Building The Dam Star Map to "Unlikely" Beavs Championship

All the reports I read about what could happen over the next four weeks seem to suggest that Beavers have the most unfathomable road to caprturing the PAC-10 crown.  I don't see it that way.  Arizona and Oregon do hold the keys to their own fate and of course USC is lurking with a favorable schedule which could result in the rest of the country yawning at the PAC-10 race when USC beats UA in the final game of the regular season.  But this doesn't seem too outlandish to me:

Nov. 14th

Stanford beats USC at the coliseum (again)-  They are the only ones to do it in, like, forever.  Harbaugh has these guys rolling and after serving the Ducks the way they did considering the way the Ducks handled USC, it's not a reach to say Furd has a really good chance.

OSU squeaks by UW-  I know, I know.  The Dawgs are fighting for a bowl game though and we haven't been that great at home.  UW also likes to play the upset role and they have a good team.  I think we win this one on the foot of our kicker (again).  Plus, I went to homecoming since it was the only legitimate shot at me seeing a game this year and I have to say our attendance was PATHETIC!  We need to fill that place and get loud!  I almost thought I was in Berkeley.

Cal vs. Cats-  It would be nice to see the Bears give AZ one of the two losses and Tedford still has weapons despite Best going down.  If their defense plays the way it is capable of playing, I think they could pull the upset.  Syd is an animal.

ASU at Knight's- ASU has a defense.  Erickson could get one win at Autzen.  That would be nice.  It's been a long time since I've had back-to-back euphoric weekends like 11-7 but let's be real.

Building The Dam Major cable networks in bidding wars for OSN, Ducks football

Not everything is looking down for the University of Oregon football program after Thursday's epic meltdown in Boise.  Sources have speculated that major cable channels have warmed to the image of Duck's football and could revive the Oregon Sports Network by putting Oregon athletics into the national spotlight.  The two main players are Bravo and Spike cable channels.

Bravo had initially expressed interest after becoming aware of the the Duck's flashy uniforms that have seperated the football team into a class of it's own in NCAA football.  "Obviously Mr. Belotti had extremely acute fashion sense when Nike began clothing the players with the diamond plate pattern, but apparently Mr. Kelly was not as keen on the fundamentals of fashion." said Tim Gunn of Bravo's successful reality show 'Project Runway'.  "It's really exciting to think of the possibilities that we could have using sequins, boas, and more glitter to make it work for coach Kelly"

Another audience that Bravo feels the Ducks athletic programs appeal to are the viewers of 'The Real Housewives' series.  Donald, the University of Oregon mascot stated that "(he) has been one of the pioneers of fighting for superficial reasons.  (Donald) had began the tradition of viciously attacking other mascots long before LeGarrette came here and long before 'The Real Housewives' started publicizing their drama."  Donald also stated that the mascot character should have more exposure whether Bravo or Spike pickup Duck's football by being cast for contrived reality shows that appeal to people's more basic instincts.  "That's what the fans here in Eugene want to see"

Joe Rogan has been an outspoken supporter of Ducks football recently and has gone to the top brass at Spike to counter Bravo's attempt to land the Ducks.  "After what I saw Thursday, I mean, this is what Spike is all about!  If anyone can promote Ducks football to a national audience it's us."  Rogan was eluding to Blount's punch that dropped an unsuspecting Boise St. defensive player after the final gun had sounded.  Rogan also hosts a widely popular reality show on Spike that pits professional fighters against each other while chronicling their interactions as roommates. "I make my living off of male on male violenece and drama.  It just makes sense."

Some fans in Eugene have not been as receptive to the idea of putting Ducks football on the national stage via cable.  "I can't get them channels on my picture box." said an anonymous fan with a shopping cart full of stripped baby dolls.  "All persons I know are havin a real bull of a time getting them rabbit ears to pick up public access as it is and now them high falootins spect us to watch them gays and steroiders promote the dukes [sic]?"

Regardless of where the Ducks end up this year, whether on T.V. or ham radio, fans will flock (pun intended) to catch the next round (pun intended again) of Duck drama unfold.  Coach Kelly could not be reached for comment but one source overheard him say that anything to divert speculation of his inadequackies as a head coach in the Pac-10 will be welcomed and if it means putting the games on networks who promote catfights and being fierce will certainly be more hospitable than networks that love to create controversies and question bad judgements.

The End?

Building The Dam Put a lid on it and let it simmer

To My Fellow Beavers,

There is absolutley nothing better than watching all of your duckfan friends and family turn green with anger and yellow with shame when the Beavs walk off the field with a win in the Civil War.  Every year I get the same smack talk and worthless stats from duckfan as they try to explain how great they think they are.

I want to suggest that Beaver Nation keep a lid on their own s-talking during the next couple of days.  My own private research has shown that those who spew venom and rhetoric to demean the other team usually get those words crammed right back down their throats.

There are no better examples than the 2000 & 2007 CWs.  I'll never forget watching the ducks come out of Gill before facing Smith, Simonton, and Johnson already holding roses and "talkin' that jive" at the Beavers fans.  I'll never forget the over-confidence and bufoonery of duckfan which quickly turned to unbridled rage and disorientation when we left Autzen with the "W".

My startegy suggests that duckfan will again be forced to eat its own turd sandwich as long as we as Beavers fans approach the game the same way as the team would.  Be warned that duckfan will approach you with convoluted reasons as to why the Beavers don't stand a chance and attempt to bring you into an argument, similar to how a Rush Limbaugh listener will engage any sane person, in hopes that you equal or surpass the level of ignorance that their mind cannot let go of.

Save it for post game, than we'll really see duckfan's true colors (usually they point to basketball season at this point).

Besides, we all know which team has shown they can rise to the occassion.
