30 things I take away from today...
As I wait for the Tylenol PM to kick in before I turn in...I just want to make some observations. So here it goes...
1. Maybe today will shave a few more band-wagoners off the top.
2. It is still great to be a Bama fan...just wait and see what happens next year.
3. Spock...you are a sexy-chick-gif-pic MASTER. Im actually a stomach man myself...then Breast and Booty are tied for 2nd.
4. Isn't it great to melt down about a 9-10 win season?
5. Julio...you are awsome.
6. Mark and Trent...why did the football gods keep both of you injured too often this season?
7. Yes, I am a pesimist(sp?) during gametime. It just mentally prepares me for the L if/when it does happen. For that, I apologize if I ever annoy anyone.
8. If you must melt down, DO NOT SHOUT F@#K BAMA!...or FIRE SO AND SO!....We are not from the state of Florida or Georgia... We won a NC with these coaches last year, so for the ones who can't stand to take a loss like a man...get over yourself.
9. We WILL beat Miss St...even if it is EXTREMELY UGLY...
10. Just go to sleep tonight thinking how badly the Boogs will fall next season...and how much we will improve.
11. Les Miles has beat us 4 of the last 6 games...just saying.
12. It is kinda depressing that Florida will make it to ATL this year...probably.
13. The number of National Championships we have...ahhh...refreshing.
14. G-Mac...you helped bring the crystal ball to T-Town and for that I will always have respects for you. I hope you have enough magic in you for the Iron Bowl to impress all of us one more time.
15. McElwain...get out from under the bed and get aggressive in that booth.
16. I love Family Guy...Stewie and Brian are Gold.
17. If you dont chew Big Red, Then F@#K YOU...
18. Joe Pa...You are the MAN. 400 wins= BADASS.
19. BARNERS...enjoy this single blip of a season yall are having. My prediction for your next season= PAIN.
20. At least we are not TEXAS.
21. x10,000 and we could have nabbed Cam...
22. Na...He 'fits' in Lee County, anyway.
23. Les Miles' LUCK for Heisman!!!
24. We're going to need a bigger boat.
25. So who is the best 2 loss team in the nation? Can we still make it to Glendale? I kidd, I kidd.
26. I'm starting to get sleepy now.
27. We shoulda' done mo' squats...
28. USCe...you FAIL
29. ROLL F@#KING TIDE.
30. These 30 things are for you, Bammer. God bless you and your family and I am sorry for your loss.

I was looking at our schedule and...
Here is the senario...
We have to take this one week--one game at a time. Saban knows this. The team knows this. We all know this by now. Nothing will be given to Bama. And it will be a hell of a challenge to win out, for sure. That being said....
If we win out, Bama will have played 7 RANKED (assuming MSU stays ranked when we play them) teams this season...most of which were in the top 10-15. Then IF we win the SECCG...that will be against another ranked team (I hope)...
So, SEC champions with 8 ranked teams with 1 loss in one season...how the hell would that not deserve a title shot(even if it was not Bama), whether there are 3 or 4 unbeatens ahead of us or not? What do you think?
Anyway, we have beaten our "team issues" dead horse even dead-er than dead. And obviously some things will have to get better on O and our D will hopefully mature a little more and get healthy in the next three weeks...so when that happens, it should be interesting to watch.
Who really wants to see Boise St. versus TCU for the BCSCG?.....really?
Bring on the pumpkins...
Open Letter to the Bronco Community From a Bama Fan.
First, let me say that I am not a troll. I just wanted to get some understanding from your side of the fence on this developing BCS "controversy"...
I have some points, opinions, questions, etc. that I would like to thow out there to get some feedback from yall.
Disclaimer: Yes, I am Tide-biased, and I think your blue field is "questionable"...but to each his own. However, I think BSU is a fine team that can go with any team in the land. Period. THAT BEING SAID,
- I take nothing away from your victory against VT. You beat a BCS team first game of the season, on the road...and it counts.
- But, do you not realize that it is not enough to hang that one victory as your whole season that deserves a NC shot. I mean, you cant seriously think you can play Oregon St. and 10 other SJSUs and expect to play for it all "automatically". Alabama will play 6 ranked opponents(year in, year out) before Dec. and then lord willing, the SEC Championship. I just believe that helps mitigation with any SEC team having hopes of competing for a crystal ball. Unless Boise alligns itself with a stronger conference OR schedules at least 4 games that are against teams like VT, OU, Penn St, or South Carolina/UGA, etc. and wins them all...the rest of the football community will not accept BSU as a championship contender.
- I agree with BSUs rank thus far...and if you win out, you should seriously be in the title talk; but would you be up in arms if an undefeated Ohio St. and undefeated (or even 1 loss ) SEC champion....say....Alabama(hehe) were to play for it? Of couse, I know you would be upset...but...well, you know what I mean.
- As far as SEC OOC scheduling goes, I realize many teams schedule "considerably weaker" teams. But please consider this--The SEC schedule week in and week out is a grindhouse. Like it or not, we hit harder, play harder, sweat more(heat and humidity is a pain), and well, have a lot bigger boys moving around faster and blah blah. Im not going to pretend to be a complete SEC homer. I know several teams from other conferences can beat SEC teams. Im just saying the SEC from top to bottom is the "toughest"...not "winningest" conference in the land. And almost every conference game in the SEC is a rivalry game these days. It is extremely hard to go undefeated in the SEC and therefore, an impressive accomplishment.
- It also will say a lot from the "haters" that San Jose State...one of the Tide's OOC opponents is a sample of your yearly conference opponents. We had third stringers out and our backup quarterback whooping on them before halftime...it could have been much worse. So that does not help your SOS problems. When you play weak programs like that most of the season, it is relatively easier to "get up" for the big games, rested and injury-free, as opposed to the SEC.
- Now, I know Boise cannot change the schedule or conference they are in...this year ;-)
- I hope Boise keeps winning. As long as that happens, It will all come together. I would very much LOVE to see a game between the Broncos and Tide...especially this year or in the near future. I honestly wish Boise could have played Florida in the Sugar Bowl last year. It would have also answered a lot of questions about your team to the CFB community, myself included.
- One last thing...only cause I have been reading some comments on your threads...as far as Utah and the Sugar Bowl of 2008 is concerned, most Bama fans (myself included) will honestly say the Utes were the better team that night...they wanted it more and they took it straight up. Bama learned from it and became a better team. Champions, in fact.
I appologize if I have stirred the pot any. Who knows...Maybe our two teams will meet on the gridiron soon. Until that day comes, stay cool and happy hunting. Now I'm off to my blog to pour on the hate(haha)...
Check out Roll Bama Roll...and make some noise. We are pretty civil over there and would love to debate on matters such as these....We're not all "dumb hicks" down here...chow
Can we PLEASE start talking about FLORIDA now? IT IS TIME.
Here are a few things i would like to see next Saturday.
1. Defer the ball to the second half. Let our D, the strength of the team, start.
2. Involve Peek and Upchurch bigtime. I mean it. Bigtime.
3. GMAC does need to come out guns blazing, like the LSU game. Hopefully the pass will set up the run.
4. As much as I love me some Ingy...Alabama produces champions, not Heismans. Give the ball to Trent, often. He is the hot back right now. I dont care what anyone else says, we would have tripled our rush yrdge againt Aubie if we would have stuck with TR as the #1 back instead of forcing it to an injured Ingram. But who knew?
5. I know a lot of you are not "asthetically pleased" with the dink and dunk passing...but I want to see more of that, also. That will be a key factor for victory. Long, grinded out, time-consuming-keep-UF's-offense-off-the-feild drives.
6. Cody in EVERY 4th and 1 or 2 situation, no matter the feild position. We cannot afford to let them ever have the ball unless we have scored.
7. See #2....See 2nd name. ROY UPCHURCH.
I know how good UF is, but I still dont believe they are as good as last year. I know our style is not as beautiful as theirs, but as we all know, Bama almost always brings the competition to our level of football. Remember, Bama was leading in the fourth quarter against the unstoppable machine known as Florida last year...He whos name will not be mentioned somehow willed his team to victory...with the help of an intentional grounding no-call and SEVERAL holding no-calls...but whatever.
This year is different. Bama is a true 4 quarter team and very capable of overcoming adversity. He whom I will not mention will not be able to win in that fashion against us again without a supurb team effort.
I think Bama will win. And I will be the 1st to say it may not be as close as everyone thinks it will be. Although I do expect another nail-biting thriller. We will have to wait and see. Any other thoughts? Please spare the gloom and doom for the preview....haha.
To all UcheaT Faithful...
A. Offensive playcalling kept the Viles in it longer than they should have been. But our boys played hard and the final scoreboard = winner…F%CK your stats…
B. 2 obvious no- calls saved Vol ass(for as long as possible)…the no call on Julio’s attemptive endzone grab and holding behind Crompton on their inspirational TD drive.
C. Give the Tide SOME slack…Ole Miss and South Carolina brought their TOUGH game and its been a physical few weeks. Our team was tired. UT “found” themselves against UGA and then had 2 weeks to rest and prepare for Bama…and brought EVERYTHING they had.
D. WE ARE 8-0…for a different reason each week, and with no help from zebras< cough> Florida… Thats what is awsome about this team. And thats why we will have another undefeated regular season. GO HIDE IN THE BATHROOM FOR ANOTHER YEAR AND CRY YOU PUKE ORANGE SONS OF BITCHES. THERE IS NO “GENTLEMEN” IN THIS RIVALRY!
Rally call to Tide Fans...Homers and Cautious Optomistics Alike.
This team is special. Very special. There WAS some 'magic' about last season...and serendipity(excuse spelling) showed favor to Bama last year. There WAS a shot at the whole pie last season, if everything had remained perfect. The Tide were lucky last season, avoiding serious injury, taking opportunistic advantage in the polls...the starting team was talented enough to win any game played, but there was no depth, which ultimately showed after Andre.
This year is different. This team has no fear. This team WANTS to win. This team has no 'I'....other than the I-formation. This team has talent in every position, as well as depth. Of course, G-Mac had better stay healthy.
This team has balance, young grasshoppa'...
Of course in any given game, you can get beat. Its the way of the force or whatever.
But, the way Bama is playing now, with the overall consistancy they have shown to outlast, overpower(air as well as ground, now), and put away the opposition in the 2nd half, FINISHING rather than just trying to maintain an early lead from halftime on, shows the championship-level caliber of this team--BCS bound or not.
There is every reason to believe, by observing the way our future opponents have performed in their 1st four games, that every game could(not will) pretty much turn out like our SEC opener, if not better.
Every team is to be taken seriously and never overlooked...and thoroughly prepared for. But honestly, our team againt UK, Ole Miss, USC, UT, LSU, MSU, AUB....oh, and Chattanooga(cough)...as of right now, I do not see the reasoning behind loosing to any of these teams, aside from grave mental errors and injuries to multiple players.
IMO...we have faced the scariest 'O' (Arky) and the best 'D' (VT) on our regular schedule this year...and pretty much dominated, wether the score shows it or not. Urban Meyer is not our coach.
Let the pundits talk up the flava of the week. Let Bama stay at #3. The rest of our opponents are such and such and yadda yadda...good football teams...and so and so is a really good, talented, you know, you know...
but...
THEY HAVENT PLAYED US YET!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Roll Tide...Beat UK!
Now that everyone is a lil calmer...maybe...
look, AFTER the first quarter...
Ahhh...LSU jonno...
Thank you for your insight on our blogs(see the no-respect-card thread)!
It is great to see good hearted smack being laid every once in a while!
But lets be perfectly honest...
If Bama doesnt show up for some reason or isnt fired up for some reason...I know LSU can beat us and prob would. They are a pretty solid team...as far as lines go.
However, there is no reason to believe the Tide will roll flat this weekend... So thats pretty much that. You believe Scott will be your savior this weekend? He is a powerful rusher, no doubt. But trying to run through our defense WILL not work, barring radical or catastrophic events....so for that i am sorry, LSU.
AS FOR LSU...how do you plan on stopping Coffee, Ingram, Upchurch, AND Grant...for 60 mins.?
As far as quarterbacks go, RIGHT NOW, Id put Wilson over the 'duel threat' QBs of LSU...Its all about game management, ladies and gents....
Bama has the Best O-Line in the SEC...and arguably the best D-Line....or is it the other way around?....
And NO...Bama will prob not score 50pts....Unless yall want to throw a few pick 6s to us, im sure Woodall and Arenas would love a couple more....
And lastly....COACHING, COACHING, COACHING...SABAN OVER MAD HATTER HANDS DOWN....Yes, Miles won a title wih SOMEBODY else's players and almost lost last year to a sizably inferior Alabama team coached by that same SOMEBODY with someone else's players....AIGHT?...did i lose anyone there?
And this year is only a rebuilding year...a damn good one too...AIGHT? Roll Tide!
Hmmm...Gator Muscle...
Is Florida REALLY this freakin awsome?
We Have Nothing to Fear...but Fear Itself!
I know....corny.....
Hey!!!! Where are the score predictions?
Was it a post from last week that got trumped by more and more recent posts?....oops...i probably should have dug some more before posting this....my internet service was down for 2 days for crying out loud! Im trying to make this 70 words people, so "bear" with me... No opponent should be overlooked of course, BUT im prob one of many who believe that THIS is the toughest game we will play this season...aside from the game to be played in Atlanta come December...MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
i BELIEVE, though, that if (cough...when) the Tide pulls out the W Saturday, we are honestly looking at a historic undefeated season with a NC appearance....barring injuries, of course.
If the tide falls...cough...then I forsee a superb 10 - 2 season with a decent bowl and and a serious ass whippin' to expedite the 'processing' of Tom Tubby.....
Either way, a great start to the rising TIDE!
Oh yea....BAMA 38 OLE MISS 21..... RUN RUN RUN it down their throats!
Well now AU, what turn of events!
"im behind Franklin, 100%" according to tubbs.......WOW.....with friends like that...who needs enemies?
I know, focus...Ole Miss and all that, but come on...its a bye week and we fans need a lil recreation while the team rests and prepares.........
Oh yea, 75 words...ummmm...AU has beaten us by an average of like 7.8 ppg in the past 6 years. I think the exact # of pts equals 47. the last time we beat AU...wasnt it like 31 to 7 or something like that? Well, theres only one thing i can say about that...WE HAVE COME FULL CIRCLE BABY!!! ROOOLLL TIDE!!!
Man, is it Oct 18th Yet?
I know, I know...Some resting and refocusing is much needed for ANOTHER 6-0 run....
...More Monday Blatherings
But hey, thats why we have blogs!
PLEASE READ! Stirring some more kool aid....a message to the TIDE
...and sorry, Tide players, its not for yall...fans only!
