arts (MMA) news I enjoy passing along, but it's not something we can afford to ignore, either.
Just ask the widow of Sam Vasquez.
Dustin Jenson, 26, tapped to a triangle choke in a losing effort at "RingWars" back on May 18, 2012 from the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center in Rapid City, South Dakota. He later became ill and was rushed to the hospital for emergency brain surgery.
The Rapid City Journal has details from Jenson's mother in law, Violet Schieman:
"He did not wake up after the surgery and was declared brain dead at 10:23 a.m.," she said. "He remained on life support until his organs were donated."
Schieman, who was not at the fight, said her daughter, Jenson’s wife Rebecca Jenson, and several others told her the violence in the fight was "nothing out of the ordinary."
"Doctors have watched the video and said it shouldn't have happened," Schieman said. "They said the fight may have triggered a brain aneurysm, but it was not overly violent."
Jenson was taken off life support on May 24 and his organs were donated.
South Dakota currently does not have a regulatory body to govern or sanction MMA events, and it is unclear at this time if Jenson was required to participate in pre-fight medicals prior to lacing up the gloves back on May 18.
Funeral services were held earlier today.
Video: Fedor Emelianenko is a tuxedo-wearing badass in new Mercedes-Benz commercial
Fedor haters move along, nothing to see here.
The rest of us can sit back and enjoy the former PRIDE champion and longtime mixed martial arts (MMA) heavyweight lighting rod doing what he does best: Strutting his stuff like the unassuming badass that he is. Sure, he's fighting Pedro Rizzo at the Ice Palace in a few weeks, in what's sure to be another M-1 constructed laugher, but let's not lose sight of the bigger picture.
"The Last Emperor" is selling cars.
The bigger question, is how far off camera his manager Vadim Finkelchtein was, who undoubtedly asked the people behind the German luxury cars for a co-promotion deal of some sort prior to signing on the dotted line. Anyone expect to see the Mercedes-Benz logo on the ring floor next month in St. Petersburg?
Check out all the gory details on Emelianenko's next fight against "The Rock" by clicking here.
Matt Brown replaces Matt Riddle at UFC on FX 4 against Luis Ramos
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight Matt Brown will lace up the gloves and take on Luis Ramos at the UFC on FX 4 event, currently booked for the Revel Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, NJ, on Fri., June 22, 2012.
"The Immortal" one, who earlier today tweeted the change in line-up, replaces Matt Riddle, who is no longer competing in "Dirty Jersey" following an injury.
Brown (14-11) recently rained on the parade of Stephen Thompson at UFC 145, knocking "Wonderboy" around for three rounds and snapping his undefeated streak. Ramos (19-7) saw his three-fight winning streak come to an end at the hands of Erick Silva on the UFC 142 card back in January.
UFC on FX 4 will feature a lightweight showdown between Gray Maynard vs. Clay Guida in the main event of the evening. It will also mark the welterweight debut of Dan Miller, who takes on Ricardo Funch in main card action, among other bouts.

Injury prevents Alan Belcher from taking Wanderlei Silva fight at UFC 147
Who is Wanderlei Silva going to fight in the main event of UFC 147?
It's certainly not going to be middleweight "talent" Alan Belcher, who like Silva's original opponent, Vitor Belfort, is at home resting comfortably with a cast over his hand. That narrows the field down even further and with less than a month to find a suitable replacement for "The Phenom," the pickings are currently idling on the corner of slim and none.
It's yet another blow to a card plagued with issues from its inception.
UFC 147 was originally supposed to feature a 185-pound title fight between Anderson Silva vs. Chael Sonnen. That fight was moved to UFC 148 on July 7, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada while the promotion scrambled for a last-minute venue, eventually settling on the "Mineirinho" arena on June 23 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
With no one but "The Axe Murderer" to headline.
The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) "Brazil" finale between the top two featherweight and middleweight contestants will also take place, but it's going to be difficult to sell a pay-per-view (PPV) in a (over?) saturated market without a marquee match-up to anchor it.
That's where you come in.
After the jump, we've laid out a poll with a few names and scenarios to help save this upcoming card. Let's hear what you've got for Wandy and the rest of the Brazilian fans below.
Video: 'Pele' reacts to Anderson Silva's book, calls 'The Spider' a liar and a wussy
"I feel I'm in a pathetic situation here, having to answer to this well-known fighter who has lied about me and about some facts of our lives. Anderson, you know how I deal with this kind of situation. You've been saying that Vitor Belfort has no balls. I can say the very same thing to you. Anderson, mark my words, you have no balls! I can tell that just by looking in your eyes. Every time I look at you, you chicken out. You're such a wussy! This lie has really hurt me. I must confess that you've got talent, but as I said before, you are nothing but a piece of shit."
Well, I guess Chael Sonnen isn't the only one who can't stand the sight of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Middleweight champion and UFC 148 headliner Anderson Silva, whose upcoming book has already set off a firestorm of controversy thanks to its tales of shotguns and paybacks. Now, longtime mixed martial arts (MMA) veteran and fellow Brazilian Jose Landi-Jons fires back at "The Spider" for allegedly lying in his book about a previous confrontation they had and the ensuing fallout. You know the old saying, Maniacs, fighting solves everything. "Pele" vs. Silva in a catchweight fight? Who takes it?
Rousimar Palhares was 'dead and couldn't move' prior to Alan Belcher fight at UFC on FOX 3
I'm glad I wasn't the guy tasked with giving him mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight submission master Rousimar Palhares doesn't want to sound like he's making excuses -- BUT -- he was too sick to pull out the win against Alan Belcher at the UFC on FOX 3 event earlier this month in New Jersey.
"Toquinho" elaborates to Tatame.com:
"I couldn’t do anything, I was too sick. I don’t really wanna talk about it so it doesn’t sound like an excuse and I’m not taking back his credits. That’s only going to strengthen me and I’ll become a champion. When you get it (the submission), you gotta really get it. I tried to repeat it, but I was gassing off, I was not strong enough. It wasn’t my day, literally. I was dead, I couldn’t move. My plan now is to train and never step up on the ring like I did this time. I was trying to jump and scream to see if I had any energy left, but I couldn’t do it."
Belcher was fearless in his attack, mixing it up with the heavy-handed heel-hooker and emerging with all his limbs intact. "The Talent" put a stamp on his emphatic win as well, pounding out the Brazilian brute via first round technical knockout.
But was Palhares beaten before he even got to the cage? See how it all went down in "Dirty Jersey" with a video breakdown of their bout here and our complete fight review and analysis here.

Video: Jake Ellenberger must finish Martin Kampmann to prove he's a title contender
"It's definitely an honor to be a main event again, I'm just excited. I'm a big believer in 'actions speak louder than words.' I gotta finish this fight, I gotta prove that I'm even a contender for that title. I'm just gonna control what I can control and take it one fight at a time like I always have. With the coaches that I've been surrounded with and the people around me that believe in me, that's been such a big help for me in knowing I can beat anybody in the world at 170."
Top welterweight contender Jake Ellenberger looks to cement his status as division number one contender by finishing off Martin Kampmann in the main event of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) Live Finale this Friday night (June 1, 2012) in Las Vegas, Nevada. "The Juggernaut" is widely considered to be in the upper echelon of 170-pounders, but does he need to snuff out "The Hitman" to move himself ahead of other surging welterweights like Johny Hendricks?
$295 cheeseburger now on the menu -- who's buying?
My birthday is coming up, Maniacs, and I'm currently accepting offers to be wined and dined (sorry, no 69). First up on the Nostradumbass wish list is the kind of burger you can't get on the backyard grill.
From the Daily News:
A New York City tourist landmark has created the most expensive burger in the world, with a price tag of $295.
Serendipity 3, a Manhattan café that played a starring role in the 2001 Hollywood rom-com Serendipity and is also home to the $1,000-dollar sundae, has created Le Burger Extravagant, a luxurious sandwich filled with a laundry list of premium ingredients that includes:
- Wagyu beef infused with 10-herb white truffle butter
- Salish Alderwood smoked Pacific sea salt
- hand-formed cheddar cheese that's been cave-aged for 18 months
- shaved black truffles
- fried quail egg
- white truffle-buttered Campagna roll
- blini, crème fraiche
- Kaluga caviar, farm-raised in Quzhou, China
- all speared with a solid gold ‘Fleur de Lis' toothpick encrusted with diamonds and designed by jeweler Euphoria New York
They need 48 hours notice (so do I) so please plan accordingly.

Arianny Celeste mug shot pic from domestic violence arrest
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Octagon girl and full-time sexpot Arianny Celeste was arrested back on May 26, 2012 by the Clark County Police Department and charged with domestic violence.
And now, thanks to TMZ, we have the mug shot to prove it.
If the date of May 26 sounds familiar -- it should -- it was the same date the promotion held its UFC 146: "Dos Santos vs. Mir" pay-per-view (PPV) event from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, where Ms. Celeste was conspicuously absent for the first half of the show.
After posting $3,000 bond in the early part of the day, she managed to return to her cageside duties later that night -- about midway through the event -- looking no worse for the wear.
In fact, it's quite the contrast to the above pic, so we invite you to check out the May 26 "after" pic nestled snugly right below the jump.
Have a look.
UFCs Jon Jones pleads guilty to DWI, sentencing set for June 19 in Binghamton
"No comment."
That's all media outlets got from Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones as he exited New York's Binghamton City Court today (May 29, 2012) after entering a guilty plea to Driving While Intoxicated (DWI).
"Bones" was arrested in the wee hours of May 26 after crashing his Bentley into a utility pole.
In addition to DWI, he was also slapped with a pair of moving violations including "improper turn" and "deviating from a direct course." Under the terms of his deal both charges have been dismissed; however, Jones also received a temporary suspension of his driver's license.
12 Action News has the details:
Jones entered into a plea deal with the District Attorney's office Tuesday in Binghamton City Court. Under the terms of the deal he pled guilty to Driving While Intoxicated.
Two traffic violations, one for an improper turn and another for deviating from a direct course were dismissed. Jones' Attorney told the judge the agreement for punishment is a fine and a conditional discharge.
He'll be back in Binghamton on June 19 for sentencing.
UFC 146 payouts and salaries: Junior dos Santos shares 200k top spot with Frank Mir and Cain Velasquez
UFC 146 fighter payouts for those who competed at the "Dos Santos vs. Mir" pay-per-view (PPV) event this past Saturday night (May 26, 2012) from the MGM Grand Garden Casino in Las Vegas were released to MMAmania.com earlier today by the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC).
Junior dos Santos, Frank Mir and Cain Velasquez finished in a three-way tie for top payout of the night, banking $200,000 for their respective performances. "Cigano" was not entitled to a win bonus, which Cain used to double his 100k income in the wake of his technical knockout win over Antonio Silva ($70,000).
Stefan Struve was next on the list with $58,000, which he earned for dispatching Lavar Johnson ($26,000) with a first round armbar. That was just a few thousand higher than longtime veteran Mike Brown, who banked a crisp $52,000 for outlasting Daniel Pineda ($10,000).
But that's not all.
Here is the complete list of UFC 146 salaries and payouts:
Think Duane Ludwig's cut at UFC 146 was bad? Chris Quitiquit says "I can do better." Check out the wig-splitter he received from a grazing knee (via Middle Easy) at the Ultimate Warrior Fighting event last Saturday night (May 26, 2012) in Laredo, Texas. Wanderlei Silva 'pissed' at the 'amateurism' of 'scared' Vitor Belfort
I feel sorry for the next guy that has to spar with Wanderlei Silva.
That's because the longtime mixed martial arts (MMA) veteran is "pissed" at fellow Ultimate Fighter (TUF) Brazil coach Vitor Belfort, who broke his hand in training camp and withdrew from their UFC 147 rematch scheduled for the "Mineirinho" arena on June 23, 2012 in Belo Horizonte.
A replacement for "The Phenom" has yet to be announced.
That means "The Axe Murderer" must now play the waiting game as he prepares for an unknown opponent on less than a month's notice, assuming he remains on the UFC 147 fight card.
Hear him unload on the "disrespectful" and "scared" Belfort (via Tatame.com) after the jump.
Dana White shoots down Stephan Bonnar's request to coach next season of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF)
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Light Heavyweight Stephan Bonnar has been campaigning to get himself back in front of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) cameras opposite longtime rival and original castmate Forrest Griffin.
Ain't happening.
That's according to UFC President Dana White, who heard "The American Psycho's" pleas to bring things "full circle" and chose to ignore them, probably because he wants to keep the coaching criteria limited to "champions."
From the UFC 146 post-fight press conference (via MMA Weekly):
"I know that's what he wants. No. Sorry, Stephan. We usually bring in guys that are champions. Stephan and Forrest, believe me, you guys know I love Stephan and Forrest. We celebrate Stephan and Forrest every day. But it's not going to happen."
Bonnar and Griffin are partly responsible for kicking the TUF series into overdrive following their epic three-round war on Spike TV to conclude the very first season. Griffin was able to secure the close victory and again outworked Bonnar in their rematch just over a year later.
The good news, is that Bonnar has won three consecutive fights, so while he won't be lighting up the TUF cameras anytime soon, he should get a prominent spot on an upcoming fight card.
Stay tuned.
Burger time: Joe Lauzon loses cheeseburger eating contest to FPS Russia (Video)
Don't give me any of that "slow news day" crap or I'll start posting Lesnar updates.
What does Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Lightweight Joe Lauzon do in his spare time? Eat cheeseburgers. Lots of them. So many, in fact, that he tried to go head-to-head with gun guru and paintball pal "FPS Russia" at some hastily assembled cheeseburger eating contest in Chicago.
Middle Easy dug up the fast-food footage over the weekend.
"J-Lau" was guest starring in "Living Legends" at CPX Sports in the "Windy City," which is apparently a big deal in the world of paintball, something I haven't kept up with since the end credits of Gotcha! (I'm old), but from what I understand it's still pretty popular.
Anywho, Lauzon will look to rebound from his knockout loss to Anthony Pettis earlier this year when he locks horns with Terry Etim at the UFC on FOX 4 event booked for August 4, 2012 in Los Angeles, California. Cheeseburgers are not expected to be a part of his training regimen.
