2006 was Barry Zito (FA)
2005 was Duchscherer (injured).
Assuming there will be at least one in 2008, vote for your #1 guess.  New guys with a hot 1st half, even if it is Daric Barton, probably should not get in, particularly at such an easy-to-fill position (admit it, were you hoping for Gaudin in 2007?), but if he is at .344/18/58 at the break and nobody else stands out, maybe he gets the nod.
So who do you think?  Chavez with good health?  Harden with a miracle cure?  Mark Ellis because there are fewer superstars at the position with name recognition?
