Chane Behanan...
Chane had a pretty damn good first game in the King of the Bluegrass. His team went up against a pretty solid Iroquois team and handed them a loss. Chane finished with 40 points and 18 rebounds. He had a couple of dunks along with 2 missed dunks. One of the misses he was fouled. He is a solid Free Throw shooter and can step back and bury the three!
Cant wait to have in in RED AND BLACK!
5. TJ23
4. Chane Behanan
3. Rock Buckles
2. Wayne Blackshear
1. Peyton Siva
Thats what I'm looking at the lineup being next year! Don't take that as a knock on this years team as me looking forward to next year... I'm still with this years team!!!
Go Cards!
King of the Bluegrass
It is that time of year again where I come back and promote this event. The King of the Bluegrass is a High School basketball tournament where in-state and out-of-state teams compete. It is hekd at Fairdale high School from December 17-22.
We "Cardinals" have had numerous recruits play in this tournament with most notably 2 years ago Peyton Siva.
This year Llyod Gardener has rounded up another great field. Here are thetop kids in the tournament, their stats and commitments.
1. Chane Behanan, Bowling Green (75) 6-7 Sr. 21.3 Louisville
2. Zach Price, Jeffersontown (8) 6-10 Sr. 9.1 #Louisville
3. George Fant, Warren Central (3) 6-7 Sr. 15.0 Western Kentucky
4. Tony Kimbro Jr., Jeffersontown (1) 6-5 Sr. 12.0 N/A
5. Remy Abell, Eastern (2 )6-4 Sr. 13.0 Bradley

21. Arman Marks, Eastern 6-3 Sr.8.0 N/A

25. Donovan Kates, Christian County 6-5 Sr. 15.0 N/A
The games start NEXT Friday December 17th at 430pm.
The schedule of games cane be found here.
I think its pretty cool to go there wearing your colors and cheer the kids on. I know when UK has a commit in this tournament they flood the gyms with blue. Would be nice to see a bunch of red!
Either way, its a great tournament and a great chance to watch good solid basketball!
Have fun and I hope you go!

Walter McCarty gone?
With the Cardinal 9's departure last night here comes another departure...
Just got word that he is done with the cards...
Supposed to be joining the Pacers?
Anybody else hear this?
Wish we could have landed Kenny Payne for Asst. Coach. But we all know Coach P will get somebody worth having...
This OUR PG!!!!
LOVE HIM!
Can anybody give a brief synopsis of what Jason Osbourne and Tick Rodgers are up to these days?
I missed the game and wasn't able to see the interviews?
Thanks...
Ragones prediction?
Was anybody else shocked when this guy said we could win 9-10 games this year...?
in a way at first reading it i was like... man this guy is trippin...
but look at the schedule... and you really have to hope we can at least comepete with the teams we are playing... UTAH is a loss no matter what...
but i think we have a VALID shot at getting 7 wins...
I'm REaDy
Go Cards!
my picks for QB...
enough already.. pull the trigger on this deal... Trade Cutler for another QB... I mean honestly, i wasnt a fan of the draft pick when we traded up to get him... I was wanting to trade up and get Matt Lienart...
So to make me happy, I have come up with a couple of trade options I would love to see happen...
Straight up... trade Cutler for Lienart... Id except that... yes Mattyboy has struggled somewhat, but I mean we know he is capable of leading TALENT to victories... trst me... he was just a bad fit in Arizona...
but I know some of us arent going to like that trade... so here is another guy I am VERY high on...
I know he is what... 3rd string at the moment... but I believe he is the best QB on his team...
The team... Packers... the kid??? Brian Brohm.... I know first hand being a Louisville kid myself what Brian is capable of... his SR year was absurd bc of the dumbass coach we brought in here at Louisville, but Brian has tremendous accuracy and leadership abilities... He is a winner and would make a great franchise QB...
please dont go after the raiders Jamarcus Russell or ANY OTHER QB for an SEC school... I am just not a supporter...
Brian Brohm and Matt Lienart top my list...
Senior Night Tips!!!???
CC Nation... I am planning on attending Wednesday nights game against Seton Hall, and I am looking for suggestions to make my luck a little easier...
I am wanting to get T-Will to autograph a jersey...
If anybody has any suggestions on improving my luck I would love to hear it...
I know after todays game he signed his shoes and tossed them in the stands...
Lets get 2 more wins in the regular season and hope for Pittsburg to beat UConn for a regular season confrence title!
QB battle shrinks...
Yeager not coming... but I'm not to worried I mean really do we thinkf Krapthorpe would know how to utilize him?
Prolly not..
Lets go Burke...
due to the 75 word limit I must ramble now...
well maybe just copy/paste...
Go Cards! Go Cards! Go Cards! Go Cards! Go Cards! Go Cards! Go Cards!

Peyton Siva
whos going to the King of the Bluegrass to check this kid out?
I will be there for sure...
Fairdale High School - Thusday at 7pm...
Wear red if you plan to go... he'll see it...!
Bc the cat fans sure show up and let thier boys know about it... Jon Hood will be there friday night at 9pm... and Ill be there too... however Im sure there will be TONS of blue a tthe game...
go cards!
Future QB...?!
I was at the WVU game and wathced Hunter keep warm on the sidelines throwing the ball with Simms...
Is it me or does that kid have THE UGLIEST throwing motion ever? I mean its almost liek he has a rubberband on his wrist and hip...
His arm never went over his shoulder. Its hard to say that it was "just playing around" bc I seen his fake a scramble and make the same motion.
There is no way he will be able to get the ball downfield without it being tipped by defensive linemen...
I know a lot fo you hate it when Hunters passes are tipped or knocked down as do I, but I think thats just poor release time... he takes 4 seconds to cock and release...
But if this Burke kid is the one I'm thinking of where he was blistering people in high school with like 700 ypg and like 1,000,000 TDs in career then I want him firing that freakin pigskin!
Wolfe made me cringe when he filled in for hunter on what... 2 plays this year...
lets hope Krag decides to leave and TJ offers English...
VMI
is there really anything else to say except for way to go VMI!
I Love it... UK LOOKED REALLY good in exhibitions and EVEN had me thinking they could be a scary surprise... but then tonights loss at home to VMI showed that they still have sevedal rungs on the ladder to climb out from being mediocre.
Well, I donh't think UK will lose more than 10 games and do believe they will be no less than an 8 seed in tourney... I hope they lose more and more frequrnetly...
I don't mind to bash the cats... it is what I love!
Go VMI!
Stay healthy Cards!

Rick Pitino
was a busy man on ESPN today.
First, he was on ESPN's First Take and just moments ago he was on Jim Rome is Burning.
Both appearances were to promote his new book "Rebound Rules: The Art of Success 2.0" written by Rick Pitino and Pat Forde.
His appearance on Jim Rome was a humbling one. He spoke more about tragedies in his life; 1. His son Daniel Pitino passing away as an infant and 2. losing his besy friend in life and brother and law Billy Minardi in 9-11.
I knew about both incidents, but I just thought the way he spoke of how sports was his passion and basically his keep on keepin on to stay positve and remember them in a positive way.
Have a good day people...
Go Cards!
"Starting to turn the corner"
FINALLY Krapthorpe has said something I like. I know just a few posts ago I was ready for a new coach and ready to give the job to Ron English... And believe me... I woul still do it tomorrow... But this whole give the guy his time and let him get his system and personnell in there... is slowly making osme progress...
Don't get me wrong, by no means am I sending Krapthorpe a christmas card this year... but he still has time to say some things and get some things done before my cards get in the mail...
Go Cards!
Mister Victor
Big Time in the Prime Time. Victor Anderson showed that the future for this offense is bright... We definately have the talent to make things happen as he showed tonight!
Good Game for Hunter Cant-throw-well as Ive heard it be said.. he still missed on a some throws... but tonight he reminded us of why we were so high on him coming into the season... he was a leader out there.... Good Game!
I was telling somebody that even thought it was Kansas State... We were doing things in a fundamentally sound way. It looked good... Good execution on things...
The defense could have had a stellar game if they didn't miss 17 tackles on 3 plays that gave up 197 yards... (punt return and 2 passes) I didnt like the penalties... got a little sloppy for a second with them...
CHRIS PHILPOT HAS GOT TO GO! I DONT WANT HIM TO KICK ANOTHER BALL WHILE WEARING A CARDINAL UNIFORM.... that is unacceptable... MISSING a PAT... I can at least live with having a PAT blocked... BUT MISSING A PAT?!?!?! are you serious?
Where was the barefooted kicker? I was wanting to see it!
Overall, good game... We needed this mainly because it was a NATIONALLY televised game on ESPN2 and our offense put up near 600 yards... so that should at least keep some talent interested...
Keep rollin Cards keep Rollin!
Game Ball... no doubt.. Mister Victor Anderson!
K-State Tickets!
Anybody wanting to get rid of any?
Id like to have 2
Thanks,
JimmyClifford
Wow this 75 word limit sucks...
So I'm hoping we beat K State... I think if our RBs blast through the hole it will open up our passing game... but that is the story of all og\ffenses.... if you can run the ball you can throw the ball...
Take care!
Darn it... still a few words short...
Go Cards! Win One for the Gipper...
ooops wrong team...
So yea... Im looking for 2 tickets to Louisvilel and Kstate... Anybody have any the wont use or want to get rid of?
Sorry for the blabber... but the limit got me. Im sure I exceeded the limit about 20 words agao now... so Ill stop.
Thanks again!
home games...
so if any of you have tickets and wont go to the game...
I am always looking for tickets...
Looking for tickets to these games...
9/17 - Kansas St. 8 pm
9/26 - Connecticut 8 pm
11/14 - Cincinnati 8 pm
help if you can
Will pay face value... or SLIGHTLY more... not worth much more...
and none the less... I will use the seat(s) for the DURATION of the game...
I will not leave early no matter what the outcome is...
I hate when our fans leave early... and we want to expand... ha
Curiosity Running Wild...
Ok, so the other day we all heard about the loss of big Clarence Halloway. Even though he never really put on a Cardinal uniform, I don't recall seeing an article on him on this site.
So in case any of you missed it, even though we have T Jenn and SamSam comming in next year, we already lost DC and now we are losing another big man in Halloway. Apparently he will never be able to take part in physical activities again with the disease he has been diagnosed with.
Also, I was browsing espn.com and found an article/contest where they are searching for "Title Town U.S.A."
Louisville has been named #2 out of 20 in contention... Which in my opinion to be recognized is a great accomplishment in itself... you can read the story here...
Louisville tries to slug its way to TItle Town
so we will see what happens.
Enjoy yoursleves Ladies and Gents....
Watch Big Brown win the Triple Crown Saturday!
Changes...
From the rise and fall of the football program to the early exits from the basketball team.
Kragthorpe deserves at least 5 years, that way he can recruit "his players" and instill his system. I also believe that he needs to show a hell of a lot more emotions rather than stuff his playbook down the front of his trousers, cross his arms and stick out the "pouty" lip like a 4 year old...
I think Rick Pitino will regret forcing Derrick Caracter out the door, but I also feel that it may be best for the kid. I mean I doubt if he was actually applying himself towards a degree. Hell, he probablly hasnt even declared a major yet. Buy I wish him the best and wish he was still in a Cardinals uniform next season.
Earl Clark will not see much action next year. Will he make an impact in the pros ever? Possibly. All-Star... I think not! But I wish him the best too.
If Sosa is going to stay at the University of Louisville, I hope he grows a set over the summer, because he needs to understand that this is a team game and he can't win without the team... He by far is not bigger than the program, he could leave and maybe only about 14 people would miss him. However, on the other side, he could stay and melt away our hearts. He has the talent... but does he have the passion?
