Jets 2011 Opponents
UPDATE: So apparently, now that we have gone through the same rotation twice over the 8 years since the new schedule/division format began, they have made subtle changes to the teams paired up when it comes to the Home and Road teams played for the Cross-Over Division Games.
So Instead of the normal Oak/SD and KC/Den pairing that has been the norm the past 8 seasons, it is now SD/KC and Oak/Den. So Just Flip Flop Oakland and Kansas City for Home and Road.
The Jets with a 2nd Place finish at 11-5 this year in the AFC East will be playing the 2nd Place Teams in the AFC South and North next season, all four AFC West Teams, all four NFC East Teams and of course the six division games.
Home Games: New England, Miami, Buffalo, San Diego, Oakland, Kansas City, Dallas, NY Giants, Jacksonville
Away Games: New England, Miami, Buffalo, Kansas City, Oakland, Denver, Washington, Philadelphia, Baltimore
133-123 (.520 Winning %) is the combined record of the teams the Jets would face next year and when you take out the 12-36 records of the Bills x2 and the Broncos its a heck of a lot harder. 121-87 (.579 Winning %) to be exact
3 legit losing teams/4 games against Denver, Buffalo and Washington is about the only easy part based upon what we all saw from those teams this season. I don't count Miami, Dallas in the losing teams list only cause they will bounce back (Dallas) and/or have given the Jets trouble recently (Miami)
When it comes to a possible 18 Game Schedule, I would assume they would add two more AFC Games since games against the NFC are pretty much meaningless IMO.
My Idea for the possible added 2 games would make the Jets schedule tougher, but that's life. But if you finish in 1st or 2nd, then you play the 1st AND 2nd place teams in the divisions your not playing in full that season.
Since the AFC North 2nd Place is the Road Game this season and AFC South 2nd Place is the Home Game, just flip them for the two added games in case of an 18 game schedule. So if my plan were put in place, add Pittsburgh at home and Indianapolis on the Road.
I would also think that possible Primetime Games for next season is pretty numerous considering the teams on our schedule. I would say the best chances are New England, Baltimore, Dallas, Giants, Eagles, San Diego.

Man In Jets Jersey Robs Bank
Thanks to Bill Price over at the NY Daily News and His Blog, Bitter Bill, he was able to bring to my attention this story about a California Man who robbed a bank....While Wearing a Mark Sanchez Jersey
The Story was originally posted by The Daily Breeze and its not much of a story when it comes to the details of what this guy got away with, but here is the story that they have so far.
"Manhattan Beach. Police are trying to identify a bank robber wearing a green "Mark Sanchez" New York Jets jersey.
The man handed a note demanding money to a teller at Chase Bank, 201 Manhattan Beach Blvd. at 8:50 a.m. Monday. The teller handed over cash.
The balding man is white, 60 to 65 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a heavy build. He had slicked back white hair."
I remember a story earlier this year that mentioned that most criminals wear Yankee Hats more then any other kind of hat, or something like that and if the Jets can keep up their great season, maybe we can overtake the Yankees when it comes to popularity in America's Prisons.
Revis Could Be Out For Broncos Game
According to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News, Darrelle Revis could have some more issues with his Left Hamstring and that it could keep him out of the game on Sunday against the Broncos.
Revis talked about his Injured Left Hamstring and said after the game that....
"Right now, it’s very sore and very swollen," said Revis, who didn’t believe that he strained his left hamstring again.
When asked about whether or not he would play against Denver on Sunday, Revis said,
"I don’t know, As of right now, we’re going to take it day by day like we’ve been doing and see how it goes."
If he is not healthy, then he shouldnt play, its as simple as that. With a bye week coming up after the Denver game, if Revis does sit out, he will have another 2 weeks, but only one game missed, to heal up before the next matchup against the Packers.
Starting with tomorrow and ending on Halloween against the Packers, if Revis sits out against the Broncos, he will have 19 days to rest his hammy and get it more and more healthy.
In a position like Cornerback, having healthy legs is very important and being someone who is always in one-on-one coverage, its even more important because he gets no help from the safeties.
The Broncos have a very good Air Attack and having Revis on the field if healthy will be big. But with the advantage of only missing one game cause of the bye week helps out and not having Revis out longer if he forces the issue and gets hurt worse is more important in my opinion.
If the Jets are smart, they wont force the issue and allow Revis to rest up, sit him out against Denver and give him a chance to finally be 100% and get to work over the final 9 weeks of the season being the best CB in the business.
