Great J-Lin scouting report from SB Nation's Mike Prada
All points dead-on - perhaps most notably, Lin's dribbling height and its importance.
Premiership chances created and converted
This is City-centric as it was written by a City fan, but it ranks all Premier League teams in chances created and converted. Somewhat unsurprisingly, we rank high (2nd) in chances created and are middle of the pack (10th) in conversion percentage (Manny being Manny). We also seem to be roughly average in terms of ratio of chances created in open play vs. set pieces. (Stoke, of course, is way out in front for % of chances created from set pieces.)
Knickerblogger takes the skeptical view of Davis signing
Personally, I think the Francis/McGrady/Hardaway stuff is irrelevant, and I'm not sure how much weight to put on Baron's shot-taking in the past. First of all, he's never played with a group like this before. Second of all, TD isn't exactly a pass first PG either, so I don't see how Davis taking shots puts us in a worse position. He takes 15 shots per 36 minutes for his career, but he's spent most of his career as a primary or secondary scorer. I highly doubt he's going into this expecting to be anything above the third option on offense. Last year for the Clippers he played about 30 minutes and took about 12 shots per game. I'd expect something around 11 shots in 30 minutes per game from him this year, which I think is fine.
In Atlantic Division rival "news"...
All I see in Garnett's statement is "fry it up", "tortilla", and "expect it to taste good", so I think I'm in complete agreement!
But seriously, let's make like '99 and crush these prima donnas on our way to the Finals.
This is JD and the Straight Shot. It made me cry. FIXING THE KNICKS IS NOT YOUR JOB.

Landry Fields Appreciation Post
So, here we are, fellow Knicks fans, standing at the edge of a new era. Some of us like what we see. Some of us are afraid. Most of us are going to miss our friends what got sent up the river. At times of great uncertainty, it's important to reflect and take stock of what we have. And what we have is this: Landry Fields, starting shooting guard for the New York Knicks.
(this is the Landryest Snuggie of all time)

WAR on Sportscenter
Sportscenter just used WAR to compare Tulowitzki to Hanley and Jeter. I think this is kind of a big deal.
Hilarious and depressing, like many things about this season.

This alone justifies the Isiah hysteria.
If Walsh is livid about it and actually considered resigning, Knicks fans have every right to be concerned.
He's Long, Lean, Unlimited
"So as a rookie, having heard that he was too skinny to compete in the paint with the NBA's resident bruisers, he began the long process of bulking up. The following offseason, he was determined to become a better ballhandler. This summer, he has worked on his face-up game. He also has tried to develop right- and left-handed hook shots, which, considering his pterodactyl-like wingspan, could become unblockable if he develops any sort of consistency."
Dedication and desire to improve? Hell yes.
Neyer's top 100 players of the decade
These things are silly but fun. Voltron and Johan star, and that guy with no power/leadership and that unfocused smiley guy make cameos. Some other ex-Mets sprinkled in too.
