Silver Screen and Roll New CBA/Age limit/NBDL

So I've been thinking about the current age limit and the ridiculousness of 2nd round picks that probably won't pan out, but the teams have to make the picks anyways. I happened to run across an article by Tim Donahue about the new CBA that addressed both of these issues tangentially, but didn't really overtly connect them, so I'm going to do that below after the jump.

The Busby Babe Three things I want to see as a Man U fan

There are many things I want to see as a Manchester United fan - besides a view of the game from the Old Trafford stands at some point in my life - and so here are my top 3 wishes.

  1.  A healthy Hargreaves - As a British-Canadian myself, I was pretty stoked when United got him from Bayern, and I've been equally choked to see him be out with an assortment of injuries ever since. (I was going to go with chuffed and miffed - respectively - but those words didn't really do justice to the level of emotional connection I feel with Hargreaves' future at this club)

  2. Gabriel Obertan - This kid excites me to no end. I really want him to succeed, and I want him to succeed at United. He's yet to prove himself over any period of time for us (I believe he's currently out with an injury) but the lad has oodles of talent and he really impressed in our 3-1 victory over Wolfsburg this year.

Everyone has their favourite young player at United that makes watching the early rounds of the League Cup worthwhile, be that Macheda or Anderson or either of the Brazilian twins - all good choices by the way -, but for me, it has to be Obertan.

Anderson is a close second though.

  3. The art of crossing the ball - I was recently turned on to this video of Beckham's crosses over the years, and the fact that nobody at United currently even sniffs that level of brilliance is truly disappointing. I sincerely hope that at least one of Nani, Obertan, and Valencia improve in this area, as Rooney's intelligent running would be rewarded that much more by even semi-decent service into the box.

*as an aside, the best assist I ever saw Beckham get was on, at least what I remember to be, his Real Madrid debut against Tokyo Verdy for a Ronaldo goal. there was enough pace on the ball to allow Ronaldo to get away from his defenders, but instead of skipping away from Ronaldo once it hit the pitch, the ball slowed down, allowing Ronaldo to catch up to the ball and easily control/score the ball. it was the second coolest soccer move I've ever seen from the stands.

    **
this goal, by Zidane, comes in first, and let me tell you, it looked even better from the stands.

So there it is, three things I'd really like to see happen for United.

Of course there's the nitpicky stuff, like wanting Rooney to break all the Manchester United scoring records and a goalkeeper to replace EVDS but these three things would make me the most happy.

That, and knocking Liverpool of it's delicate perch.

What are your top three United wishes?
