Would you trade d'Arnaud, Gose and Drabek for Halladay?
Considering that we are a pitcher and a bat away from making a serious run at the post season. Would you now trade back for Halladay offering d'Arnaud, Gose and Drabek?
It is an intriguing thought. Realistically, the Phillies are not selling Halladay, but it does make one ponder. I don't think I would make the trade when you consider the age and price differences. But it would sure make a public statement. Who knows, maybe the Phillies would actually make the trade considering d'Arnaud is almost ready and Gose is only a year a way.
International Free Agents?
Around this time last year we lost the bid for Chapman. We then were successful getting Hechavarria sometime in April. However, there hasn't been much buzz about IFA's this year. I have looked everywhere and I can't find any buzz with exception to a Japanese bid. I was hoping the Jays would be in on another big IFA this year considering they have not spent much money yet, but it doesn't look like there is a crop available. Is there anyone out there?
Where will the new Triple A affiliate be next year?
Now that the trade deadline is over, there isn't much to talk about for the remainder of the year other than the waiver period and draft signing deadline. Has anybody heard any rumors about where our new Triple A affiliate will be next year? I was under the impression that Vegas was a two year deal? I have heard rumors about Edmonton, but that isn't necessarily feasible. What are the chances of Canada getting this team? I would love to see the team in London or Hamilton. I miss the good old days of the London Tigers.

Trade: Jays acquire Jacobs
Not much to say here, other than the Jays acquired Mike Jacobs (29 years old) from the Mets for a player to be named. He is batting .260 in AAA right now with 15 homers. Looks like a guy to fill in for Wallace in Vegas right now as Dopirak is injured. Maybe the Jays are moving Overbay soon and just getting ready. I didn't think AA had time for these little trades. Anyone know who we gave up?
Lewis Must Go!
I have been a big fan of Lewis all season. I love lead-off hitters with a decent average and a little pop in their bat even if their OBP is a little low. But I am feeling his time in Toronto must come to an end. Snider has always been our superstud prospect and I do not understand why Lewis should prevent Snider from playing. Now that we have Escobar, we essentially have a guy that can lead-off for the remainder of the year. I feel it is time to cash in on Lewis and get what you can for him. He has been great, but Snider comes first.
