I was thinking about playoff seeding when I realized that our division (Northwest) is the strongest division to be playing in. Of the 5 teams 4 are probably playoff bound, Denver, Utah, Portland, OKC. Standings by division show that only the SE division can boast the same, but only 2 of the 4 teams are above .500

Since each team plays more games within their divisions does this mean that the NW division contenders inherently have a tougher schedule? And since your Nuggets reign supreme over the toughest division, are they the league's best? My opinion is yes. The losses the Nuggets have incurred have mostly come at the hands of hungry bottom feeders and the Nuggets playing down to their paltry level. The Nuggets also boast more wins over playoff calibre teams than any other club.

No joking around on this one. I've noticed for a while that he shoots way better from way behind the arch. And his free throws seem more consistant when he steps back from the foul line. And after his celebration over a missed shot, the wheels really got to moving in my head. I was the same way (just nowhere near as talented) before I got my eyes checked and got my corrective lenses. I had no idea how blind I was until I could actually see clearly.

I don't know how extensive the physicals are that the players get or if an eye exam is standard at the begining of training camp. All I can say for sure is that my astigmatism played with my eyesight alot, i.e. sometimes blury sometimes not. If anyone knows one way or another if JR wears contacts during the games or regularly or how strict the NBA physical exam is please leave a comment. If nothing else it will help us figure out why JR's shot is clear then blurry.

A quick read about Afflalo with quotes from Chauncey and Karl. If this guy's work ethic in camp is matched during the regular season we could be in for a pleasant surprise. Apparently the guy can score. I thought he'd just be in for defensive purposes. I guess we still have to wait to find out. The link below is from the Denver Post Online

Will Odom's marriage into a disfuntional family help or hurt the Lakers, thus helping or hurting the Nuggets season? There's no mistaking that Kobe was the Nuggets undoing last season, as he is still the best in the game right now. But I think that without Odom causing mismatch problems for us,(and swiping inbounds passes) the Nuggets could've pushed a game 7, or maybe more. If he somehow gets himelf into a cancerous relationship with a celeb-utant will it adversly affect his on-court game, or will he chanel his frustration into crushing the hopes and dreams of every team he faces? What do you think?

Melo's pretty funny I think. His style is also much more presentable than ealier last season. Also it looks like skinny Melo will be around for the season opener, which is a big relief. Does anybody know if Nene has stayed in shape this off season?

It's a shame I've made up my mind to hate CP3, because I think he may be a nice guy.

Finally a decent piece of writing about one of our favorites...Mr. JR Swish. His dad even comments about how he didn't raise his family in the "streets". Truth is JR grew up in a nice suburban area. Albeit in Jersey, all things considered JR is not a product of his environment. I didn't know he was on 23 hour lockdown either.
