A so called "Expert" over at espn says the blazers will spend more time shopping at the men's wearhouse than on the court. And of course he is from LA so let the hate begin.

At The Hive A Look at A CP3 Trade

Hello Hive members im a blazer fan....and im not here to offer trades about chris paul or any other nonsense about that. I just wanted to share my thoughts about this whole Chris Paul maybe being dealt scenario.First and formost I don't think hes going to be traded hes one of the main reasons there are butts in seats in New Orleans. But let's explore the main reason this scenario would go down and really it's the only reason it would go down.

-MONEY

There it is Money that's it. Not a trade for talent not even a trade because your superstar just wont get it done but Money. So in any trade thats going to come across that's going be appealing to Shinn it's only going to be about money. I was reading some of the comments about some of the trades being thrown out there and it seems that everyone here believes that if a trade were to go down that the hornets should recieve someone in return who is an all star caliber. Which in theory is fair and just. But remember it's about money. So let's revisit this Blazer trade and remember I don't think you guys are going to trade him and im not here to push any uneven trade. Two expiring contracts worth about 13 mil (There is the money) and then you get bayless and nic batum (two cheap contracts) and a draft pick. So as a fan that deal is insulting but to a owner who is all about money that deal is great you drop a lot of salary and get two young players with easy contracts. Because lets say we go in the direction of fans and the blazers throw in Brandon Roy where does that help in the money aspect? It dosent it keeps you right about where you are talent wise and since the whole reason shinn would even make a deal on trading chris paul it's going to be about saving M O N E Y. So be prepared to hear some more rediculous trades in which you guys get shafted.

Blazer's Edge STEVE PATTERSON IS SO FULL OF IT

I was listening to the morning sports page yesterday morning and they brought on steve patterson as a guest for the second time I know of. Listening to this guy spew out total bs made me sick. Here are a few talking points that made me lose any respect for this guy.

1. He was the one responsible for bringing Roy and Aldridge here and then went on to say "kp was responsible for the sergio deal"

2.He would have taken Kevin durant over oden because he was always concerned with the health of Greg Oden

3.Then he really starts to dig the knife in deep when he says something to the effect of "When your a GM you need to take the bullets when the blame is passed out and give the credit to the organization and not leak info to the press"

4.And he wasnt responsible for the darius miles contract Paul Allen was

Ok so lets assume he could be telling the truth on some of this, because we don't know. In no part of this conversation does this self promonting fool talk about anything wrong that he did. And thats where I can't believe him and I can't see how many people can. So what do you guys think about the interview? Oh and im going to steal a line that I heard last night from one of the callers to the Daily Wrap on 95.5 "You cant strike out 8 times while at bat and then take credit for the no hitter"

Here is the link to the audio of the interview if you missed it

Blazer's Edge So Kp is after CP3

Earlier today I was listening to the bald face truth this afternoon with John Canzano and they had Jason Quick on and he once again was talking about KP and his "One last trick" trade and it seems now that it does hold some water. He could't share what position in which they were going to be trading for but said that basically in a nut shell joel and andre would most likely be the base of a trade. So in putting two and two together its pretty obvious they are going after a big name point guard. And then now we here the report from Yahoo sports about Chris Paul I tell you what im super stoked. Listen I am not getting stoked because I think the deal is actually going to happen but im happy that he is actually trying to make a blockbuster deal but the sad thing about it is why did it take him on the verge of losing his job to try and make this kind of deal?  So I know that Ben posted the story by Yahoo sports and some of you had a chance to post your comments so I guess we will make this the overflow post.

Blazer's Edge What does tom penn have on Larry miller?

I just got back from watching the winterhawks loose, which in part I didn't really seem to sad about seeing as how I don't care too much...but thats not what im here to talk about. Anyway I was at the game courtesy of 955 the game giving out tix to see the game in there suite. My buddy matt and I made our way to the suite and were suprised to see dwight jaynes at the game. Some time went by and being bored by the game I turned and asked dwight about the whole KP disaster. He then went onto say that the tom penn situation was much jucier. He went on to say that tom penn apparently had some dirt on larry miller that he was trying to use to his advantage and that is why he got fired so abruptly. Here is the link to dwight jaynes blog  www.dwightjaynes.com as  I checked he has just posted about it. So it makes me wonder what exactly did tom penn have on Larry Miller? And what was he trying to get for this imformation? Let  me know what you think.......

Blazer's Edge WHY NATE? WHY??

Why are we not playing andre miller in the fourth quarter? That is what I would ask nate mcmillan. He worked his tail off last night getting rebounds scoring and dishing the ball like a vetran point guard should.
And for what? He gets to sit on the bench and watch. Now I know nate is partial to steve blake and maybe the reasoning is he wants to keep the rotations the same game in and game out but cmon, this is just rediculous I was screaming at the tv last night when the camera would glance over at andre on the bench. I felt his pain. So instead we blew a lead that we fought so hard to get back. Im not saying it was anyone persons fault. Because it wasnt. But I thought we would have least had another scoring threat since lamarcus just vanished off of the face of the planet.

Blazer's Edge LEBRON V K*BE

Sitting here on a quiet sunday trying to shake that loss last night with the bucks. I recently was reading dwight jaynes post a couple days ago before the cavs game and It had me thinking about k*be v Lebron. Who is the better player? As of now,I was always saying if I couldn't pick B Roy then id have to go with Lebron. But as of late I can't seem to question this. Dont get my wrong I hate K*be and everything he and the F*akers are. But putting Lebrons antics into the spotlight Im going to have to say K*be is a better represenative of the game then Lebron is at this time. I can't take it anymore watching the cavs games with the constant pre game antics that I understand that maybe helps there team chemistry. But cmon you are dominating some teams and DANCING?!? Really??!  Come on I thought K*be was classless. I know he thinks it's all in fun but cmon its a joke and really really getting old and at least in the NFL you would get flagged for this kind of behavior its called UN SPORTSMAN LIKE CONDUCT. Lebron i suggest you look it up.

Oh yea heres the link to the god fathers blog to check the vid out in which got me fired up . http://www.dwightjaynes.com/

Blazer's Edge Sergios got his bags packed and is already gone

I ran across this article and thought id share it with those of you who havent seen it. I personally think its best for the team anyway. Sergio knows he is probably going to get traded hes just preparing himself for the move. So pack your bags and say good bye to the spanish armada. Im really curious to see how Rudy is going to take this. But seeing how this is a buissness you can't worry about splitting up buddies.

The Dream Shake Total BS calls from a blazer fan prospective

I'M not going to say much just wanted some thoughts on these videos of some rediculous calls on fridays game. The first clip shane battier falls down on his own and the blazers are called for a foul. The second clip greg oden touches yao.Yes he touches him and apparently the agressivness of his touch is warrent for a foul.

The Dream Shake Chances are you rocket fans will bein the 5th spot

I am a blazer fan and im here to put my two cents in. I think you all have a good thing going and definetly kicked our butts. with that being said we won tonight you won tonight and san antonio won tonight, so were all 53-28 with that said I am comfident we beat denver they won the division already if there not resting some players i will be suprised plus we have won the last 9-10 (our one loss was the rockets of course :) now san antonio might loose as well with pop wantin to rest timmy but i dont think he has that luxury so I see them beating New Orleans. Which leaves us with you the rockets going into a dallas team that has been balling out of there @!s there not going to want to slip to the 8th spot to face the lakers so i really have a hard time seeing them loosing to the rockets especially at home.

Let the hating on me begin ......

Blazer's Edge Waiting is overrated?

Name me 5 teams in this decade that have notmade a trade to get better to win aq championship? Im not that knowledgeable in this area so if there is anyone who can please do.Because any team that i can think of has traded to get that missing piece. Waiting for things to simmer and see is fine and dandy, But on the flip side why not get better quicker? And by the way im not saying get rid of the whole team. keep the core the same brandon, lamarcus, oden

Blazer's Edge What do the Blazears need most from a Trade?

The blazers are starving for a SF that can start and contribute right away. So if they do make a trade which I believe they will I hope they fill this obvious hole. Brandon roy covers a lot of of ugly spots on this team with his pure talent but you have to ask yourself how many more games can this team come from behind and win  which seems to ble more times than not  lately. We do also need a point guard but there is a real lack of valuble guards  up for trade now. Plus I do think steve blake is a good enough Guard for them right now.

Blazer's Edge Are Blazer fans Guilty?

I was at home sitting on the couch watching Trail Blazers courtside last night when something was said on a phone interview with a chicago columnist, that got me thinking. He said something to the affect that chicage was in the same position a while back with a bunch of young players that everyone fell in love with and may have over rated from a biast point of view. Essentially he said no one got traded and that it just imploded to the big mess they have today. Although I dont believe we have the same problem in portland it does make me wonder. Do we over rate our players? Are we too much in love with them to trade them? I think the answer to both questions is YES. But in our defense we as blazer fans have been pushed into grasping onto something that is not tainted like we have so very well come to expect from latter years of the JAIL BLAZERS era. There is truth to the saying you have too many "ASSETS" (Players) and looking from the outside in we do. We have a log jam of good players at many positions. Lets take Travis Outlaw for example looking from the outside in. He is a high volume shooter that comes off the bench. Thats all he is thats all he will ever be. He once said he wanted to be a ALL STAR well last time I checked bench players dont make the ALL STAR team. All im saying is that we as fans are guilty of liking these guys too much to get rid of them maybe not now but in the future as well. I know I found myself having a hard time imaging som of our players on different teams. But I think we need to start looking at them as other teams do as really good ASSETS.

Blazer's Edge Time to cash in our Golden Ticket

As the 19th of march is approaching, we as blazers fans are wondering and hoping to hear somethin from KP on exactly what is happening behind closed doors. As I sit and wait scowering the internet, as well as watching sports center nonstop.Which by the way my wife is sick of hearing the constant SC chime. But I can't help it I want a trade I want the blazers to be better than they are. Yes I know many people are sying no to a trade, but unlike them I believe we have a golden opportunity to get a whole lot for a little. RLEC is our golden ticket to willy wonkas house of hoops. With the economy the way it is there is a lot of cash strapped teams out there looking for a way to save a dime. With that in mind I do agree we dont grab the first bad offer on the table. That is why we have KP, I trust he will do anything to make this a better team.  And as far as thos people who still dont want a trade because we are sitting at 31-19 think about the fact that we shouldnt be waiting on some players to grow and develop outside of jerryd bayless we know what we have. We have a travis outlaw that is amazing at times but in general hes not that great of a players. Think not? watch a game and i can predict what outlaw will do 95 percent of the time (catch dribble, dribble, shoot) Thats good and all when there falling but we need something more. All in all im a die hard blazer fan that is impatient why not get better as fast as you can?
