Can we PLEASE start talking about FLORIDA now? IT IS TIME.
Here are a few things i would like to see next Saturday.
1. Defer the ball to the second half. Let our D, the strength of the team, start.
2. Involve Peek and Upchurch bigtime. I mean it. Bigtime.
3. GMAC does need to come out guns blazing, like the LSU game. Hopefully the pass will set up the run.
4. As much as I love me some Ingy...Alabama produces champions, not Heismans. Give the ball to Trent, often. He is the hot back right now. I dont care what anyone else says, we would have tripled our rush yrdge againt Aubie if we would have stuck with TR as the #1 back instead of forcing it to an injured Ingram. But who knew?
5. I know a lot of you are not "asthetically pleased" with the dink and dunk passing...but I want to see more of that, also. That will be a key factor for victory. Long, grinded out, time-consuming-keep-UF's-offense-off-the-feild drives.
6. Cody in EVERY 4th and 1 or 2 situation, no matter the feild position. We cannot afford to let them ever have the ball unless we have scored.
7. See #2....See 2nd name. ROY UPCHURCH.
I know how good UF is, but I still dont believe they are as good as last year. I know our style is not as beautiful as theirs, but as we all know, Bama almost always brings the competition to our level of football. Remember, Bama was leading in the fourth quarter against the unstoppable machine known as Florida last year...He whos name will not be mentioned somehow willed his team to victory...with the help of an intentional grounding no-call and SEVERAL holding no-calls...but whatever.
This year is different. Bama is a true 4 quarter team and very capable of overcoming adversity. He whom I will not mention will not be able to win in that fashion against us again without a supurb team effort.
I think Bama will win. And I will be the 1st to say it may not be as close as everyone thinks it will be. Although I do expect another nail-biting thriller. We will have to wait and see. Any other thoughts? Please spare the gloom and doom for the preview....haha.

To all UcheaT Faithful...
A. Offensive playcalling kept the Viles in it longer than they should have been. But our boys played hard and the final scoreboard = winner…F%CK your stats…
B. 2 obvious no- calls saved Vol ass(for as long as possible)…the no call on Julio’s attemptive endzone grab and holding behind Crompton on their inspirational TD drive.
C. Give the Tide SOME slack…Ole Miss and South Carolina brought their TOUGH game and its been a physical few weeks. Our team was tired. UT “found” themselves against UGA and then had 2 weeks to rest and prepare for Bama…and brought EVERYTHING they had.
D. WE ARE 8-0…for a different reason each week, and with no help from zebras< cough> Florida… Thats what is awsome about this team. And thats why we will have another undefeated regular season. GO HIDE IN THE BATHROOM FOR ANOTHER YEAR AND CRY YOU PUKE ORANGE SONS OF BITCHES. THERE IS NO “GENTLEMEN” IN THIS RIVALRY!

Rally call to Tide Fans...Homers and Cautious Optomistics Alike.
This team is special. Very special. There WAS some 'magic' about last season...and serendipity(excuse spelling) showed favor to Bama last year. There WAS a shot at the whole pie last season, if everything had remained perfect. The Tide were lucky last season, avoiding serious injury, taking opportunistic advantage in the polls...the starting team was talented enough to win any game played, but there was no depth, which ultimately showed after Andre.
This year is different. This team has no fear. This team WANTS to win. This team has no 'I'....other than the I-formation. This team has talent in every position, as well as depth. Of course, G-Mac had better stay healthy.
This team has balance, young grasshoppa'...
Of course in any given game, you can get beat. Its the way of the force or whatever.
But, the way Bama is playing now, with the overall consistancy they have shown to outlast, overpower(air as well as ground, now), and put away the opposition in the 2nd half, FINISHING rather than just trying to maintain an early lead from halftime on, shows the championship-level caliber of this team--BCS bound or not.
There is every reason to believe, by observing the way our future opponents have performed in their 1st four games, that every game could(not will) pretty much turn out like our SEC opener, if not better.
Every team is to be taken seriously and never overlooked...and thoroughly prepared for. But honestly, our team againt UK, Ole Miss, USC, UT, LSU, MSU, AUB....oh, and Chattanooga(cough)...as of right now, I do not see the reasoning behind loosing to any of these teams, aside from grave mental errors and injuries to multiple players.
IMO...we have faced the scariest 'O' (Arky) and the best 'D' (VT) on our regular schedule this year...and pretty much dominated, wether the score shows it or not. Urban Meyer is not our coach.
Let the pundits talk up the flava of the week. Let Bama stay at #3. The rest of our opponents are such and such and yadda yadda...good football teams...and so and so is a really good, talented, you know, you know...
but...
THEY HAVENT PLAYED US YET!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Roll Tide...Beat UK!

Ahhh...LSU jonno...
Thank you for your insight on our blogs(see the no-respect-card thread)!
It is great to see good hearted smack being laid every once in a while!
But lets be perfectly honest...
If Bama doesnt show up for some reason or isnt fired up for some reason...I know LSU can beat us and prob would. They are a pretty solid team...as far as lines go.
However, there is no reason to believe the Tide will roll flat this weekend... So thats pretty much that. You believe Scott will be your savior this weekend? He is a powerful rusher, no doubt. But trying to run through our defense WILL not work, barring radical or catastrophic events....so for that i am sorry, LSU.
AS FOR LSU...how do you plan on stopping Coffee, Ingram, Upchurch, AND Grant...for 60 mins.?
As far as quarterbacks go, RIGHT NOW, Id put Wilson over the 'duel threat' QBs of LSU...Its all about game management, ladies and gents....
Bama has the Best O-Line in the SEC...and arguably the best D-Line....or is it the other way around?....
And NO...Bama will prob not score 50pts....Unless yall want to throw a few pick 6s to us, im sure Woodall and Arenas would love a couple more....
And lastly....COACHING, COACHING, COACHING...SABAN OVER MAD HATTER HANDS DOWN....Yes, Miles won a title wih SOMEBODY else's players and almost lost last year to a sizably inferior Alabama team coached by that same SOMEBODY with someone else's players....AIGHT?...did i lose anyone there?
And this year is only a rebuilding year...a damn good one too...AIGHT? Roll Tide!

Hey!!!! Where are the score predictions?
Was it a post from last week that got trumped by more and more recent posts?....oops...i probably should have dug some more before posting this....my internet service was down for 2 days for crying out loud! Im trying to make this 70 words people, so "bear" with me... No opponent should be overlooked of course, BUT im prob one of many who believe that THIS is the toughest game we will play this season...aside from the game to be played in Atlanta come December...MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
i BELIEVE, though, that if (cough...when) the Tide pulls out the W Saturday, we are honestly looking at a historic undefeated season with a NC appearance....barring injuries, of course.
If the tide falls...cough...then I forsee a superb 10 - 2 season with a decent bowl and and a serious ass whippin' to expedite the 'processing' of Tom Tubby.....
Either way, a great start to the rising TIDE!
Oh yea....BAMA 38 OLE MISS 21..... RUN RUN RUN it down their throats!
