As first reported by Ryan Aber of The Oklahoman, Oklahoma baseball pitching coach Jack Giese will not be returning to the program for the 2014 season. Head coach Pete Hughes released a statement...

OU Football Announces 2014 Schedule

Tuesday afternoon the OU Football program officially released their schedule for the 2014 season.  If you'll recall, we brought you the news of them finalizing the non-conference portion of that...

Eric Striker: Pass Rusher Extraordinaire

Two and a half sacks so far this season for Oklahoma linebacker Eric Striker seems unusually slow for a player that has spent as much time harassing quarterbacks as the OU sophomore has. His 6'0"...

Bob Stoops Weekly Presser

I feel like this hasn't been the case in years past, but coming off a bye week Bob Stoops will still hold his weekly meeting with the media on Monday. It could be a short and sweet one with not...

Sooners In The NFL | Week Nine

Not the most active of weeks for our former Sooners with a number of them on their bye week.  No surprise that Adrian Peterson leads the way this week in terms of top performers with a big game...

OU vs. TTU | Film Study

Arguably the best game Oklahoma has played all season should provide for a number of interesting things to keep an eye on.  I know some would argue that Notre Dame was OU's best game, but the...

2013-14 OU Women's B-Ball Preview

Coming off another Sweet Sixteen appearance in last year's NCAA Tournament, the Oklahoma Sooners return four starter to this year's squad, including the Big 12's leading returning scorer in senior...

Baylor Going Tarp-less For OU Game

OU Wrestling Picks Up Commitments From Edmond North Triplets

Oklahoma wrestling pulled a somewhat surprising commitment from Edmond North's Dixon triplets (Andrew, Joel, & Lance) who were believed to be favoring either traditional powers Oklahoma State and Iowa. Each won individual 6A state titles this past year while leading Edmond North to a team title as well. Big pickup(s) for Mark Cody & OU Wrestling.

Bob Stoops Weekly Presser

Bob Stoops will hold his weekly press conference once again where he'll talk about OU's performance against Texas Tech and how the Sooners will approach their bye week with a big game against...

Baylor Opens As A Twelve Point Favorite Over Oklahoma

Based on the linked tweet from Todd Fuhrman, the Las Vegas Superbook has opened their line for next Thursday's OU vs. Baylor game with the Bears as a twelve point favorite. I doubt anyone would disagree that Baylor deserves to be the favorite, and honestly I expect that line to go up with the early money coming in on BU, but as an OU fan the idea of a number that big seems crazy. Will be really interesting to keep an eye on it over the next week and a half to see how much, if at all, it moves and of course where it settles one kickoff arrives.

Sooners In The NFL | Week Eight

This week's NFL action for former Sooners was highlighted by Kenny Stills' career game and unfortunately the lowlight of yet another season ending injury to Ryan Broyles. Frank Alexander (Panthers)...

Big Plays, Long Drives Do In Texas Tech

Blake Bell and the Oklahoma offense did not get off to the quick start Saturday night many in Sooner Nation had hoped to see, but after a slow first quarter they were a model of efficiency and...

Trey Millard Suffers Torn ACL

Torn ACL for Trey Millard. Very sorry to hear that news for such a good young man. #Sooners — Kenny Mossman (@Kenny_Mossman) October 27, 2013 Worst possible news for OU senior...

Wreck'd Tech Celebration Thread

What a game. Back-and-forth all night long and fortunately the good guys came out ahead, but credit to Tech for a heck of a football game. Obviously the big concern for OU coming out of the game,...

Kruger Lands Commit From 2014 6'9" Power Forward

Texas Tech Scattershot

We'll have plenty more Texas Tech preview posts as the week continues and I'd highly encourage you to visit Viva The Matadors who, in my opinion, do as good a job as any blog in the SB Nation...

Bob Stoops Weekly Presser (TTU/KU)

It's Monday which means Bob speaks and we listen. We hope to get an update on the status of Julian Wilson and/or Adam Shead, both of whom were injured during the Kansas game and never returned to...

OU vs. KU | Film Study

What a bizarre football game. Two blocked punts, three missed extra points, one of which returned for two points, a safety, and really just some good old fashioned bad football. So won't this...

Sooners In The NFL | Week Seven

Between injuries and bye weeks, Week Seven was not the most active for our former Sooners.  And by far the worst news coming out of Sunday is Sam Bradford's reportedly torn ACL that will cost him...

Flawed But Effective (Eventually)

Yes, sixteen yards passing allowed is a defensive statistic Mike Stoops will likely be more than happy to hang his hat on for quite some time. But it was against Kansas, so how much of an...

Blake Bell/Josh Heupel Conspiracy Theory Alert

Just to be perfectly clear, this is titled 'Conspiracy Theory Alert' for a reason. One, because at best it's a theory. Two, because it's not something I have any actual facts on. Just something...

OU Defensive Tackle Out For The Season

During his regular Monday meeting with the media, Bob Stoops announced that Oklahoma defensive tackle Jordan Phillips would be forced to miss the remainder of this season due to a back issue. ...

Bob Stoops Weekly Presser (TX/KU)

This could get interesting. Not from the standpoint of those in attendance (1) asking the tough questions that need to be asked following the embarrassing performance on Saturday and/or (2) those...

Sooners In The NFL | Week Six

Week six in the NFL wasn't necessarily a productive one for our former Sooners, but several had solid outings. Including Sam Bradford who got his Rams to 3-3 on the season with an incredibly...
