Denver Stiffs Thank you melo

Melo comments that he not feeling the love from Denver.. Gee I wonder why.

Carmelo Anthony Says His Former Team Doesn't Want Him to Be Successful with Knicks

By now, it's getting pretty hard to ignore the fact that the New York Knicks haven't seemed to improve all that much ever since they went out and acquired star forward Carmelo Anthony from the Denver Nuggets. Melo himself is doing just fine, averaging 25.5 points per game as a a Knick, but the team is just 6-5 in 11 games since the trade.

Meanwhile, things are just peachy in Denver. The Nuggets are 8-2 since shipping Melo to the Knicks, and they are making a push in the Western Conference playoff race as a result. In addition, head coach George Karl hasn't been afraid to tell like it like it is on occasion, and it's pretty obvious at this point that he doesn't really miss his former star.

In speaking with the New York Daily News earlier on Tuesday, Melo opened up about the general sense of jubilation in his old team. Not surprisingly, he's of the opinion that the Nuggets want him to fail in New York.

"I really think they kind of don't want me to have success in New York, that's the way I look at it," he said. "I try not to think about that. I've been in Denver 7 ½ years. For me to move on was a hard thing to do. This is a business and I've cut my ties there."

From merely reading the text, it's difficult to tell whether or not Anthony is surprised by this. But in all honesty, he shouldn't be. It was obvious from the very start of the season that he didn't want to play in Denver anymore, and he didn't exactly force the organization's hand with any sense of subtlety. So why would the Nuggets organization wish him well?

Obviously, this isn't quite the same as Cleveland rooting against LeBron James after he took his talents to South Beach. The feeling in Denver isn't nearly as bitter. Instead, both the organization and its fans are mocking the very idea that they needed Melo in the first place. This wouldn't be the case if the Nuggets were 2-8 without him instead of 8-2, but one supposes that, on occasion, you have to make a good situation even better.

As for the Knicks, we may as well be honest about their chances this year. They may have themselves a dynamic duo in Carmelo Anthony and Amar'e Stoudemire, but they're not going to be good enough to dispatch any of the top teams in the Eastern Conference. Make no mistake, they are not a so-called 'super team' quite yet.

T shirts

What is the story with the shirts some posters were supposed to get? I'm just wondering if I missed something or what the story is. If there is a date set or if the whole idea is scrapped? Let go Buffs! Enjoy the weather out there!

The Ralphie Report First member of the 2011 class

Shaun Simon, O-line from Hutchinson Community College

6-3 and 315lbs.  He tried to gray shirt at Colorado but couldn't get the credit to transfer and was late to HCC and had to redshirt this past season.  He said that with out football, he was able to study more and get his GPA up.

Welcome to the team again, hopefully you will qualify this time and be a Buff next spring!

Good Luck to you Shaun, welcome to the family.

The Ralphie Report Recruiting update.

Bryce Lamb *** Is torn between CU and Texas Tech, he loves both coaches and what is tearing him between the two is which sport he wants to do.  At Texas Tech he will join the track team, not football, now I don't know if it what the coaches said but his quote on Texas Tech.  "If I went there, and I was missing football, I would think about walking on," Lamb said.  The coaches at CU told him that he would be playing corner or safety and can compete on the track team.

Stanjarivus McKay *** (safety) His hold up is the family is moving to Atlanta and they want him to play close to home.  At all of the schools that he is looking at CU is the closest.  "I'm leaning toward Colorado because of the players and coaching staff," McKay said. "It's looking good for Colorado. My mom and dad really like the Colorado coaches."

But dont rule out UCLA, his child hood favorite.  But they are yet to offer.

Terrell Williams *** Outside linebacker / Safety prospect said, "I loved it out there" and "in a few years, Colorado should be up there". But he also said he wanted to check out some other programs before making his decision.  And the coaches has told them with the depleted line backing core, he could see playing time as a true freshman.

* - rival star rating.

The Ralphie Report Diante Jackson

Looks like the Buffs are in the lead with this kid.

Judging on the rival report:

"I love Colorado," he said. "I feel like that won't change no matter what. Right now it's real hard but I would say I like Colorado more than the others.

This will be a nice weapon for the air attack, and if we can get Bryce to join him.. =D

Now if mom and family gives the ok, he will be ours!!!
