Nucks Misconduct This post was supposed to be in the later rounds

Welcome home Canucks!

I feel you need this song after that loss. Lets be honest here. That hurt. That was a nightmare. That was exactly what wasn't supposed to happen in game 4. 7-2 was the extreme opposite of what anyone wanted to see (other than those fucking hawks fans). There is no way to describe the disater that is that game and what the implications of that that game might bring in the future.

For now, lets at least see if we can hold them to less than 7 goals next game.

Until then, let us hope this song brings them inspiration like it does myself:

Nucks Misconduct Young Stars Tourney - Day 3

Just one game tonight, but it was a good one. Edmonton Oilers vs. Calgary Flames - Game 5

Edmonton didn't even play Hall, Eberle or Paajarvi and still looked great. Calgary made it closer with a goal in the last min of the second to make it 4-3 Edmonton going into the third. Final score was 5-3 with a Edmonton open netter. Good game all around, lots of penaltys though, and a couple good fights too, check them out below!

Oh ya, saw Mike Ricci too as we were leaving the SOEC, check it out!

Sorry for the quality of the video, forgot my camera at home and had to use the iphone.

Nucks Misconduct Young Stars Tourney - Day 2

Day two has come and gone. Fun was had by all.

Good showing from what I saw of the Canucks, only the first period. Calgary also looked great against Anaheim, though Im starting to think that Anahiem is the weaker team in the tourney after taking an 8-4 lost lastnight to Calgary. Here is some pics and videos of the time I was there (Late for the first game, left early on the second game).

Nucks Misconduct Young Stars Tourney - Day 1

O CANADA! Its that time of year again! Hockey!

The young stars tourney started last night in Penticton and the South Okanagan Event Center was packed to the brim! I heard it was the second largest selling, next to the Hockey Day in Canada event. You cant really tell from this picture, most people are in line getting beers after the long lineups at the door that wrapped all the way around the outside of the building. I don't think the SOEC planned for it to be so busy.

Nucks Misconduct Vancouver general manager Mike Gillis called out Cody Hodgson.

Rotoworld.com reports: Vancouver general manager Mike Gillis called out Cody Hodgson, saying the rookie needs to step up his play during the weekend games, if he wants to stay with the Canucks. (Updated9/26/2009)

"Hodgson is one of the early favorites for the Calder Trophy this season, but he is still eligible to return to junior hockey. "He hasn't shown enough in this camp to prove that he's ready to play at this level," Gillis said. "I don't think that's criticism. I think it's an assessment of fact." Hodgson realizes he must pick up his game or he'll be back in junior where he has nothing to prove as he was the top player in Canada last year. "He hasn't shown enough in this camp to prove that he's ready to play at this level," Gillis said today as he watched his team practise at UBC. "I don't think that's criticism. I think it's an assessment of fact." Stay tuned as we should know his fate by Wednesday."

I think a lot of people would agree with that, at the least, he needs to get healthy again if that "first step" has no explosion as he put it.
