I've been a Warrior fan since the RUN TMC days and a die-hard fan since Webber was here (the first time around of course).

I made a t-shirt for all of the old school Warriors fans out there.

To see my RUN TMC tee, type the words "RUN TMC" in craigslist or Ebay.

Thanks!

Golden State Of Mind Steph Curry ranked #6

I'm sure, like many other GSOM'ers, you might be participating in some form of a fantasy basketball league for the upcoming basketball season. Well I recently joined a Yahoo! league and was very surprised when I saw who was ranked at #6 in the pre-draft player rankings. It's none other than Warriors' own Stephen Curry! I was juiced to see a Warrior getting some national love and ranked that high but it made me think... does he really deserve to be that high? Can really put numbers like that? And If I end up with the 6th pick in this league, would I even pick Steph? (Probably, but only because it makes Dubs games that much more exciting when you have a Warrior on your fantasy team)

I'd like to know what everyone thinks about him being ranked that high. Warriors bias aside, does he really deserve to be ranked at the #6 spot? I'm curious to get other fans' perspective. Plus I've got moolah on the line so just in case I do land that 6th pick, I'll be able to make the right decision!

Golden State Of Mind Change the Warriors jerseys and the team name.

I’ve been thinking about this for a long long time now, 10 years even, and thanks to the good people at Golden State of Mind, I have a platform to share this opinion and receive feedback on it.

When most of us see throwback jerseys, whether it’s “The City” jerseys, the RUN-TMC era jerseys (my favorite), or even the “Golden State” hardwood classics they sported a few times this year, I think we all feel a little bit of nostalgia. I get that feeling I got when I was still collecting Latrell Sprewell basketball cards or when Safeway used to give out those free Warriors basketball cards back in the day - who remembers that?!? But from the moment I saw the new logo and colors back in 1997, I simply wore the thizz face and was very disappointed. The navy and orange just didn’t tickle my pickle nor float my boat. It looked too different from the colors I grew to love. Now I’ve heard only one time a couple of years ago on KNBR that the Dubs were looking in on changing the jerseys again. Anyone have info on that? All I am hoping for is that it has a touch of the original royal blue and yellow colors that I loved so much.

Another idea I had, which I probably will get a lot of disagreement with, is to change the name from the “Golden State Warriors” to the “Bay Area Warriors.” I know Golden State is a name that we’re accustomed to but I just think the Bay Area is much more suitable. We’re not a California team right? We’re a basketball team that represents the Bay Area thus The Bay Area Warriors. I hope Mully reads this because the Warriors organization would make a lot more money from merchandising if the apparel said Bay Area on it. Is anyone with me on either of these ideas or am I just goin Artest (crazy)?
