Hi, Joe,

Thanks so much for your most generous of offers. I called the ADA Coordinator at The Meadowlands and asked him about tickets, and if we should be looking for specific ones.

He informed that it is common practice at The Meadowlands to send two tickets to any physically challenged guests, free of charge, so that they can enjoy the game with the best possible view. So he is sending me two handicap accessible seats free of charge.

I appreciate your gesture, it is has reminded me that there are truly kind hearted people left in this world. Your generosity and selflessness will not be forgotten, it has spoken to me, and rejuvenated me in a way. As a result of obtaining the free tickets, I do not want you to buy any additional tickets for me. Just know that the offer resinates with me as a reminder of good in the world.

I am still planning on writing some news outlets to let them know of your generosity and humanitarian efforts. I will copy you on those emails.

Thanks again Joe, and enjoy the season!

Justin

here is his post on BBi about it

http://corner.bigblueinteractive.com/index.php?mode=2&thread=356254

Well, without us having to pay any money we got him two tickets and I'm happy as hell for him. However, we can do one of two things

a) Buy him some nice Giants merchandise with the money we raised

or

b) Just return everyone's money. I am fine with doing both and at this point I would have to invest 100 dollars as i said I would match the highest contributor. It is up to you guys and hopefully our story gets covered somewhere.

The reason why Kolb might be better suited for this offense.

Is because he's your prototypical west coast quarterback.

What's interesting is that McNabb has had some good success in this system without having the intangibles for a WC offense. A lot of these short throws are like runs - - made to get 4-6 yards and maybe more if the WR is good at YAC. A good WC QB should be able to complete around 60-62% of his passes in order for it to work well. McNabb is too inacurate on his short throws to consistently make that work. How many short throws did McNabb throw over the RB/WRs head/behind him last night? I counted at least 3.

Secondly, a good WC QB should be able to get rid of the ball quickly. While I think McNabb has gotten better with this he still tends to hold onto the ball too long trying to make a play happen when it's not there. Sometimes it works, but other times it results in a turnover or sack. For instance, the TD to Celek last night and his beauty of a -1 yard rush that he should've just thrown away.

Lastly, a good WC QB needs to be able to lead WRs and put a nice touch on the ball. The whole idea is to get the ball out quickly to a WR and let them make a play. Even when McNabb throws catchable balls often our WRs/TE have to stop dead in their tracks to catch the ball going behind them, or pick it up down low.

What used to make McNabb so good was his ability to use his feet. Now he doesn't even use his feet and I really don't think he could that effectively anymore anyway.

With that being said, I think Kolb has shown some flashes that he CAN do this. A few more inconsistent games from McNabb, and it's time to pass the torch.

Most over rated offense ever

This should be the most interesting poll ever on here..

Who was the biggest goat on offense?

a) Maclin for causing a TO which led to 7 points

b) McNabb for being inconsistent yet again.

c) Marty for not calling in more run plays

d) Moise for stupid penalties

e) Andy Reid for not calling enough run plays (This choice is for the dummies who still thinks he calls all the plays still).

This offense is so over rated. I got killed for being negative stating the Giants D was just THAT bad more than the Eagles O was that good. This offense was talked up like it was the Saints offense or the Pats offense of 07. Tired of inconsistent play.

Hi, Joe:

Thanks again for your most generous of offers. I checked the date, and it turns out I will be able to attend, so I would love to take you up on your offer.

As far as handicap accessibility, I called The Meadowlands, and they said that they are able to accomodate a wheelchair and companion with any two seats by giving them accessible seats on game day. This should make it easier for you, as I should be able to take any two tickets that you would be able to purchase.

I read the thread over at Bleeding Green Nation, and I am quite touched at the generosity of the people over there. I read comments from several individuals expressing an interest in showing the world the way real Eagles Fans behave, and overcoming any reputation or stereotypes that may exist. I think this is a great idea / goal, and to that end, I would be more than willing to contact media outlets with our story, including Philadelphia newspapers, and ESPN personalities like Rick Reilly, Matt Mosley, Bill Simmons, and Mike & Mike, as I think they would all enjoy this story about rival fans overcoming their rooting differences for the greater good. Would this be ok with you? Let me know.

my paypal is joedubyk@gmail.com... I will be purchasing them soon. A lot of you bitch about our rep in the media. Here's your chance for redemption as I told him it's OK to go to the media. The top contributor will win a juicy date with Eagles grl ( she told me she puts out after a long island iced tea fellas).

Was on BBI a Giants board.

So, if anyone reads my other thread, I was at the game with two friends who are Eagles Fans. We had to park out at citizens bank b/c the Linc was full. I was wearing a Giants coat. I've been there 3 other times in Giants garb with no problems.

I use a wheelchair. I've had mild cerebral palsy since birth. It is what it is. I've never been so offended in my life as I was leaving the parking lot yesterday.

Two separate guys told me I was lucky I was in a wheelchair cuz if I wasn't, they would put me in one (Philly fans are original)

One guy told me, that I was in a wheelchair because God hated me because I was a giants fan. (He smelled like weed)

One guy told me, I got f*cked twice when I woke up in the morning, once for being in the wheelchair, and once for being a Giants fan.

We didn't know what to do, so we just laughed it off, and told them to get a life, but that just agitated them more.

It was so bad, the guy in front of us turned around and told us he hoped we knew all Eagles fans weren't like that.

i hope the yanks frigen kill them in the world series, and I don't even mind the phils...

Next game, I'm bringing a nondescript coat to put over my jersey...

Be thankful your a Giants fan today, and always act with class..

I know we try and say "every fan has our bad apples," but we truly have an over abundance of classless fans. I have no problem with being a rowdy bunch, but stuff like this is totally inexcusable!!

My official apology

Just kidding....

McNabb and co. played very well today. The run blocking was much improved, the Giants got after the QB here and there, but the biggest difference was McNabb made some decent throws when he had to. He even lead some revievers on a couple of throws. Hopefully, we can keep that consistency against other teams... Especially teams with better defenses.

As much as I loved this win, I can't help but think the Giants played some really bad football. Diguisting tackling, blown coverages, and horrible throws by Eli. Point is, I don't think the elite teams like New Orleans are going to afford us so many gifts and opportunities.

Eiter way, this was a MUST win and I'm freaking glad we pulled through. I hate the Giants more than any other team and I was really excited pre-game. Great to see a win. Now excuse me while I wait for kingmcnabb5's much anticipated post game write-up.

Two teams who are struggling in certain areas and both fighting for a top spot in the NFC E. This game could turn out to be pivotal down the stretch.

Eagles

a) Awesome young talent at the skill posistions

b) Solid defensively aside from covering TEs

Our Weaknesses

a)Shoddy O-line play

b)Shoddy play from McNabb

Only got a chance to catch 2 G-men games this year and so far I gathered:

-Eli is struggling with the high throws

-Jacobs is off to a slow start

-Young WRs are playing well

-O-line play is good

-D-line not playing up to it's accustomed standards.

-Secondary is weak.

What else am I missing here?

According to ESPN

DeSean Jackson on MNF

Plays: 5

Yards: 136

TDs: 2

Yards Per Play: 27.2

All the other Eagles on MNF

Plays 51

Yards: 125

Yards per play: 2.7

TDs: 0

Couple that with the fact we scored 0 TDs against you know who. Obviously this offense is in limbo right now.

I see a couple problems here:

a) If we don't get a big play -- then what? It seems like we've been having this problem since 2005. Even when we have a game when we have 1-3 explosive TDs, the constant lack luster drives gives teams plenty of time to come back and score. I have a sneaking suspicion teams are going to be hawking Jackson from now on. No way do other teams let this kid fly down the field without an extra set of eyes on him.

b) For now this offensive line is going to be mediocre. At least until they can get some continunity they are going to continue to struggle here and there. I loved the Peters trade but so far it's the Eagles who are getting the raw end of the deal. He's getting worked at least a couple of plays each game. For a 1st and a 4th + a big contract he's playing quite awful.

c) Because of the offensive line woes, the running game can't get going. We got plenty of talent to carry the rock. I think our Wild cat (which averages the 2nd most yards per play behind Miami) has great potential to pick up 4-8 yards every play. But if we can't get a good push consider our run game won't due much in terms of getting favorable 2nd and 3rd n shorts.

d) Another fact of life when McNabb gets pressured he gets happy feet and starts throwing the rock into the ground. Couple that with the fact he's just not seeing the field right now very well. The last two weeks hes not seeing open WRs or he's missing them. In the first half alone I counted 3 plays where McNabb missed an open WR for the first down really bad. Granted he's not being a great offensive line, but he's not doing anything to help.

What scares me against the Giants

I see these guys pinning their ears back knowing full well that we're having problems protecting and McNabb is having problems throwing. They have the defensive unit to put constant pressure on McNabb and know full well he'll struggle if they get there. If we play anything like we have the past two weeks on offense pencil this a loss. Sitting at 4-3 in the NFC right now is a bad thing and sitting at 4-3 in the NFC E isn't great either.

No way we win if we have an offensive performance like that against NY

A) We really need to do something with our offensive line. Pass protection is mediocre at best, and our run blocking is just as bad. We wanted more runs, we got more runs, but not much more success.

B) You heard me say it 100 times but McNabb is absolutely awful right now. How many 3rd down plays did he down right skip a ball to an open WR? In the first half I counted 3 -- one to Celek, one to Maclin, and one to Jackson. All three times they were open for the first down.

The Good

A) DeSean Jackson

B) The pick up of Will WItherspoon

C) The big play ability. I love how we have guys who can make a 30-40+ yard play at any moment.

But seriously, this offensive unit needs to get better or we're in for a 8-8, 9-7 season.

You know how we kept saying we won't know what we're made of until we play a real team? Well we just lost to the worst team in the league.. Badly.

- A mediocre offensive line at best.

-One of the weakest LB corps I've seen in a long time.

-A defensive unit that can't stop the run (probably due to LB play).

And worst yet... A really inconsistent, whiny, quarterback.

Hear me out on McNabb. He's always super inconsistent. Even in the championship game when he had 3 quarters of good play that 1st quarter of horrible play left a LOT of points on the board. Not to mention the other CG and SB that he played horribly in (3 or 4 turnovers in the SB).

Oh, his inability to lead a WR on a simple slant, his over thrown balls, his balls thrown behind open WRs just boils my skin. Even when he did have time today WRs were getting open and he threw some of the worst balls I've ever seen. I'm sorry, he's not a GREAT Qb... Good, sure, great, no and I don't feel confident about him leading our offense, especially a WC one.
