Lets try something new.
Okay I'm not gonna lie I suck at writing, but I wanted to try something new. We have already had more than few debates about the WRs in the draft, so how about we try having a thread about the OLBs in the draft? I don't know much about them so this is will help me get a feel about them. So far I've heard about Whitney Mercilus and I like what I hear, but what about Nick Perry, Bruce Irvin, and others? So lets try something new and talk about other prospects.

Sanu love
Mocking the draft does a player profile on Sanu.
Top 5 teams that can stop NE from hoisting the Lombardi trophy.
5. Houston Texans Houston has had the offense in place to get to the playoffs for the past few years since Matt Schaub has stayed healthy. The main question in Houston was the Texans defense. Houston finally has a defense that can get them to the playoffs. Can this Texans defense help Houston win in the playoffs? Houston switched to the 3-4, moved Mario Williams to the 3-4 right outside linebacker role, and obtained Jonathan Joseph in free agency. Joseph is a premium #1 shutdown corner who can take away part of the field. Joseph is not in the same league as Revis, but Joseph is a premium shut down corner.

Phillips says Texans should be active in Free agency.
"From what I know and what we've talked about (internally), I think we'll be active in free agency, especially as far as the secondary (goes)," Phillips told me during a recent interview on SiriusXM NFL Radio. "But there may be other priorities, maybe even offensive priorities."
Texans Don't draft for need?
Does this mean if Julio Jones is there we'll take him?
Stephen Paea NFL Draft scouting report

Recruits still high on Texas
"My commitment is done. I am stuck on Texas," said Josh Turner, a four-star athlete from Oklahoma City (Okla.) Millwood. "It's a great opportunity for Coach Muschamp. Texas is a great program and we will be fine. I traded some text with some of the other guys [commitments] and they all feel the exact same way I do."
Randy Shannon emerging as strong DC candidate at Texas
I don't know if this has been put up already, but here it is.
HOF Darrell Green talks about Kareem
"I don't think I started to get it down until after the eighth game of the season. That's where it's probably going to happen for Kareem. If he is what they think he is, the guy they spent a first-round pick on, keep watching. In games nine, 10 and 11, it'll happen.

Texans players talk about helmet to helmet hits
"I really don’t care about that [the potential of increased enforcement]. My biggest thing is to get the guy on the ground, get the guy on the ground." - Bernard Pollard
"We've got to regroup. This team (Raiders) poses matchup problems for us." -Kubiak on Raiders, who rank No. 3 in NFL in total defense.
NFL.com proves that anyone can be an "Expert"
"Williams has developed into a dominant force off the edge after being the Texans' surprising selection with the top-overall pick in the 2007 NFL Draft."
Sharpton could start for Cush, maybe even push Diles
On if Sharpton is in the running to become a starter this season:
"There’s no doubt. He’s made statements since he’s been out here in camp. Obviously, the other night he did it again."

Texans Release Unofficial Depth Chart
Studdard is starting. Let the weeping begin.
Off Topic but Hurricane Alex
I Live in Deep south Texas so Hurricane Alex's effects will be felt and are being felt. already we have tornadoes flooding and some wind damage. This really sucks the Valley isn't really prepared for hurricanes because we've never really had one until Dolly which really showed us how bad it can get down here. I can only hope Alex isn't as bad as dolly i dont know how much my old house cant take and we cant afford to lose power
Derrick Morgan arrested
lol when it rains it pours
Arkansas to Big 12?
I don't know if its in a fan post or something but here it is.
Who is the Most Intimidating Player on the Texans Defense
Saw this on HoustonTexans.com and I have nothing better to do so I thought I'd ask the question here. Who is the Most intimidating Texan on defense i picked Mario, Something about a 6'6 290 DE coming at me makes me Crap my pants. They had Pollard, Ryans, and Cushing on the Poll but i went with Mario. Since there is nothing better to do what do you guys think? Also they had Okoye and Antonio Smith, but i thought they just added them for fun or somthing.
Andre will report to camp
New deal is possible
Ben Tate Injured
News and Notes from OTAs
What to do with Glover Quin
Well we drafted Kareem Jackson & Sherrick McManis but not a FS. We know why the team drafted Kareem and they have said that Sherrick will stay at CB, so where does that leave GQ. Well some think Kareem was a shut down corner and teams didn't throw his way last year and Frank Bush thinks Sherrick can become a Shut down Corner too. There's been talk around here that Glover Quin will move to FS. So my question to you BRB is Realistically Do you think the Texans will move GQ to FS or keep him at CB. GQ to FS in 2010?
Sherrick McManis isnt going to play FS
Saw this and was disappointed. second question
Giving you some mock draft Help for Houston
NO to Mathews and No To Mays that's all. we Houston fans are tired of people thinking that "we just cant pass on Mathews". Truth is we can and we should CB is our biggest need in my opinion and if Kyle Wilson or Devin McCourty are there take them. As For Taylor Mays we need a FS not SS the guy cant catch a ball to save his life and we already got a big hitting safety in Pollard. Ben Tate in the Second is ok but Ryan in the First isnt and if you pick him you should be banned from mock drafting. Signed Joe25
Im calling it now Lamarr Houston in the second
Assume we don't take Dan Williams in the first ok. If Lamarr is there in the second i think we will take him. Now I think we will take either Kyle Wilson or Devin McCourty i just don't see us passing on one of them for Ryan Mathews and i doubt that both will be gone by the time we pick in the first. Plus Lamarr seems to fit what we(by we i mean Kollar and Bush) want at DT hes 6'3 300lb and found in tehGrindCrusher's recant post he fits what they are looking for. So go ahead and call me a homer but i think he a Texan if hes there in the second. But what do i know im just young Texan fan
LeGarrette Blount?
Well i've been thining what if we dont get Hardesty or Ben Tate, I wouldnt mind us getting Blount. I mean is a big back who can punch it in and I dont really care that he punched someone in the face, in fact i like that. Hey he could break Bob Sanders with one hit which i really like. But i dont know if he will fit the ZBS so what do you guys think ?
What if we Traded down to the 30th pick
and got Ryan Mathews? for the record i dont really like the idea of RB in the first, but almost everybody in the Texans organization has said that RB is a "high priority" and might as well be our first pick. the vikes could use a DT, one half of the williams wall might retire and might need to groom a new DT, so price could be their guy and we can get Mathews. (again im not really a big fan RB in round one)
CB in the first round?
How do you feel about us drafting a CB in the first round i think that and safety is our biggest needs, so i've been look around who would be a worth a look come april. After the senior bowl kyle wilson and kareem jackson along with Joe haden are now in the top 32 on espn.com i think we should look at them, but do you?......i really dont like NT in the frist round i believe that our poor secondry is the reason for a poor pass rush.
