I've been a die hard Saints since 1979 and always will be till the day I die. Growing up in New Orleans it really grew on me and became an addiction. I always supported my team no matter what whether it's through good or bad times. That's the difference between a "True Fan" Vs, a Bandwagoner. I've lived in Virgina, North Carolina, and currently living in Texas. The fact remains the same...I will always bleed Black N Gold.

Drew Brees Or Tom Benson - Who Do You Blame For This?
Can this off-season get anymore frustrating? It certainly has been a downer for sure. Instead of jumping to conclusions for now, I want to ask all of your opinions on this contract situation that seems to be extremely complicated whereas it should not be. We know recently Tom Benson payed 350 million dollars to buy the Hornets. Ok, so where's the money for Drew Brees?
Something is not right here and my gut feeling is preparing for the worst and hoping for the best. And I sure hope I'm wrong! Regardless of this situation, if Brees ends up somewhere else, I will wish him the best. Regardless of what happens, I am a "Saints Fan" not a band wagoner. I will pull for my team win or lose as I've done since 1979. And that will never change!
So who do you blame for this? Is Brees playing hardball with the owner? Or is the owner playing hardball with Brees?
This whole thing is just extremely frustrating!
Former WR Chris Carter Admits Putting Bounties On Defensive Players
I'm sure that most of you read the headline today on yahoo regarding Chris Carter Put Bounties On Players. Ok so now that this new information has been brought to the table whereas he willingly admitted putting bounties on players, should he lose the right to his future HOF status? Since Sean Payton has been banned from coaching for a year and Loomis has been suspended for 8 weeks, do you think the former WR and his former coaches should pay a fine? Or do you think this will be swept under the rug since it's more Acceptable to them.
What do you think the Commissioner will do about this situation? Or better yet, will the hypocrisy of being singled out garbage continue? My guess? I bet this will be swept under the rug as much as I hate to admit it. I would like your opinions on how this should be handled.
Your thoughts? Fire away!
My Crazy NFC South Predictions-2012
What's up guys? Thought I would help escape the distractions we've been going through a bit. I'm so ready for the new season, but yet hesitant as well by getting our number one priority done...Signing Drew Brees Contract. That's the underlining circumstance right now that has made most of our nights insomniac. I want to wake up that morning and see the headlines that they finally got the deal done for him. I nervously and frantically wait day by day.
Now my predictions for the NFC South. I firmly believe it's going to be the toughest division in football next season. Actually, I have all the teams predicted above 500. And I'll explain why. I think the NFC South will be toughest division in football.
New Orleans Saints: 11-5. 2012 will be a tough test. And we will see how they respond to all this adversity from the off season. With the addition of a few defensive players and Spags, I sure hope to see an improvement. Bottom line? Gotta get the deal done for Drew Brees, period!
Carolina Panthers: 11-5. Panthers are going to be a very scary team this year. Cam Newton also scares the crap out of me. He did very well his rookie season last year. I don't see him having a sophomore slump.
Atlanta Falcons: 11-5. With the addition of new coordinators, things could get very interesting down there. With the talent they have on offense, I believe their scheme was way off balance from their previous O'coordinator Mularkey. Another scary team.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: 9-7. A very talented young team with a new head coach. You never know with the Bucs, they always give us fits. They're up on the rise and will be very dangerous as well.
I certainly hope my predictions are proven wrong about this, just my gut feeling. I would love nothing more than another 13 or 14 win season entering the number 1 seed all playoffs at home. I do know one thing, it's going to be a very very tough season.
So how do you think 2012 will pan out for us? Let's hear it!
Coming Back Stronger 2 - This Time It's PERSONAL
Well my fellow CSCers, it sure has been one crappy Spring and off season. Heck I thought the lockout was bad. This was much much worse. As of today on April 9th, "Justice Was Not Served". The only Justice that was given was banning Greg Williams, who brought us in this mess in the first place. However, the immortal wrongdoing by this Witch Hunt known as Roger Goodell, The Devil Himself, has not only unfairly punished Sean Payton and Mickey Loomis, but has unfairly tarnished and ruined our reputation by turning everyone in the league against us. Add the bloody media to the list.
I do understand a punishment should have been in order. Meaning A "Punishment That Fit's The Crime". Which in this case, did not. A 6 to 8 game suspension would have been more acceptable than a full year. I will guarantee you this! Had this been a Favorite of Goodell's. Such as Favre or Manning's team, the punishment would have been a lot more lenient. Why? Because of the "Golden Boy" image they portray. Under Goodell's opinion? The Saints do not carry that image, nor does Goodell like the Saints due to being a Small Market team, nor do they don't kiss his fat rear end. Remember after we won the SB Goodell wanted to take away the Who Dat ownership rights to the T-Shirts? Well, that pretty much says it all he never gave 2 pieces of fecal matter about the Saints organization or the city that suffered a horrible tragedy at it's best.
I urge everyone in the City of NOLA come Feb. 2013, whether the Saints are in the SB or not. (Being Optimistic We Are) When that arrogant snooty hypocrite Goodell comes to the City and expects perfect hospitality? Do your best not to go the extra mile to satisfy him. Make sure his hotel room is not up to standards. Spend less time preparing his meals or whatever. Don't give him the "Special Treatment" he thinks he's entitled too. Simple as that.
This has been a nightmare Spring guys. The only good news? It's over, and I finally woke up sweating and screaming to reality. At least this Long Nightmare is over.
How do we respond? We fight back! Simple as that. We must stay strong and fight together. Don't let this clown win. The key? We've got to get Drew Brees a deal done. Pay Da Man! Whatever coach we get this season, Parcells, Spags or whoever, I'm confident we can go a long way this season. I sure expect them to be madder than hell come fall 2012.
PS. Mr Goodell. Sean Payton has a final speech for you. You stirred up a serious hornets nest in the Who Dat Nation. Just sayin.

Sean Payton's Tenure - Best And Worst 2006 Thru
Well guys I thought I would shift the focus on something else momentarily before we hear the outcome of the appeals tomorrow. I'm hoping the Commish does the right thing by reducing Payton's suspension. However, I will not hold my breath. So for the moment, I would like to take this moment and go down memory lane and review Sean Payton's Tenure for the New Orleans Saints. As long as I'm alive, I sure don't want this Tenure to end. We can only hope it keeps going after this Bounty crap.
So anyway, I'm going to list the best to worst season's under Payton. Number 1 being the best, and number 6 being the worst. And believe me, there's very little bad times under Payton. There's way more positive than negative.
1. The 2006 season as the best. I know I know. You want me to list 2009 first I'm sure, so do I. But without 2006, we would have never gotten our SB victory. This is where it all started. From a horrific 2005 Brooks/Haslett era which finally came to end and nearly ruining our franchise. Sean Payton and Drew Brees did a complete 180 for this team. Something was missing before. "The Attitude Of Winning". Payton cleaned house and literally turned the offense into number 1...the first year. I became a believer again after our 2-0 start, when we had our first game at the Dome since Dec. 2004. The Monday night Atlanta game when the emotions went wild and the dome was rocking. The blocked punt! I will never forget that moment. The New Saints had finally arrived! And the Sunday Night Dallas game 42-17 whooping in their house was truly epic. We got to experience our first NFC Championship and fell short to the ice and snow bowl in Chicago. We were 1 game away. Regardless, it was a magical season where it all started.
The Blocked Punt
Epic Beatdown in Dallas
2. The 2009 season. Our Superbowl year. Saints came out hot and angry early on scoring 40 burgers the first 4 out of 6 games. Stayed hot all the way up through the New England game on Prime time. That was a truly epic night where the Saints murdered the Pats 38-17 and made Brady and Belichik look very confused. Then we started to cool down due to injuries. The horrific night happened Dec.19 losing our first game to the hated Cowboys. Demarcus Ware ate Brees for lunch that night. Then the following week we lost to the 2-12 Bucs at home. My reaction was: Oh God here we go again. Then finally we were fortunate to get healthy in the playoffs by taking care of business whooping the Cards 45-14. Then Jan.24 2010 came. The NFFCG against the Vikings. Drew Brees did not have a good night. The Vikes D shut our offense down better than anyone did. But you can thank the Defense for forcing 5 turnovers and the most critical, Tracy Porter's Interception that forced the game into OT. We won the coin toss. Hartley sealed the deal. The most epic FG kick of all time. And of course after this game, the Saints were "Accused" of being dirty, cheaters, frauds and a fluke. Haters gonna hate right?
2 weeks away we were headed for Miami. It was the longest 2 weeks I can remember. Saints took care of business in Miami in the second half. And I'm a firm believer, the epic onside kick changed the momentum in our favor. Sean Payton has some Brass Balls let me tell you. Final score 31-17
Monday Night Nov.30 2009. The most hyped game ever!
You gotta be kidding me I can't believe what I just saw!
Picked off! LOOK OUT!!
3. The 2011 season. I wish could either tie this season with 2006 or 2009. This was the season ALL the records were broken, including Marino's Record. We scored a TON of points this season and ended up 13-3 as I predicted. And of course there were people complaining we were "Running Up The Score". Don't like it? Good. It's the defenses job to stop the other team from scoring. It was truly an incredible season. After that barn burning thriller in SF which stung like hell for a good while. I was obsessing the fact of the Saints hosting the NFFCG in the Dome. Needless to say, even crown and seven or bloody mary's couldn't ease my pain. Grrrrr!! Don't want to go there.
A Broken Record
4. The 2008 season. Great offense that season, terrible defense. So many close games. So many mistakes including very short yardage. Drew Brees was 16 yards shy of Marino's Record and threw for over 5,069 yards. Number 1 offense, number 1 in scoring ended up 8-8 and finished last place in the NFC South. How a team can score 460 points and end up dead last? Terrible defense killed us. We were millimeters from being a 13-3 team that season.
5. The 2007 season. The year after that glorious season riding cloud nine. Our holes were exposed, no running game and not so good defense. Draft choices were not good in 07, I remember Payton and Loomis admitting that later on. After a horrific 0-4 start, the Saints managed to get back to 4-4 after winning 4 straight. Then that nightmare winless 0-8 team the Rams came to the dome and beat us 37-29 dropping us to 4-5 pretty much ending our playoff chances. It was a good test that season to remind them more work was needed.
6. The 2010 season. I certainly didn't want to pick this as the worst. However, it was the most disappointing season in my book. Do you believe in the Superbowl Hangover? Do you believe in the Madden Curse? I do. Somehow the 2010 Saints did not have that same fire and anger they had from the 2009 season. The offense looked very anemic, especially early on. We had a pretty easy schedule and barely beat some very bad teams. Oh yeah, and we lost to Arizona, Cleveland and yuck....Seattle in the playoffs. I never forgave Gregg Williams for that. Injuries were a huge factor that season and heading into the playoffs. Drew Brees played hurt all season, and still put up some good numbers. Like I said, it wasn't the worst, it was the most disappointing. However, the Steelers Game on Halloween was epic!
Halloween Night Madness
So I hope you enjoy the memory lane and remember the great times. And Sean Payton, we are right behind you brother. If somehow your sentence is not reduced in 2012, which by God I hope it is reduced, we proudly await your return in 2013. You are the best thing that has happened for this franchise. We Saints fans will always support you no matter what. And that goes for you too Drew Brees.

The New Orleans Saints - Most Hated Organization?
Here's to hoping April will be better than March. Even if it's slightly better, anything would help.My stage of grief is still a lot of anger. And it has nothing to do with the coach or the team being being punished. It has everything to do with the Principle behind it. Should there be some sort of punishment? Yes, I believe in fairness. Does the punishment fit the crime? Hell no! Do I believe this ordeal has turned into a Witch Hunt? Absolutely! The problem I have with this is I feel like this has been a "Slam Dunk" and the Saints have been Singled Out from all the other 31 teams.
We, as an organization have been hated since we won the Superbowl. Thanks to Goodell and the bloody media, we are way more hated than before due to the fact our reputation has been tarnished forever in a very negative light. This issue should have been handled in a Private Matter, not public. Why? Because regardless of all the evidence, the media has twisted a lot of things around. If it were up to me, the media should be banned permanently. A matter of fact, in the career field of media, that career should be banned for life. For so many years people, organizations, institutions etc have had their legacies and reputations ruined due to "Hearsay" from the media..without presenting "all the facts" beforehand. This is an unfortunate situation that has snowballed out of control by rushing to judgement.
I believe in fairness, and this was not fair treatment received from Goodell. If Sean Payton would have gotten a 4 to 6 game suspension would I upset? Sure. However, I would accept it a whole lot more than a 1 year suspension. Donte Stallworth get's a 1 year suspension for killing someone in a DWI incident. Sean Payton get's a 1 year suspension for the Bounty situation. See the difference here?
The price you pay for winning a Championship. Regardless, it's still our championship. No one can or will take that away from us.
We are extremely hated no doubt. Heck, we may run a close second to Casey Anthony..who was voted as the most hated person in America. See the difference there too huh? I will never forgive Goodell or the media for running this way too far in the ground. I'm a very passionate fan and will support my team all the way until it's my time to depart this earth.
The way the Saints need to respond to such adversity? Bring home another championship in New Orleans. And let Goodell be the one to hand it to us. Would love for it to be handed to Sean Payton, hopefully Goodell will do the right thing by reducing his sentence.
Good luck to you boys in New York this week. We're all pulling for you!

Win Or Lose - Saints Get No Respect.
It's a beautiful sunny day here in Austin,Tx. Crystal clear skies upper 60's. The weather sure does not fit the bill the way I'm feeling after this horrific Witch Hunt. I saw the Weather Report online down in South La. The heavy rain sure does fit the bill down there. Talk about raining on someone's parade, thanks to Roger Goodell, who doesn't give two sheets about the Saints.
First of all, I would have been ok with the fines issued at hand and possibly suspensions for a couple or few games. I was fine with Gregg Williams getting suspended indefinitely. However, I'm not ok with Loomis being suspended for 8 games, and I'm definitely NOT ok with Sean Payton being suspended for the WHOLE SEASON!
Let's face it. This is a Modern Day Witch Hunt. I'll guarantee you, if it would have been one of Goodell's "Popular" teams doing a Bounty, the penalties would have been alot less harsh. It all comes down to Politics. And that is a fact! I love Sean Payton and always will. I pray for his return in 2013. He turned this Franchise into a complete 180 from the Haslett/Brooks era. Payton is a winner in spite of some of the wrong doings, he's a genius just like Bill Belichick. Most importantly: they are gamblers and rebels with an attitude. Is Sean Payton arrogant? Absolutely! He wins games, he runs up the score, so what!
When it comes to coaching there's a difference between being arrogant and a nice guy. For example: Bum Philips was a nice guy. He came to New Orleans and brought us to mediocrity a couple years. In 1983, we saw that small ray of light where we played the Rams the last game of the season and needed a win to make the playoffs for the first time. 2 interceptions returned for TD's and a last second FG shattered those dreams. In a night game in 1984, the Saints were ahead of the Cowboys 27-6 in the 4th quarter. Richard Todd was having a heck of a game. He got hurt in the 4th quarter, Stabler came in and you know how that game ended up. Mora stepped in as coach from 86-96. 4 playoff appearances and no wins.
So now fast forward to 2006 - present. We became a winning franchise under Payton, Loomis and Brees. Only one losing season in 07 at 7-9. 2 NFCCG and one Superbowl Victory. And yes...I will call it a Superbowl Victory. For anyone to call it an "asterisk" or a "tainted lombardi", is flat out uneducated.
Why do I love Sean Payton? Simple. He brought a Nasty Gogetter, Go For It, Attitude to the team. And I love my "Arrogant Rebellious Saints" I love it when they run up the score even if we're known as classless. Don't like running up the score? Do something about it. The Patriots did it, so why can't we? Look at the success the Pats have had the last decade, 5 SB appearances 3 Rings. Whether you like them or not, they know how to win games. And that's exactly why I love Sean Payton. He is a carbon copy of Belichick. An offensive genius.
Win or lose I will be a Saints fan till the day I die. How will the Saints respond to this Witch Hunt? I hope to God they go out for blood in 2012. This should make them madder than Hell.
Dear Saints: Don't let the haters or the Witch Hunt ruin the 2012 season. Use this as a motivator to win the SB in "New Orleans" so Goodell can eat crow after "Your Victory". Continue to run up the score. Most importantly? Don't lose that Arrogant Nasty Attitude!
It is what it is. A Witch Hunt.
Saints or Sinners? I will love you till the day I die.
GO SAINTS!!!!!!

It Was An Epic Season!
I will say that was one crazy game! And it stings like hell. And I would like to add we had a very good season. I wanted so badly to get that second ring. But we fell short. The good news? We weren't one and done. I'm not settling or anything of that matter, but if we're going to shoot for that second ring, we must improve on defense. Our offense was phenominal all season long. And Drew Brees will always be my hero till the end. He's a true leader and a winner. He did his job fighting us back to a possible win at the end. But the defense.....alot to be desired.
The 9ers have a great defense, and it certainly showed today by creating 5 turnovers. Even though we had a chance to win at the end, the 9ers Earned that victory. We didn't protect the football early on, 5 turnovers and still put up 32 points. Fought back after being down 17-0. Nothing wrong with this offense. The defense hung in there most of the game, but broke in the end. The better team won today. Congrats to the 9ers. You were the better team today, you proved it on the field.
No whining from me. You won't hear me say, oh we could have won even with 5 turnovers or this wasn't called, that wasn't called, the refs blah blah. I won't stoop to that level if you guys know what I mean. We got beat in an epic thriller. But I'm extremely proud of the offense fighting back in the game and at least giving us a chance. I love Sean Payton, Drew Brees and this team.
However, Dear God, please in the off-season, give us at least an "Improved Defense"
Haters Gonna Hate, Keep Hating!
Good morning my fellow brother's and sisters on CSC. Enjoying this victory against a very tough team last night who gave us fits in the first half. I've enjoyed this season, I've enjoyed the broken records and looking forward to the challenge next Saturday on the road against the 49ers. Hoping to get our first road playoff win.
I'm sure you folks notice, people hate success. Well let me take that back. People love success of "certain" teams. If you've read any articles such as this garbage. I mean come on let's face it, every game has bad or questionable calls. Bu bu but, when a bad call goes in favor for the Saints, it's such a terrible sin. Oh and how many years did we have bad calls go against us? Yeah that's what I thought. And not once did I ever blame that solely on a loss. From what I remember, didn't the Saints score 35 points in the second half? Oh wait a minute now, wouldn't that be considered "Running up the score"?
Oh yeah and one thing I don't want to forget, seems like when the Saints are kicking butt outscoring other opponents, certain "Fan Bases" like to throw in a made up "Katrina Rule" when Brees is torching secondaries. That is the most idiotic disgusting phrase I've ever heard in my life. Yeah real cool! Bring up a disaster that happened 6 years ago that killed thousands of people. And wishing a broken leg on Drew Brees. Classy!
For all you whiners out there constantly blaming the refs week after week when the Saints are winning or any other team having success, need to quit watching football and take up a quilting hobby or any hobby that doesn't require scoring or full contact. And if you don't like the Saints putting 40 burgers on your Defense, do some about it! Stop them or draft another D coordinator or draft a Defense that can stop them.
We are hated more than any other team. And you know what? Good! That just shows people hate success of "Certain" teams such as the Saints. In their minds we're supposed to be the old lovable mediocre/losers we once were. Screw that. Keep hating.
And I'll close with this: I'll be damned that I would ever degrade myself to such disgusting acts mentioned above or anywhere for that matter.
Drew Brees and the Saints. Keep doing what you're doing. Run up the score, play hard, play physical. You're our team through thick and thin. And we love you for that. Don't change for Anybody.
Keep on Hatin Haters.
Heart Attack Hotel Part II!
Greetings Falcoholics. Jricky from CSC. Happy Holidays to all and families out there. Monday night match up is right around the corner and looking forward to the adrenaline rush between the 2 heated rivals who are playing outstanding football. And to be quite honest, your team is quite scary! On the offense and defense side of the ball. My question is: did the play calling change on the offensive side? Or has it finally found it's stride? I watched Matt Ryan pick apart the defense last Thursday night, and noticed he got more protection I've seen in a good while. So something must have sparked a change on offense.
This has been a very strange week in the NFL since Sunday. Colts won their first game against a decent Titans team, and the most shocking? The Packers lost to the Chiefs. Any given Sunday, anything can happen. This Monday night will be a playoff like atmosphere. 2 tough hot rivalries going at it in a heated southern battle. Whereas 2 teams has something to fight for. Even though we're at home, it will be an extremely tough game that can go either way. So here's to a great game on Monday night hopefully with no injuries, very few penalties and how about no sloppiness. Hopefully with a saints win. We shall see. I predict another down to the wire game with chest pains.
Enjoy this clip. This epic ninja fight reminds me a lot of Saints/Falcons games.

Time to Put Skirts on All NFL Players?
Greetings my fellow CSCers. Hope everyone is having a great week and getting geared up for the Christmas Holidays. Life is grand here. As most of you know, I've had a good laugh all morning. And I'm wondering what ever happened to the "Toughness" and "Sportsmanship" of NFL football. It seems as the years go on, there are more losers who just can man up and accept the fact you lost a game and congratulate the other teams successes. Even when our hated rivals beat us, I always show class and congrats for their efforts.
For most of you that already know, the word "Dirty Saints" has been the hot topic all over again in Regards to "All Days" comments after the Saints 42-20 win over the Vikings. Accusing one of our players of twisting his hurt ankle in a pile up. I saw zero evidence of that. Apparently, after a 3rd time of unsuccessfully beating our Saints, he's accused the Saints of "Dirty Play" again. The point I'm trying to come across is, it's better just to keep your mouth shut after you had your butts handed to you.
I'm also, like other Saints fans, are sick and tired of being labeled as "Dirty".
That is not who we are and that's not how we operate. Thanks for opening your mouth and slandering our team again. You brought out the ugly of the ugliest in people again. I watched the whole game and didn't miss a play. I saw zero evidence of any dirty play in Sunday's game. So my question to you guys is: Is it time to put skirts on them and go to flag football? Famous quote from "Jack Lambert" Because apparently, I for once thought this was a full contact sport.

Whew! We Dodged Some Serious Bullets In That Game!
That was stressful! Honestly? I don't know we came out with a win that game. But what matters is: we came out with a win thanks to the 4th and inches stop in OT. Obviously I don't know what they were thinking 2 things. Going for it deep in their own territory, and the horrific playcall by their O' Coordinator. But regardless, any way you look at it, we are 7-3. Sometimes I'd rather be lucky than good. And I felt that way during the game. It could have gone either way. There were tons of mistakes, penalties, and dropped balls on both sides. The good news? We're heading into the bye week before we play the Giants at the Dome. This would be a great time to rest and clean up some of the God awful mistakes they're making.
The Positives? Colston was clutch this game and came up crucial plays when needed. Robert Meachem! Where have you been all this time? Thank you for showing up today for a Much Important needed win for the division. The offensive line? Did a remarkable job protecting Drew Brees. Roman Harper and Jabari Greer were the best players on defense.
The negatives? 3rd down was atrocious. 4-13 is unacceptable. I saw some of the most bone headed play calling on 3rd down today. I hate that 90 degree pass where we lose yards or get no gain. Mr. Payton, please remember to remove that from the playbook. The defense smells it every time. And remember this: on 3rd down, throw PAST the markers, not short of it. The running game? Atrocious. 41 total yards from scrimmage. Big difference from 200 yds a week ago against Tampa Bay. 5 punts. Way too many. This offense should only punt once a game. Too many FG's. Results in lousy play on 3rd downs. Penalties 8 for 79 yards. Way too many. Atlanta had 10. It was a slugfest out there. And don't forget there were a lot of drops out there.
And guys I'm not trying to sound negative in any way shape or form. We are 7-3 and leading the division yes, and I'm glad we got the win. A Big win against a heck of a good Falcons football team with a stout run defense. However, we are not playing Elite football like we should be. I'm hoping they can clean these mistakes during and after the bye. We got a tough 6 game stretch coming ahead. We must improve. This division isn't locked up yet, we must play better. Stress level was Red high today. But we got the Win Baby!
Let's clean up these mistakes down the stretch and improve for the playoffs.
The New Orleans Jeckyll N Hyde!
Ladies and Gents. I will not sugar coat this horrific ordeal. A matter of fact? I'm going to call it as I see it. I am as every bit frustrated as everyone else is. This team is in BIG trouble! How on God's green earth do you go from extremely dominant one week to totally God Awful the next. And not to mention to a horrible 0-6 team? Well, to put it mildly, I believe I have this figured out.
For one thing our defense is garbage! Gregg Williams is garbage! Tracy Porter went from Hero to total zero. They can't stop the run. They can't even stop one of the worst defenses out there. Oh and wait a minute! Wasn't it mentioned there were some second stringers on the Rams defense? I'm just sick and stunned. We could be sitting at 7-1 or at least 6-2 running away with this Division.
The offense stunk as well. Does Meachem and Henderson even play anymore? They have been non existent lately. Drew Brees, even though the O'line did an F- job did terrible as well. Where was the deep ball? Why can't our receivers get frigging open? Brees was 12-15 for 88 yards at one time. That's pretty awful. That's almost like throwing 2 yard completions. I am sick and tired of this team playing "soft" against bad teams. Umm Cleveland, Arizona, Seahawks and the 0-6 Rams who are now 1-6. I think I agree with our friend Stujo regarding steep decline.
This is a Jeckyll N Hyde inconsistent team. We never know anymore who's gonna show up. I've very disgusted with the offensive playcalling. Dink n Dunk crap. And why the hell did we punt with 6 minutes left down by 10? We were exposed today. It's panic time folks! If we don't rebound this Sunday, this season is in jeopardy. We'll be lucky to get in as a wildcard. There is too much ego on this team. The Saints thought they could walk on the visiting teams field, toss their helmets, and have the attitude: We're The New Orleans Saints! We're going to just walk out of here with a win. No matter if your opponent is the undefeated Packers or the winless Rams, you play football to your fullest potential!
And I would personally like to congratulate the coaching staff and the New Orleans Saints for playing down to an inferior team...Again! And I would like to thank them for allowing everyone to laugh at us again. And boy! Are we getting laughed at! I certainly can handle getting beat from a good team that shows hard effort that they fought through the whole game. But I CERTAINLY can not handle embarrassing losses such as this! And this has been a pattern. I see it!! And I hope you can too!
The Coaching! The Defense!! The offense!! Get's an F- for complete utter Epic failure!! And Payton and company, if this doesn't wake you up! I don't know what the heck will!!
There's my rant folks! My optimism is very dismal as you can see!
Let's hear what you have to say. Rant away folks!

Lots Of Questions Need To Be Answered
It was a very ugly day indeed. And I hope Sean Payton has a good quick recovery. Sucks to see a freakish accident happen like that. Needless to say we looked awful. The Bucs defense did what it took to win the game. Both sides of the ball, we flat out sucked. I will say this, the turnovers need to stop. You can't win games with 4 turnovers. Most importantly, we can't keep relying on late 4th quarter comebacks. It bit us today and will bite us again.
Okay here are my questions for the night that I've been observing.
Why do we struggle in the red zone so much? What happened to our great number 1 offense where we could score TD's on any given play?
Why does our running game suck so bad? Is it the offensive line? Scheme?
Is Gregg Williams overrated? Ever since the Seattle game he's not been on my good list. He's giving up way too many big plays. And what the heck happened to Tracy Porter? He hasn't done Jack s**t since 09. He got burned a few times today. From hero to zero? And it's quite obvious our defense sucks. Only 3 forced turnovers in 6 games.
Why can't we tackle? (Important)
What happened to our "Big Playmaker" Robert Meachem? 2 of Brees int's this season were due to Meachem's drops.
Why can't our receivers get wide open like did in 09 and previous? Do they look like they're slowing down for some reason? It seems like Brees can't find receivers get open. They look blanketed most of the time.
What happened to yards after catch? Seems like a long time ago since I've seen long yards after the catch.
Are the receivers aging? It just seems like they're not as fast as they used to be.
I hope they come out mad as hell next Sunday night at the dome. Not panicking yet, just concerned is all. They just need to improve. We had a golden opportunity to have a 2 game lead in the division. We did not capitalize.
Help me out guys!
Any CSCers In The Austin Area?
Hey guys. Hope all is well. Haven't been on here much lately due to being in my rear end in packing, boxes and house stuff. In 2 weeks from now, I will be moving to North Austin near the Roundrock area. I finally sold my house after having it on the market for 10 months now and got a good offer.
However, I'm very ecstatic about this move. Number one, to be closer to brother and family. Number two, a change of scenery. And I will say, if anyone lives near the Austin area or has never been, it's quite a beautiful area with great scenery and fun things to do. It is one of the cleanest areas I've been too. So the next couple of weeks I will be extremely busy but will pop in from time to time. The first weekend I will be there, there will be the Sunday night game vs. the Colts. And we already have a family Saints party that night.
And I know there will be Sundays where the Saints won't be televised, but don't worry, there are bars in the area that televise Saints games or will do online streaming. I'm really looking forward to this change. I've lived in Charlotte and Virginia years ago and still was and always be a die hard Saints fan no matter where I go or where I live.
So 2 weeks from today I will be moved to North Austin and can't wait. So, any CSCers live in that area?
We Are 0-1. No Problem!
Well that was some barn burner we played tonight. And I thought Brees and the offense played very well. However, the red zone woes hurt us again and I'll say it again for the 100th time. 3rd and 4th and short. Mr Payton needs to fix that ASAP. We have good RB's that should be able to convert on those short yards. This loss stings and were close to almost winning this game against a very good team.
I just saw a very interesting stat on ESPN just a few minutes ago. It mentioned the Saints were dead last in short yardage situations along with the Cowboys Jags and Rams. The same situation in 2008. We must cure that 3rd and 4th and short problem. Other teams make it look so easy where we make it look very difficult. We don't want to struggle with that problem in 2011.
We played against a great football team! The defending champs at Lambeau in a tough environment where we put 34 points on them. And credit to the Packers defense, they have a very good defense. And these 2 offenses are nearly identical. They score alot of points along with 2 phenominal QB's.
The defense? Horrendous. Still can't tackle nor stop the run. I think Gregg Williams has alot to answer for that. But you know what? We have a 10 day break to fix these problems before we face the Bears at the Dome. I believe we will get back to 1-1 and kick butt from there. So everyone needs to relax, it's one game. We have 15 more to go and we can win this division to get home field advantage. Let's focus on the positives for the next game. Keep the faith CSCers!
Heck Of A Game Guys!
Wow! Well we knew it would be a thriller! The predictions were correct. When you're in a shootout with the best 2 offenses in the league, the game could go either way. You guys did what it took to win the game, we did not. But I'm proud of our team (Particularly the offense) fighting till the end. It all boiled down to a 3rd and 4th and short. A goal line stance. And most importantly, a turnover early in the game. That is a no no against Aaron Rodgers. I enjoyed blogging with you guys. You guys are a class act and thank you Brandon for running a cool site.
This loss will sting for a while, but I'm confident we will get back to 1-1 when we face the Bears at the Dome week 2. I pray for our defense to improve or there will be alot of shootouts like tonite. And they can go either way. Best of luck the rest of the season. Hope to see you guys in the playoffs in the Dome and not in subzero temps in January.
Great game guys!
My Predictions For The 2011 Season!
Hey guys I thought I would liven things up a little bit. It seems that alot of people are concerned on how we're going to do in the regular season. Quite frankly I'm confident we will come out sharp. So here's my predictions for the season so feel free to comment and post your thoughts and opinions.

This will be an offensive showdown between Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers. Both defenses will struggle We will be playing at Lambeau against the Defending Superbowl champs. And it's very very rare the defending champions lose at home on opening night. Although not impossible. And very tough to play at Lambeau. Unfortunately we end up losing a very close high scoring game. (Hope I'm wrong) We will rematch against them in the NFCCG at the Dome and win.
Packers 38 Saints 37
2. Bears at Saints
This is when the defense shines and plays lights out. And as we know we are currently 0-3 against the Bears under Payton. The Bears have been like kryptonite to us. We will get our revenge here and Cutler won't know what hit him. Saints will be on fire this game. The Kryptonite ends this game!
Saints 34 Bears 13
3. Texans at Saints
You will see a totally different game than the pre-season game. It will still be a tough game but we will pull this one off in a nail biter.
Saints 27 Texans 24
4. Saints at Jaguars
Saints will make this one look easy although the Jags are just a mediocre team. The running game will be a huge factor in this game. Saints will have over 200 yds rushing and lead by a mile in TOP.
Saints 28 Jaguars 10
5. Saints at Panthers
There's very little improvement from the Panthers but they usually play us tough. I think we get a slow sluggish start and finish strong in the end. Special teams will be on fire this game.
Saints 31 Panthers 14
6. Saints at Bucs.
The third road game in a row and the Saints are pretty tired from all the traveling. Turnover battle will be the key in this game.
Saints 24 Bucs 16
7. Colts at Saints
The Colts will want some revenge after the Superbowl loss, but it won't be enough to stop the Saints back at home after a 3 week road games. However, this game will come down the wire with Brees driving the team down in the 2 minute warning. Look for a thriller this game!
Saints 35 Colts 34
8. Saints at Rams
Rams are much improved under Sam Bradford. Saints will be down 17-13 at halftime. But will come out strong in the second half where Brees and the offense heats up and takes control of the game. Malcolm Jenkins will also have another big game.
Saints 34 Rams 24
9. Buccaneers at Saints
The Bucs have given us fits at the Dome in recent years. This will change on this beautiful Sunday. Look for Ivory and Ingram to have a banner day running the ball. Brees will pass for over 300 yards and no turnovers. The defense plays well this game and creates turnovers.
Saints 31 Bucs 13
10. Saints at Falcons
The most thrilling rivalry in the NFL. These games always come down to the wire. Yes, unfortunately the Falcons will be very good this season and will make the playoffs. There's nothing ever boring between these 2 heated rivals. They're very tough at home. And I have this one at a loss in a tight heartbreaking barn burner. Both offenses will score a ton of points. And the bad news is: I have this one in overtime.
Falcons 37 Saints 34
11. Bye week. Perfect timing!
12. Giants at Saints
Saints come out fired up after the loss to the Falcons. Brees and the offense are clicking on all cylinders. It will be dominating like the game in 09. The defense forces 3 turnovers and Eli has a bad game.
Saints 45 Giants 20
13. Lions at Saints
Ladies and Gents, this is not the Lions of old. They are no longer pushovers. They are stout on defense and offense. Provided if Stafford stays healthy, this will be a very very dangerous team that will shock the NFL. They're not yet a Superbowl caliber team, but definitely a playoff caliber team. Brees will have tough time against the lions defense. Unfortunately this will be our worst game of the season. It will be our only loss at the Dome this season.
Lions 34 Saints 23
14. Saints at Titans
This is a worrier as well. We haven't matched well against the Titans. Matter of fact, I don't believe we've beaten the Titans. although we've only played them a few times. Saints will struggle in this one but will come out with the win at the end.
Saints 23 Titans 20
15. Saints at Vikings
A single game rivalry that has gone on for quite some time. We never seem to able to blow this team out. It's been very close games between the two the past decade. They have a tough defense but the offense remains to be seen under Donovan McNabb and possible Ponder may play this season. I have the Saints in a 10 point win.
Saints 31 Vikings 21
16. Falcons at Saints
A huge critical rematch between both heated rivalries. And as always, another nail biting thrilling exciting barn burner that will give you some chest pains. This is a must win for the Saints to lock up the Number one seed for Home Field Advantage. As of now the Saints are 12-2 and the Falcons are 11-3. And yes, we will all be very nervous this game. Aren't Saints and Falcon games always like that? Saints are down 34 to 31 with 1:42 left after Atlanta scored a long TD. Brees drives them down the field with 38 seconds left on a 25 yd Meachem TD!
Saints 38 Atlanta 34 Saints clinch home field advantage! Yes!!
17. Panthers at Saints
A game that means absolutely nothing. All the starters will play one series and that's it. Then the 2nd and 3rd stringers will play the rest of the game. Let the Panthers have fun during the last game while we're geared up for the first round bye and polished for the playoffs and a Superbowl run.
Panthers 24 Saints 13
Well there you go my fellow CSC'ers. That's my prediction for the 2011 season. A 13-3 record with a first round bye. Feel free to share your opinions and comments. Share your feelings on how you feel the 2011 season will pan out for us.
The Keys To A Very Successful 2011 Season!

Greetings my fellow CSCers! My crazy creative mind is brainstorming all these thoughts now that Football Season is just a blink of an eye away. Heck I'm even excited just to see the first Pre-Season game with the Black n Gold on the field. I'm very anxious to see our Rookies and signed free agents kick some major butt on the field. We were graded very high in our draft picks and free agent signings. I must say, my optimism is very high.
I love the fact we have a tough schedule! Because most of you know, most of the time we play extremely well against solid teams. I'm counting down the days and hours to that first pre-season game! But I definitely can't wait till Sept.8th.
So anyway, I'm going to discuss the major factors of having a killer 2011 season. The most important factor is "Staying Healthy"! The fewer injuries, or hopefully none, the more dangerous we will be. That's what killed us last season. We were plagued with injuries in the RB dept. and in our secondary. And the fact that Drew's knee was hurt didn't help as well.
The next factor is balance on offense. Balance the run with the pass and set up Brees deep play action pass. Last season we were one dimensional. Not to mention the O'line protection was not as efficient as the previous season. I hope Ingram has a killer year, and I think he will do well. And get well soon Ivory.
Special Teams: Which was horrific last season. Now that we drafted Darren Sproles, I think you're going to see a huge upgrade in that area.
Defense: Stopping the run needs much more improvement. We allowed way too many rushing yards and too much TOP for the opposing teams. With our new draft choices, look for a big upgrade in that area.
Red Zone and Turnovers: Plagued us last season and we can fix that problem as well!
And of course, remembering the 2009 season, the Saints came out with fiery anger on the field and were scoring a ton of points. I know Sean Payton and Co. were Fiery Hot after...well you know, after the playoff game. He had mentioned in the off-season his goal was to show that "He Wants To Prove That We're Not A One Hit Wonder" I love the sound of that! That says he's mad as hell and will not settle for just 1 Lombardi.
I Like It When Sean Payton's Angry!! Just go back to the 2009 season.
I believe we are going to see a bunch of fired up Saints players on the field in 2011!!
AND I'M READY!!!
Some Catching Up to Do
Hello my fellow CSC'ers. I haven't had access to follow up on news the past few days since I've been on family vacation. Most importantly the lockout is over now. I see we have signed our draft picks so far. However, I was pretty shocked to see Reggie Bush traded to the Dolphins. He gave us some fond memories and some not so fond memories at times.
I have some catching up to do on current events. Have we signed any free agencies? And who? And who else have we let go? Forgive me for asking I just want to know where we're at.
Hard to believe football is right around the corner!
Ladies and Gentlemen! Back in Business!
First of all. I had to make sure I wasn't dreaming and needed a slap in the face to make sure this was real! Well, come to find out, yes we do have a full season! And I am ready for some football!!!!! I sure have felt like these past 4 months I've been in a very "No you didn't" Yes you did" dysfunctional relationship. And I'm pretty exhausted LOL!
It's been a roller coaster ride for all of us but we made it through. I'm looking forward to the free agent sign ups, our rookies, and our whole team regrouping and getting back in full form. Are you ready for some Ingramaniaa!!!!! I know I am! I am currently on Vacation now having an awesome time with family. And I told myself last Thursday night when we thought the lockout "was"over that I will not let it affect me. My older brother is excited as well. He's a diehard like me.
Thank God that 4 month dysfunctional relational is over!
So everyone! Relax, have an ice cold beer, mixed drink whatever.
William Shatner's greatest singing performance regarding the Lockout. Don't worry Dave. It's censored.
Classic song by Rick James. He says chill out, relax and congrats to the ending of the lockout.
And last but not least! Let's go for our second Lombardi!!

Remembering Archie Manning. What Could Have Been!
Going down memory lane here. Remembering when I watched my first Saints game on October 14 1979 when we crushed the Bucs 42-14. I've bled Black n Gold ever since. I remember that 1979 season was quite exciting watching the offense. Archie Manning, Wes Chandler, Chuck Muncie, Henry Childs, Tinker Owens (Who lived 5 houses down from me in Kenner). It was a good offensive duo during that time. And his flee flicker gadget plays were quite awesome.
I thoroughly enjoyed watching Archie play the game. He played like a warrior! He had excellent work ethics and was True Leader! Above all, a Class Act! I have thought what could have been if he had more protection upfront. How far he would have taken us. Well, I'm a firm believer he would have taken us far if we had the offensive line to protect him. I remember him running for his life, doing crazy passes and taking hard hits like no other. And yet still playing in the game.
I'll never forget I was quite upset when he was let go in the 1982 season. He was missed not only by the players, but the fans as well. I often wondered how well he would have done on Jim Mora's team, or Jim Haslett's.
I found a video where he won our first game in the Superdome against Green Bay in 1975.

Another video where he made an incredible play for the Oilers.

I couldn't find many videos on Archie. I wish they had more. So guys, what are thoughts on how Archie would have panned out with better O'line protection?
The guy was a true warrior and a class act!

Reggie Bush's Dedication to the Team or Lack of?
News travels pretty fast I must say. I just noticed this article regarding Reggie's tweets and the previous tweet when
the Saints drafted Mark Ingram. I'm firm believer that you stand up for what you for what's right and what you believe in. On the other hand, there are times when you should zip your mouth shut and not say anything at all.
Here are the 3 tweets I found on the article:
He confirms his tweet from weeks ago "It's been fun New Orleans" was a joke.
Really Reggie? Most of thought it was a comment regarding the Hornets game. Apparently I was wrong
The second tweet actually struck a nerve with me:
"Slaving" and putting our bodies at risk for nothing.
Well wait a minute Reggie. You get paid way too much as it is and you have the gall to mention the word "Slaving"?? Last time I checked when you play in the NFL you're supposed to workout and practice "with the team you play for" That means helmets, pads and all. It's football reggie, and yes there are chances your "Body" is at risk. That's the name of game.
And last but not least: "Everybody complaining about the lockout".
You bet your sweet *** we are! Players from all the teams are committed and ready to play football Reggie. Where's your head at son?
And the last sentence irked me like no other:
"Shoot I'm making the most of it! Vacation, rest, relaxation, appearances here and there. I'm good!"
Oh I just bet you are!! Does this sound like he's really that dedicated to this team?
So there you have it. I found the article here:
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_corner/post/Reggie-Bush-doesn-8217-t-seem-to-get-the-concep?urn=nfl-wp1919
Anyway just wanted to share this with my fellow CSCers. So tell me this, does it sound like Reggie gives a flying hoop about what's supposed to be a dedication to the Saints? My advice is: he needs keep his mouth shut or he may be taking a much longer "Vacation" than anticipated. And when he mentioned "Slaving", that just irked me.
So guys! Is he dedicated or not. Your thoughts?
Congratulations To The Packers!
Saints fan here. And I wanted to let you guys know, you have a heck of a strong football team and peeked at the right time at the end of the season and through the playoffs. That's what good teams do. And you guys are classy bunch that's very passionate about your team
And that Aaron Rodgers is scary! He proved all the doubters and haters wrong that's for sure! I thought we would end up meeting in the NFCCG this season. But we fell short on that horrific defensive performance in that 41-36 loss to the Seahawks.
I know we play you guys next season at Lambeau (Hopefully not in December) And it would be cool seeing Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers playing in a shootout thriller! And hopefully we will have a running game and a much upgraded defense to stop Rodgers.
Congratulations on your 13th championship and 4th Lombardi! You deserve it. There were penalties and quite a few drops but you found ways to win and finished strong in the 4th quarter. That's what champions do. Enjoy this off-season and celebrate like no other. There's no feeling like it.
The 2010 Season. Tie It To A Tree. Hack It To Death With A Chainsaw!
Well first off, you have to give credit to Seattle for playing a very hard fought game for a full 60 minutes. When you score 36 points (as pretty as it was) and don't win. You don't deserve to be in the playoffs. In spite of their 7-9 record. The season starts over with a 0-0 record.
Guys I will say, I've never been to keen on this 2010 season. When we lost to the Cards and Browns, it gave me fear that this season in some way shape or form that somewhere down the stretch we were in for a letdown. My 2 fears were: ending up 10-6 and missing the playoffs, or being one and done in the playoffs. There were way too many mistakes this season. Turnovers, poor defense, missed opportunities on 3rd down and stupid penalties. It wouldn't surprise me if we're not the most penalized team in the NFL.
Let's face it guys. Our defense is horrific. And for the experts that were stating the Saints defense was better than last year, is totally off their rocker. Our defense showed up for 2 games this season against 2 good teams. Pittsburgh and Atlanta. Roman Harper is garbage, he can't cover a walking turtle. Porter and Greer were burnt like toast yesterday. I'm not too high on them either. Our D line is weak, except for Vilma. Clean house on defense. This is not working. Maybe Gregg Williams is not the answer for our defense.
And don't get me started on special teams. The worst special return teams I've ever seen.
Drew Brees threw 60 passes yesterday. I bet his arm is exhausted. He's not had his best year even though he threw for over 4600 yds. Yesterday, he didn't throw an INT. But there were key 3rd downs where he didn't do well. And the 3 yard passes into traffic drive me absolutely nuts. Maybe a couple of our receivers are losing a little speed perhaps? I know Devery is not as lightning fast as it used to be.
And Reggie Bush? Bye Bye. Thank you for the 2006 season.
A message for Sean Payton. I hope you read this carefully. One thing that really annoys me about you is you struggle against weaker/ bad teams such as: The Cards this season. The Browns, almost lost to Carolina at home, the 2-12 Bucs "At Home" last season. I despised you for that. And let's not forget, the 0-8 Rams in 2007. Teams like the Steelers, the Pats, the Colts, dominate inferior teams Mr Payton. Maybe that can be your part of your seminar for the 2011 off season.
Oh, and I love how Internet cowards resort to vile juvenile behavior after a Saints loss. Such as: Katrina Crap, the refs gifted you last year blah blah blah. Or here's a good one. Maybe the next hurricane will wipe that ugly city off the map. Real classy people..I could go on and on.
For instance: Take a look on Yahoo Sports...known as the "Trailer Park Blog Site" after the Saints loss yesterday. Loaded with hate and slander beyond belief. These clowns should not have the privilege to blog such garbage.
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/recap;_ylt=AtqIqzGzM2k0PbjGYJguiBpDubYF?gid=20110108026
Over 2000 posts. 90% ugly hate. I bet these cowards would steal from an elderly couple and a blind man.
Shame on Yahoo allowing juveniles to blog such garbage. Way to treat your fellow Americans like crap. Real Classy.
So here's my take on the 2010 season. Good Riddance! I may be one Rough n Tough hard nosed fan. But the truth is: I'm a very "Loyal" fan to my team. I just don't sugar coat anything.
It's going to be a long off-season. Maybe we'll get some good draft choices and free agencies for the 2011 season.
There's my rant for the day.
Fire Away!
Heading Into The Postseason. Confident Or Concerned?
Wow! I must say, I sure am glad I missed this horrific performance in today's game due to traveling back home after a 10 day vacation. With all these "offensive weapons" we have we scored only 13 points? Are we playoff bound or in deep trouble? I didn't see the game but looking at the stats I see we had 4 turnovers which is nothing new. The key stat which has plagued us all season long. 3 punts? (Average punting yardage 31 yards) 3rd down woes correct? A fumble on the 1 yard line right when we were going to put up 7 points.
If this team continues to shoot themselves in the foot it will be a very short post-season. And for anyone who calls it a meaningless game is crazy! There is no excuse why we can't go into a game and not score 30 plus points. 13 points will not win football games. 305 yards total offense? Heck I remember when we would average 450 plus yards of offense with ease.
Injuries: Jeremy Shockey with a sore groin. Doesn't surprise me. He's always hurt. Pierre Thomas, Jimmy Graham, Malcolm Jenkins, Marques Colston, Alex Brown, Chris Ivory. Will these guys be ready come playoff time?
How did Drew look? He didn't even pass for 200 yds. 3 sacks. Is our offensive line not doing it's job again? Or is he just not on?
I'll close with this: What's happened with our High Powered Offense? If we don't score a lot of points, we're in deep trouble. Just my 2 cents.
The Best NFC Rivalry Part II! Here We Go Again!
Well here we are! Can't believe we're a week away from the Monday night countdown. Heck week 3 seems like yesterday! I realize time really does fly when you turn 40. It's been a crazy yet stressful season. A different season from 2009 for both teams. Falcons have much improved from last season. And a healthy Matt Ryan and Michael Turner has made ya'll incredibly dangerous this season.
At first I thought you guys were getting very lucky breaks. But then I realize, there's no luck about it. Looking at the Data, I notice you very seldom get any penalties, only a couple here and there. Playing with consistency by running the ball very well every game. Matt Ryan completing passes on 3rd down etc. Your offense is not flashy by any means, but it sure has worn opposing defenses down and knows how to move the chains and eat up the clock. And it's finding ways to finish games with a win.
Another thing I notice is: when the other teams makes mistakes, the Falcons capitalize very well. The last game for instance...Saints had 3 costly turnovers and allowed over 200 yards rushing and I think TOP was 40 mins to 20. Yet we still brought that game into OT but fell short. I'm not gonna blame the chip shot for losing that game. (yet was very unfortunate) Field Goal misses happen. We could have won that game yes. Should we have won that game? No, not even close.
The similarities between the Saints and Falcons is: they are both very good teams. Different styles. Saints are flashy like the Air Force and gamblers. Falcons are a grinding team that wears out defenses. Question is: How do we stop your running game?
There's a reason why you're 12-2 and we're 10-4. Saints have shot themselves in the foot by turnovers, mistakes penalties. Falcons have made very minimal mistakes, very few turnovers and penalties.
It will be a wild thrilling match up on Monday night! Hope we can pull off a win, but I know it will be very tough.
Question is: Will there be a Part III deep in the playoffs? Remains to be seen.
Let's have a heck of a great game!
Looking Down The Stretch. The Final Four.
A crazy Sunday indeed! And yet we survived another nail biting win today. The Falcons came from behind after trailing a 10 point deficit and beat the Bucs 28-24. They're 10-2 and they just keep finding ways to win. Amazing we're just a chip shot away from being leader of the NFC and division.
Now looking at the remaining 4 games for the season. The Rams, Ravens, Falcons and Bucs. A very tough stretch down the season. The good news? We play against good teams and not teams that have only won 2 or 3 games all season. Had to throw in a little humor there.
I have some questions and concerns that you guys might be able to answer. Our special teams unit is horrific on both sides of the ball. Where's the coverage/kickoff returns? What's wrong with Roby? He did well last season. This season he hasn't done much. Is that due to coverage or him in general?
3rd down conversions have been kind of up and down. 1-8 today. Not good. 11 penalties for 100 yards. Unacceptable. And #73 Jahri Evans I think had his 8th holding penalty alone this season.
Greer and Porter have been pretty quiet lately. Are they suffering from nagging injuries or just struggling a bit? And what happened to our aggressive pass rush? They're giving the QB way too much time to throw.
They have a lot of mistakes to correct down the stretch and into the post season. We have 2 road games and 2 home games left. And I believe we can finish 13-3 or 12-4. First let's focus on the Rams game next Sunday. They're a much improved team and we can't continue to make mistakes.
We're 9-3, and let's finish strong!
Fire Away!
How Bout Dem Cowboys!!!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!! Well, we won in a thrilling nail biter. We knew it was going to be tough playing a talented team Kept me in the edge of my seat the whole game. I want to thank malcolm Jenkins for the saving strip at the end of the game. This was a very similar game to the Skins game last season.
We gave up a lot of yards on defense, got flat on offense in the second half. Missed opportunities, and a couple of turnovers. Reggie? I know you've been out for 8 weeks but you need to CATCH the ball and PROTECT the ball. Get it together soon hopefully.
And guys, don't be too hard on Graham. He did make some mistakes today, but made a few good ones as well. He's still a Rookie and will be a great tight end for us.
We're 8-3! Wasn't pretty but it's a WIN! On Thanksgiving Day.....against the Cowboys! And I will say this: Remember when "overrated" Roy Williams ran his mouth off a few days before the game? Quoted" "You Might As Well Crown Them Right?" Thank you Roy for crowning us. I believe in karma. All he had to do was hold on to the ball, but our dear friend Malcolm Jenkins saved the day.
We got the win! We're 8-3! And I'll say it again! HOW BOUT DEM COWBOYS!!!!
The Huge Importance Of The Cowboys Game On Turkey Day!
2 more days until we kick off with Dallas. The importance of this game is critical if you ask me. Our offense is clicking again. A couple mistakes and hopefully we will clean those up. We MUST protect the football! Most importantly we must protect "Drew Brees". Last Dec. 19 we got beat pretty bad from the Cowboys and we must take Revenge on Turkey Day!
Beware of Demarcus Ware! The guy that sacked Brees 4 times last season. I believe if the O'Line does it's job protecting the QB, we will win this game. I hope our secondary is ready for defending Miles Austin and Dez Bryant. Hope Jabari has a much improvement from this past Sunday.
On the other note, the Falcons play Green Bay at home this Sunday. This is a great opportunity to be in a tiebreaker with Atlanta, a half a game behind instead of a game and a half.
So! My Fellow Saints Fans! Let's Win this thing and get in playoff mode down the stretch!
GO SAINTS!!!!
