 the lions played well tonight i have some thoughts on the game...and a litte fox sports slip up

Whether we all want to believe it or not im sure most of us held our breath when we saw Stafford hobble off the field late in the 1st half. Thank God it was just a cramp from it being so hot out. You also have to get slightly irritated with Grew, i mean that  boy needs to invest in some old time stickum. Hes reliable until we reach the redzone then in my wifes words. " He gets Scared" and gets the case of the dropsies. Oh well im sure it will get better with time. Megatron was good as advertised, and we had some fumble issues but once again i think thats part of the first game knocking the rust off. Further more what was the deal with the O-line penalties?! The 2 against Petermen and Cherilus where so uncalled for and need to get corrected ASAP because that could have very well cost us the game and the momentum winning the opener can give us. 

So finally i had recorded the game as i was at work for most of it, when i played the game back after the 2nd or 3rd commercial break the commentators for fox's mic picked up him talking and said " Yea its a Burbon on the rocks thanks" so since when are the Commentators getting tipsy during broadcasts these days?! 

On a side note would anyone consider Trading Drew Stanton or Shaun Hill to the colts for a future draft pick since they are in need of a decent QB to get through the season?

Ok so i need your guys help. I remember reading on a post awhile back for the redskins game, for a website that actually streams the game. I cant remeber the name and im obviously in the blackout area, but on this website it was peerfect i just hooked the cord up to the computer and the tv and watched it like a regular game. I think it was justin.tv but the site looks different from before and i cant find the old post. So if anyone could shoot me a reliable web site let me know!

I listen to 97.1 the ticket pretty often and some of the callers are say how good it would be to pick up Foote, which im totally for and would make mayhew look alot smart then he truly is IMO, but more and more people are suggesting that Shaun Rogers may return to detroit, i was just wondering everyones input on this, is there any truth to it? Im thinkin there isnt because Rogers and Eric Mangini have seemed to mend things and he will probably be a brown next season.

Ok well ive got a question for everyone here on POD. I was a Stafford supporter, please dont shoot... and i could have handled the Pettigrew pick IF Rey Ma was picked with our 2nd round, but we passed on rey and james TWICE. but you also have to look at it and ask your self why did every other team pass on him? i really dont care that he misses tackles at times, he would be the focal point of a LB corp that would have been feared in the north. but anyway i dont know about the rest of you but i dont agree with this whole draft for talent situation. In a perfect draft day we would have Stafford, Pettigrew, Delmas, and then traded back into second round and grab rey. or we could have traded with KC and grabbed Curry but that contract would be just slightley less outrageous than Staffords and we would have 100 million dollars plus wrapped up in 2 players, anyway to the point of this post, Who is the lions sapposed to grab in free agency to play the middle? I really dont know where to even begin to look to see possible free agent MLB that our team would consider TALENTED enough to go after because that seems to be there motto latley. I thought we could have grabbed Ellerbie from georgia in the later rounds but apparently we thought ANOTHER tight end was the right choice. So please leave your comments on suggestions that the lions would get in free agency this off season, especially on the DEFENSIVE side of the ball
