Joe has been a blogger for over fifteen years. Starting back in 1994 he and his best friend formed a website Techography.com.His friend obviously had no clue what he was doing by giving Joe a keyboard because its been down hill ever since. In 2009 he branched off in to his own website Registered Evil.

Joel and Will have suffered his antics at Rocky Top Talk since 2008, for which Joe is extremely appreciative of. One day he intends to buy them cold adult beverages at a undisclosed location in Knoxville.

Joe has a degree in Business, a Bachelors in Management, and is currently perusing his Masters in Project Management at Missouri State University while studying for his PMP. He has attended college at North Metro Technical Institute, University of Tennessee, University of Phoenix, and (currently) Missouri State University.

He served in the United States Army for almost 10 years before being honorably discharged, a tradition that as a first generation America (his family is from Ireland) he chose to continue.

He currently works as an IT Project Manager for a Fortune 500 retail company, does volunteer work for Storm Prediction Center in the Midwest and contributes to Rocky Top Talk in his spare time.

Lauren Avant calls it quits

Lady Vol Lauren Avant, who drew national attention by declaring for Tennessee at 14 and once featured in Sports Illustrated, is leaving the team due to injuries

C. Kelley Cain calls it done

Long time Lady Vols fans may recall that Cain has done her best to come back from Knee surgery. Unfortunately it appears the injury may have gotten the better of her. Cain's surgeries have included a Patella subluxation, removed screws from her knee. She also has suffered extensively from hip, back & knee injuries. She ranks number 3 in Lady Vols history for blocked shots with over 220 blocks

Cuonzo Martin Out! Dave Bliss hired as UT basketball Coach!

Bliss was quoted as saying," This is the best thing that ever happened to me." Mike Hamilton was seen shortly after the announcement fleeing to his car while hiding his face. It is said he left a blank check on his desk made out "To Whom It May Concern: Anyone with the NCAA". Martin could not be reached for comment.

These are the Vols of our Lives

Stewart Mandel predicts Pearls resignation, Hamiltons' Termination, Dooley's struggles for predecessors past sins and over the suffering of our entire program. Very doom and gloom stuff, but the perspective does raise a very ugly "What if?" Am not condoning any of these actions but as we know anything is truly possible in the NCAA and especially in the SEC. Since we're eating popcorn and navel gazing why not throw some thoughts on these, and other, possible avenues of endings in this "Choose Your Own Adventure"?

Swiperboy makes USA Today

At Tennessee, reserve Renaldo Woolridge is the son of Orlando, who scored more than 13,000 points in 13 NBA seasons. Renaldo has found his true calling in music and has an alter ego as hip-hop artist Swiperboy. Goes in depth on Woolridge, his family NBA ties, and some on his music career as well

Stark Contrast: The Kiffin Class

Matt Hinton puts together a withering piece regarding the much touted recruiting class of 4 and 5 star recruits at Tennessee during the previous year with a literal 'Where are they now?" The answer unfortunately (or fortunately depending on your position) is, "Not at Tennessee." While not specifically a Kiffin slam piece per se, it is a interesting discussion.

Breathe Easy, Dooley has the helm

James Bryant breaks down the reasons why we should all breathe easier while Dooley finishes our recruiting class. Free read currently at Scout.com but I'm not certain for how long- BS

Former Vols Foster, Mayo, Witten and Berry honored

Four former Tennessee Vols and a member of the Tennessee Titans were recognized for their NFL seasons by the Professional Football Writers Association.

David Oku to transfer

Tennessee tailback David Oku plans to transfer, the school announced Friday

Stop the Bleeding Already: Chaney to LSU possibly?

This has been going around on twitter most of the Day but sources are saying Jim Chaney may be going to LSU. Nothing firm at this time however, I'm seeing educated pundits argue back and forth that this is, and is not happening. Keep your ears and eyes peeled folks.

Inquiring Minds: Which VOLS staff is leaving?

Getting a lot of Twitter action that the Longhorns have secured a Vols staff member to Texas. Information still breaking [Note from Will - 2:43 PM] - Does appear that Strength & Conditioning Coach Bennie Wylie is headed back home to Texas.

Former Vols placed in Hall of Fame

Several former Tennessee athletes will be honored by the Tennessee Hall of Fame on February 11. Dickey, Abbott, Wright & Smith all to be inducted as I understand it

Summit gets Star- Sings Rocky Top

"Pat Summitt went to the podium Wednesday morning to accept the inaugural star on the new Riverwalk of Fame during a ceremony on Volunteer Landing. The longtime Tennessee women’s basketball coach had the perfect opening line for the crowd of fans, local politicians, and UT coaches who braved the near-freezing temperatures. "I know you all probably want to hear ‘Rocky Top’ but I don’t know if I have it in me right now," Summitt told the crowd. "But I would say. …" And then Summitt sang ‘Rocky Top,’ along with several fans and coaches."

Fulmer to U Conn?

Handful of sources are saying he may be heading to Connecticut

Coach Summitt getting Star on Riverwalk

Lady Vols coach Pat Summitt is getting her very own star - on the new Riverwalk of Fame, that is.

"I have a Great Job at UT"

"Vols defensive coordinator Justin Wilcox on Wednesday said what his boss told the media earlier in the week. Wilcox has not been offered a job at Texas." All rumors aside for now anyway it looks like we are keeping him

The never ending Bar Knoxville Saga continues

"Thirty-six University of Tennessee male student-athletes were treated as "VIPs" from May to July at a Cumberland Avenue bar that was brought to light after a summer brawl involving numerous football players, according to the athletic department’s self-report of a secondary violation to the NCAA." Someone queue some mood music for this. Maybe the sound track to Days of Our Lives?

Flags Down! Dooley gets a 2 week facebook penalty

Turns out Derek Dooley knows how to Facebook. The Tennessee coach even has it on his mobile phone, but has, on at least one occasion, pushed the wrong button.

More than just a Bowl Game

"Just getting to a bowl game this season was an accomplishment for Tennessee, especially when you consider that the Vols were sitting there at 2-6 coming out of October. They had to win their last four games to get to .500 and qualify for a bowl. The extra practice time is invaluable for such a young team, and the prestige of playing in the postseason isn't lost on anybody in Big Orange Country. " Worth the read, albeit short

CB Stephaun Raines dismissed from Team

For Team Rules Violation. Info still incoming

Stocker excused from Practice on Saturday

Because he's getting married. Congratulations to Luke Stocker and Daine Karst!

Saying Goodbye

Good luck Seniors, in your future endeavors. It's been a blast this season, and for we fans, you will always be a Volunteer!

Cam Newton ruled ineligible...then reinstated (Not Kidding)

Per the NCAA, Cam Newton is eligible to play immediately. Cecil Newton, on the other hand, has had his access limited to AU's program (Sure it's not Vols but c'mon its news yes?)

Montori Hughes suspended

"Montori Hughes suspended for academic reasons" He will miss the final game against Kentucky

Tyler in Command

"Tyler Bray is a laid-back kid. That's just the Californian's nature. He's always been like that, and he probably always will be to a certain extent. But something suddenly changed sometime during Saturday's 52-14 blowout win over Ole Miss. Sharply and suddenly, the University of Tennessee's tall, thin true freshman quarterback took control of his huddle. "Guys were talking about another play, and he was like, 'Hey guys, just shut up and let's get to the next play,'" Volunteers junior tailback Tauren Poole said."

Tennessee Volunteers: Nostros Loco!

Two games. Over 50 points a game. Absolutely crazy given the utter tromping we have taken from such opponents as Oregon, and Georgia just to name a few. But there is something different on the horizon.

That "Crazy" Thing

So what exactly is with that el loco maneuver in the end zone anyway?

Lincoln Glad to be Back

"Just a few weeks ago, Daniel Lincoln thought his career might have been finished before he missed his first field goal of the year. A torn quadriceps muscle - the same injury that sidelined him for Tennessee's final three games last season - reared its head again and forced him to the bench again after he'd started 2010 a perfect 7-for-7 on field goal attempts. "
