Bob Brenly interested in Cubs and other managerial jobs
He said today on Waddle & Silvy that he is very interested in managing in baseball again and would listen to almost any team (including the Cubs) willing to talk with him about it.
Don't know if this is news, but it seems to go against the guys that say "He won't leave his cushy job."
Does anyone have a vid/sound byte/ whatever of the Lee Smith stretch from last night?

Cubs Interested in Bringing Lou Back Next Year
It will be interesting to see how all of this plays out, especially with so many good manager options for the next few years.

ESPN 1000 reports that the Cubs are attempting to trade for Seattle Mariners RHP Aaron Heilman. The Mariners expect a pitcher as well as Cedeno in return. No links to any reputable sources yet, but report was made around 10:00 this morning.
