Best part about beating Texas down yesterday, besides the fact that we beat down Texas...the nations Number 1 recruit is now said to be strongly leaning towards Oklahoma now.

He was in the building yesterday to witness that domination and it may have just turned him.

Crimson And Cream Machine Totally Awesome Video of the Week

With it finally being Florida St. week, I thought it would be fun to dip into the depths of YouTube and find a fun video to get us ready for the game on Saturday.

This video comes from that awesome decade known as the 80's and contains some of the absolute worst rapping done by football players ever...except for Primetime's part of course.

So enjoy this laugh at Florida St.'s expense while comparing how well their players rap to ours.

I don't know if you guys remember last year when ESPN did their All Access series with Alabama but it was really cool to get that deep of a look into the preseason preparations.

Well this season it is our turn.

ESPN will air Oklahoma All-Access as two 30-minute episodes Tuesday, Aug. 23, at 7 p.m. ET and 7:30 p.m. In addition, ESPNU will televise four 30-minute original Oklahoma All-Access programs Monday, Aug. 15; Tuesday, Aug. 16; Thursday, Aug. 18; and Friday, Aug. 19, all at 5:30 p.m. A five-part series featuring excerpts from the access will be televised on College Football Live, SportsCenter and additional studio programs August 15-19.

So when you get a chance, set those DVR's for some great insight.

Great news today as All American CB Jamell Fleming was reinstated by the university today and will rejoin the team. Currently he is pegged as the backup CB to Gaby Lynn but who knows how long that will last.

Crimson And Cream Machine Oklahoma's Player Ratings From NCAA 12

Ncaa-fb-12-ps3-demarco-murray-_updated__medium

The long summer waiting for football is going to get a little shorter with the release of everyone's favorite football game next week, NCAA Football 12.

A lot of information has came out about the game so far with only a week to go, but what everyone wants to know are, what are the player ratings?

This video on YouTube gave the rankings for all of the Big 12 teams and instead of making you watch the video, I went through and got all of the player ratings below.

It took overtime to beat North Carolina Central.

Let that sink in for a second.

Needless to say this is going to be a long, long season for our Sooner mens basketball team.

Coach Stoops is adding a fun twist to this years Red/White game.

This year he will take all the Seniors and divide them up and let them draft who they want on their team for the annual Red/White game.

I gotta say I really like this fun twist to the game, now if only we could understand the scoring system.

We all knew we were going to the Sun Bowl and now we have an opponent, Stanford.

We have played two Heisman candidates (Suh & McCoy) so why not take on a third in Toby Gehart.

This should be a very entertaining game and I haven't seen a line yet but I wouldn't be shocked if we opened as a 4 point favorite.

The Big 12's TV schedule came out today and some of the nation will get to see one of the best old school rivalries in all of college football as Oklahoma and Nebraska will play at 7 central on ABC.

Sam Bradford continues to make progress, but not as much as Coach Stoops would have liked, so Landry Jones will get the start on Saturday.

It will be Jones' third straight start filling in for Bradford, but first true road game.

Thank goodness our Defense has been on of the best in the Nation.

It looks like the two game series between us and Florida State just got a whole lot more interesting as it turns out that Florida State's compliance department was the one who asked the NCAA to look deeper into the eligibility of MLB Mike Balogun.

Crimson And Cream Machine Eight Sooners Selected For The Preaseason All-Big 12 Team

via i2.cdn.turner.com

The Preseason All-Big 12 teams were announced today and they have a very strong Oklahoma presence on it. Eight Sooner, led by Preseason Offensive Player of the Year Sam Bradford, made the team while five Oklahoma St. Cowboy's made the team.

The team is also very slanted to the South as 21 of 26 players on the team are from the South division.

In addition to the 8 Sooners and 5 Cowboy's, four players represent Texas, three from Baylor, two from Kansas and Nebraska each and one each from Texas Tech and Missouri.

The full team is after the jump.

Great news out of Norman today as Willie Warren announced via text message that he will indeed come back for another year at OU. He made the right choice and I am not just saying that because I wanted him back for next year, he needs another year at least.

Crimson And Cream Machine Coach Stoops Puts The * To Rest

340x_medium

I was originally going to stay out of all of this Texas 2008* Big 12 Championship stuff because it was last season and really, who cares anymore?

Well I found this story just too funny and pretty much sums up how we all should feel about this.

On Monday Coach Stoops was asked about all the hubbub about the * and what he thinks about it. Well Coach Stoops gave a great one liner that sums up how we all should probably feel about this.

It doesn’t matter to me at all. I know there isn’t one (an asterisk) on ours. I know where the trophy is.

So guys just remember, we know where the trophy is.

Crimson And Cream Machine 1st Annual Crimson & Cream Machine Bracket Contest Update

So the Final Four is set and ready to go. We have a tight race in the 1st Annual Crimson & Cream Machine Bracket contest with a possible Sooner related prize*.

*(Prize is still pending, might just be some respect)

So here are the current standings after the first weekend of action:

Rank Bracket

Points Possible Pts
1 ThunderMav

      93               141
1 ReddirtSooners

      93               141
3 Jubanator14's Bracket

      87               103
4 Bracket 1

      82               130
5 SoonerT

      79                79
6 Alasooner

      76                76
6 SoonersNews

      76                76
8 boomer1

      73                73
9 Redhawk's

      72               120
10 No love for AJ

      66                66

So we have a tie at first place and they both have the same possible point remaining, however; ThunderMav has North Carolina winning it all while ReddirtSooners has UCONN winning it all.

Next Monday we could have a title game of UNC and UCONN which would make for some drama in our challenge. Those two are the only two that have a shot at winning since the rest of us with teams remaining are the same as those two. A Championship matchup of Michigan St and Villanova would produce a tie though.

I will take some suggestions for a prize if there is something you guys think would make for a good prize in the comments. In the mean time, thanks for playing.

Crimson And Cream Machine Selection Sunday Open Thread

Detroitfinal4logo_medium

This is my favorite day of the year besides my birthday and Christmas hands down. All of the craziness that is Championship week finally culminates with Greg Gumble announcing which teams got what seeds and are playing where and then delivering the announcement to those unfortunate teams that have their bubble popped.

I love the excitement you see when they got to the smaller schools live and see all of the players and fan celebrating when they see that they get to be the team that gets beat down by the number 1 seed.

With all that said, here are a few predictions from me about what could happen:

  • North Carolina, Pittsburgh, Louisville, and Memphis will be the number 1 seeds.
  • The Big East will lead the way with 7 teams in but the Big 12 will be second with 6. The Big 10 will end up only getting 5 teams in.
  • Oklahoma will get the toughest and final 2 seed and get to play in Kansas City while Kansas and Missouri get 3 seeds. Texas and Oklahoma St. will be in an 8/9 game while Texas A&M will get a 10 seed.
  • Either Wisconsin or Minnesota will be left out in favor for St. Mary's and the ESPN guys will go completely insane and scream about mid-majors getting in over mediocre major teams.

So here is the spot to join in on the discussion Selection Sunday bracket revealing happenings and to make fun of the ESPN show afterward.

Well this has been a crazy Big 12 tournament so far.

First Texas Tech knocked off Texas A&M behind Mike Singletary's 43 points last night, and now today Baylor knocked off the number 1 seed Kansas. So that leaves the Sooners are the highest remaining seed in the tournament.

This is the third and final Bedlam matchup this season and is probably the most important. They say it is tough to beat a team three times in a season, as Texas A&M found out last night, but if we come out and play our game, we will win this by double digits.

Crimson And Cream Machine Big 12 Conference Tournament Preview

09-hoops-central-hdr-men_medium

(I posted this over at FanIQ but I wanted to share this with you guys too)

The Big 12 might be having a down season this year but they have the defending National Champion in Kansas and the likely National Player of the Year in Blake Griffin. Throw in teams that are playing their best basketball down the stretch like Texas A&M and Oklahoma St., in addition to the crazy hectic style of Missouri and you have what will be one very entertaining tournament.

Not only will the Big 12 Tournament be very entertaining this season, there are also at least six teams playing for NCAA tournament seeding and bids. Oklahoma and Kansas are a Big 12 Championship away from a 1 seed while Missouri is in the running for a 3 or 4 seed. Texas, Texas A&M, and Oklahoma St. are all battling it out to get the best 7-10 seed that they can get while teams like Kansas St. and Nebraska are clinging to outside Tournament possibilities.

The Favorites

#2 Oklahoma - The Sooners have been a #1 seed lock up until recent struggles but in my opinion they are the best team in the conference. They are led by conference player of the year Blake Griffin and conference freshman of the year Willie Warren. The Sooners started out the season 25-1 but a Blake Griffin concussion has had the Sooners semi stumbling to the finish line as they went 2-3 over their last 5 games. The Sooners could have a very tough road to the Conference Championship with possible games against Oklahoma St., Missouri or Texas A&M, then Kansas. If the Sooners win the tournament they will be the final number 1 seed and get to play their 1st and 2nd round games in Kansas City.

#1 Kansas - The Jayhawks won their 5th consecutive regular season championship this past season and 9th in Big 12 history. The Jayhawks have a great inside-outside combo in Sherron Collins who was named first team All Big 12 this week and Cole Aldrich who has been a beast in the middle this season. Freshman Tyshawn Taylor has been up and down all season but has seemed to turn the corner these last 5 games. The Jayhawks have a slightly easier path to the tournament finals with possible games against Nebraska or Baylor, then Kansas St. or Texas in the semifinals. The Jayhawks have an outside chance at a number 1 seed in the Big Dance but a conference tournament championship would lock up a 2 seed and 1st and 2nd round games in Kansas City.

#3 Missouri - The Tigers have had a renaissance this season under Mike Anderson and are just as dangerous Kansas and Oklahoma since they have beaten both this season. The only problem is both wins came in Missouri and the Big 12 Tournament is being played in Oklahoma City. Missouri has All Big 12 first teamer DeMarre Carroll, Big 12 sixth man of the year Matt Lawrence and Big 12 defensive player of the year JT Tiller. Missouri averaged 81 points per game this season and they play Mike Anderson's run and gun style perfectly. Missouri likes to push the ball every chance they get and put some kind of full court ball pressure on their opponent. Missouri could possibly play their way to a 2 seed in the NCAA tournament if they are able to knock off Oklahoma and Kansas in back to back nights.

The Sleepers

#6 Texas A&M - The Aggies have been playing their best basketball of the season here at the end of the year and have won 7 in a row to close it out. Texas A&M has wins over Texas, Missouri, Oklahoma St., and Arizona this season and have all the piecies to put together a run through the Big 12 tournament.

#7 Oklahoma St. - The Cowboys also are playing thier best basketball of the season right now. They have won 6 of their last 7 and are scoring a Big 12 high 82 points per game this season. The Cowboys also play a frantic 4 guard, fire up as many shots as they can kind of style that is hard to prepare for and can wear teams down. If the Cowboys can get their shots to drop, they could make a magical run through the Big 12 tournament.

The Big 12 also did something new this year as they moved their conference tournament up a day so the final is now on Saturday night instead of Sunday right before the Selection Sunday special on CBS. They did that so the Big 12 Champion could get a better look at a better seed since by the time the Big 12 tournament final was finished, the bracket was usually already done.

Wednesday (All times Central and my pick will be bolded)

11:30am: #8 Nebraska vs #9 Baylor
2:00 pm: #5 Texas vs #12 Colorado
6:00 pm: #7 Oklahoma State vs #10 Iowa State
8:30 pm: #6 Texas A&M vs #11 Texas Tech

Thursday - Quarterfinals

11:30 am on ESPN2: #1 Kansas vs #8 Nebraska
2:00 pm: #4 Kansas State vs #5 Texas
6:00 pm: #2 Oklahoma vs #7 Oklahoma St.
8:30 pm on ESPN2: #3 Missouri vs #6 Texas A&M

Friday - Semifinals

6:00 pm: #1 Kansas vs #5 Texas
8:30 pm: #2 Oklahoma vs #3 Missouri

Saturday - Big 12 Title Game

5:00 on ESPN: #1 Kansas vs #2 Oklahoma

That is how I see this Big 12 tournament playing out. Yes I know it looks like a homer pick and Kansas has already beaten Oklahoma this season in Norman but that was without Blake Griffin. A healthy Blake Griffin means too much for Kansas and the Sooners win a classic Big 12 championship game and lock up that final number 1 seed in the Big Dance.

Tonight is Senior night for Missouri which is always makes for a tough environment to play in. Add that to the fact that with a win tonight the Tigers would achieve an unbeaten at home record. Also on the line is the number 2 seed in the Big 12 tournament.

So needless to say this is the biggest game of the year and win would give either team some much needed momentum heading into OKC next week.

Crimson And Cream Machine 3/3 Big 12 Basketball Power Rankings

3c53a30d-26e6-4494-b2fa-17e4543d2a25_medium

Guess what...it is officially March Madness. Two conference tournaments start up today in smaller conferences but the big boys still play through Sunday. With that said, time for the second to last rankings for the season.

  1. Kansas (24-5, 13-1) – The Jayhawks all but locked up their 5th straight regular season Big 12 crown with their beatdown of Missouri. Sherron Collins continues to play like a beast right now and the baby Hawks are all grown up. A win in either of their final two games, at Tech and vs. Texas, will lock up a share of the conference title and win both, they win it outright.
  2. Oklahoma (26-3, 12-2) – The return of Blake Griffin got the Sooners back in the win column. Blake set the school record for rebounds in a season in his return against Texas Tech. The Sooners have a huge matchup Wednesday night at Missouri and after that the Bedlam season finale. A win at Missouri locks up the two seed in the Big 12 tournament and a likely rematch with Missouri in the semifinals.
  3. Missouri (24-5, 11-3) – Missouri had a golden opportunity to get a huge road win on Sunday in Lawrence and they, well, kind of fell flat on their face. Missouri is still having one of their best seasons in a long while and are looking getting a four seed in the tournament.
  4. Texas (20-9, 9-6) –Texas really is a tough team to get a good grip on. One game they look great and then the next they can't seem to figure it out. Their loss at Oklahoma St. last Saturday isn't going to hurt their tournament chances, they are in already, but it really isn't going to help their seed. Right now they are in that 7-9 range which always makes for a tough first and second round matchup.
  5. Oklahoma St. (19-9, 8-6) – Outside of Kansas, Oklahoma St. is the hottest team in the conference right now. They have won five in a row and have two very big games left this season. Tonight they get K-State at home and end their season in Norman. The Cowboys have made the biggest in season transformation of any team. Early on, I thought they would struggle to get to even win 6 conference games and they have now played their way into the Tournament. Three straight losses to end the season could have them back at the NIT though.
  6. Kansas St. (20-9, 8-6) – K-State is an interesting team right now. They are squarely on the bubble right now and need to win out and probably win a game in the Big 12 tournament to feel safe. A win tonight would lock up the 4 seed for K-State and that always helps to get that first round bye.
  7. Texas A&M (21-8, 7-7) – A&M has won four in a row and has a chance to make it five in a row against Colorado. The Aggies have played their way back to the bubble and they get highly ranked Missouri in their season finale. If A&M can finish 9-7 and get a win in the Conference tournament, they will definitely have a great case for one of the last few at-large bids.
  8. Nebraska (16-11, 6-8) – Nebraska had their razor thin tournament hopes dashed when Josh Carter hit a game winning three pointer at the buzzer a week ago. Nebraska has a great chance to close out the season 8-8 in the conference with games against Baylor and Iowa St. left. Nebraska is a NIT team but winning those last two could get them a better seed in the NIT.
  9. Iowa St. (14-15, 3-11) – The Cyclones make their first apperance in the single digits. Last weeks victory over Baylor was one of their biggest of the season and a win in their season finale against Texas Tech would lock up the 10 seed in the conference tournament and maybe even give them a shot at an upset in the Big 12 tournament.
  10. Baylor (17-12, 5-10) – The Bears are easily the most disappointing team in the league this year. All of the preseason hype that this might be the year that Baylor breaks through didn't come anywhere close to furition. Baylor's big problem is they play no defense. They are more talented on offense this year but without defense you won't win too many games in the Big 12.
  11. Texas Tech (12-17, 2-12) – Texas Tech may have lost both games last week but they lost to Texas by 6 points at Texas. That is the kind of thing to build on for next year because the only thing Tech has to play for the rest of the year is the season finale against Iowa St. for the 10 seed in the conference tournament.
  12. Colorado (9-19, 1-13) – Jeff Bzdelik's first season as the Buff's coach has not been one to remember. Colorado has struggeled pretty much all season and with only two games left, including the conference tournament, the Buff's have nothing left to play for.

Big games this week:

  • Tuesday: Kansas St. at Oklahoma St. 6:30pm on ESPN2
  • Wednesday: #5 Oklahoma at #12 Missouri 8:00pm on Big 12 Network
  • Saturday: Texas Tech at Iowa St. 12:45pm; #12 Missouri at Texas A&M 1:00pm on ESPN2; Oklahoma St. at #5 Oklahoma 2:30pm on ABC; Texas at #9 Kansas 3:00pm on CBS

So there are the rankings for the last week of the regular season.

Crimson And Cream Machine 2/24 Big 12 Basketball Power Rankings

    3d5fa217-17f0-486d-9820-893854ab504b_medium

Well we have our first major shake up in the power rankings this week as OU has dropped their last two minus Blake Griffin. Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma St. are surging while Baylor and Nebraska are done for. So lets get to it

    1. Kansas (23-5, 12-1) – The Jayhawks become the first time other than Oklahoma to claim the top spot in the rankings. KU took care of business last week with their wins over Nebraska and Iowa St. but last night's victory over Oklahoma is what sealed the top spot for them. Kansas won the first leg of the Big 12 round robin with OU and Mizzou. A win in Sunday's game versus Missouri all but seals up the regular season crown for Kansas.
    2. Oklahoma (25-3, 11-2) – Two tough losses last week have dropped the Sooners to number 2. Yes, Blake Griffin got knocked out of the Texas game and didn't play versus Kansas but the guards, especially Willie Warren, stepped up their game to show not only the rest of the Big 12 but the rest of the nation that Oklahoma isn't just Blake Griffin.
    3. Missouri (23-4, 10-2) – The Tigers only problem was that they didn't play anyone of note last week. Missouri is still one of the hottest teams in the nation as they have shot up all the way to #8 in the rankings. Missouri gets their shot to move up to #1 in my rankings with their next to games being at Kansas and vs. Oklahoma. If Missouri can win those games, they will not only take over the top spot here but could lock up their first Big 12 regular season crown.
    4. Kansas St. (19-8, 7-5) – Kansas St. has won 8 of 9 and have a great shot of finishing 10-6 in the conference if they can win 3 of their last 4. They have a great shot for another quality win as they travel to Missouri on Wednesday. Win there and K-State can punch their ticket to the big dance, even though I think they are in right now.
    5. Texas (18-8, 7-5) – The Longhorns badly needed a win to get out of their current funk and their win over Oklahoma on Saturday night may have given them the shot in the arm they need. Texas has three very winnable games upcoming before their season ending trip to Kansas. Texas is now playing for a better seed as many projections have them as a 6 or 7 seed.
    6. Oklahoma St. (17-9, 6-6) – The Cowboys have shown some life in winning three in a row and have a very outside shot at getting to the Big Dance. Oklahoma St. has a winnable game at Colorado but then three tough games against K-State, Texas, and Oklahoma. If the Cowboys could somehow split their final four game and win a game in the Big 12 tournament, they could sneak into the NCAA Tournament.
    7. Texas A&M (19-8, 5-7) – The Aggies are clinging to NCAA hopes behind a fairly strong resume. Their only problem is they have struggled in the somewhat down Big 12 this year. The Aggies have a great shot to to get to 8-8 in the conference and that starts with an elimination game tonight against Nebraska. If Texas A&M can get the win in Lincoln tonight it would give them their first road win in 2009.
    8. Nebraska (16-9, 6-6) – The Huskers have have won 4 of 6 and could really help their thin tournament hopes with a win tonight against Texas A&M. Nebraska is currently sitting at #7 in the conference and have a great shot to finish 3-1 in their final four games if they can get some bounces. If they do that and win a Big 12 tournament game, they would put themselves in great position to have their bubble not pop on Selection Sunday.
    9. Baylor (16-10, 4-8) – Baylor has had a disaster of a season. The Bears were everyone's sleeper pick to get a first round bye in the Big 12 tournament and have instead completely fallen off the map. The Bears can safe some face and get an NIT bid if they can win 3 of their remaining 4 which is doable. If they split their last four games though, Baylor's slim postseason hopes will be over.
    10. Iowa St. (13-14, 2-10) – It is a shame that Iowa St. isn't very good this season because Craig Brackins is a stud. Brackins is an All-Big 12 caliber player but his supporting cast never seems to consistently step up to give him the support to get Iowa St. over the hump.
    11. Colorado (9-17, 1-11) – That's right, Colorado isn't in last. The Buffs are the only team in the Big 12 without double digit wins but they are the best 9-17 team I've ever seen. The play hard and they have a very good player in Cory Higgins. I don't see a game where Colorado can get that 10th win but they will no doubt give the remaining four teams they play a very tough time.
    12. Texas Tech (12-15, 2-10) – Lubbock is the hub for all things crazy in the Big 12 right now. First this year Pat Knight went crazy and ran on the court during a game against Nebraska, then the Mike Leach soap opera gave everyone a distraction from the awful basketball team, and now Pat Knight has been suspended a game by the Big 12 for his post game comments about the officiating. The Apple certainly didn't fall far from the Knight tree.

    Big Games This Week

    • Tuesday: Texas A&M at Nebraska 8:30pm on ESPN2
    • Wednesday: Kansas St. at #8 Missouri 8:00pm on ESPNU
    • Saturday: #24 Texas at Oklahoma St. 5:00pm on ESPN, Nebraska at Kansas St. 7:00pm
    • Sunday: #8 Missouri at #15 Kansas 1:00pm on CBS

A lot of things can happen with only 15 Days until the Big 12 Tournament tips off in Oklahoma City and 19 days until Selection Sunday but for now, there are the rankings.

Sort of good news, the MRI today was clear for Blake but his status for Monday is still in the air. He will be reevaluated come Monday and we can all keep our fingers crossed that he will be cleared to play.

Coach Capel has now doubled the amount of McDonald's AA's to sign with OU after Tommy Mason-Griffin and Keith Gallon were named McDonald's AA's tonight. In three season, Coach Capel has brought in 4 McDonald's AA's.

We are a mere 27 days away from selection Sunday and most Big 12 teams know where they sit in regards to the tournament. As it stands now it looks like the Big 12 will get 5, maybe 6 teams tops in the Big Dance.

    1. Oklahoma (25-1, 11-0) – Two wins last week gave Oklahoma their best conference start since 1985 and get a whole week off to get ready for games at Texas (Sat) and home for Kansas (Mon). The only team to run the table in Big 12 was the 2002 Kansas Jayhawks and the Sooners are good enough to join that company.
    2. Missouri (22-4, 9-2) – After weeks of sitting at number 3, the Tigers move up to the 2 spot with their huge Big Monday win over Kansas. Zaire Taylor made a name for himself last week and the Missouri fans showed their love for him. The Tigers get Oklahoma at home so they still have a decent shot at sharing the Big 12 title.
    3. Kansas (20-5, 9-1) – The Jayhawks had a "tough" week by their standards when the not only dropped their first game but dropping it to their hated rival Missouri makes that first conference loss sting that much more. Kansas has two warm up games against Iowa St and Nebraska before their huge Big Monday match up in Norman next week.
    4. Kansas St. (17-8, 6-5) – The Wildcats had their 6 game winning streak snapped by the Jayhawks on Saturday but they remain one of the hottest teams in the nation. K-State has 6 games left and they should win all but one of them and could very well finish with a 10-6 conference record.
    5. Texas (17-7, 6-4) – Texas has won two in a row after their rough three game losing streak. The Longhorns have a pretty big game tonight at A&M before the even bigger home game on Saturday night on ESPN against Oklahoma. If Texas can somehow win both games this week they will be right back in the thick of the race for a top 5 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
    6. Nebraska (15-8, 5-5) – Nebraska had their three game winning streak snapped in Missouri on Saturday but they were going to have a tough time winning that game anyway. The Huskers have a very manageable schedule left and could finish 8-8 in the conference, which I think most all Husker fans would have taken before the season.
    7. Baylor (16-9, 4-7) – The Bears kept their very, very slim NCAA Tournament bid hopes alive with the win over Texas A&M over the weekend to give them their first win in almost a month. The Bears have five games remaining in their season and if they can sweep those and get to 9-7 in the conference, they could sneak in the tournament.
    8. Texas A&M (17-8, 3-7) – The Aggies tournament bubble has burst with the loss to Baylor. The Aggies have lost 6 of 8 and they have no standout victories. They have yet to win a road game in conference and have only won 2 road games overall. The Aggies will be NIT bound unless they just pack it in the rest of the season.
    9. Oklahoma St. (15-9, 4-6) – Travis Ford's first season in Stillwater has been a tough one. The fans in Stillwater have unrealistic expectations for their team and they just aren't that good. The Cowboys have the least impressive 15-9 record ever. They have beaten noone. The Cowboys need to win 4 of their last 6 to even think about getting an NIT bit.
    10. Iowa St. (13-12, 2-8) – Iowa St. avenged their loss to Colorado by blowing the out last week. The Cyclones still aren't a great team but they play teams tough at Hilton. Iowa St. has a shot at maybe two more wins if they can get some more Hilton Magic.
    11. Texas Tech (12-13, 2-8) – Texas Tech hung tough with OU for about 10 minutes of the first half, but then the talent gap really started to show. Tech doesn't have the players to compete at a half level and are now an under .500 team for the first time since 2002.
    12. Colorado (9-15, 1-9) – The Buffs have struggled to get wins this year but they have been competitive. They took Texas to overtime, lost to Oklahoma and Kansas on the road by only 5 points each, they just can't seem to get over that hump against the lesser teams though.

Big Games this Week (very slow week):

    • Big Monday: Texas at Texas A&M 8:00pm on ESPN
    • Saturday: #2 Oklahoma at Texas 8:00pm on ESPN

So there you have, another week, another set of rankings. Do yours differ from mine?

Crimson And Cream Machine Juan Pattillo's Huge Dunk Versus Baylor

Juan Pattillo has been a very pleasant surprise this season since he "joined" the team prior to the Texas game. His energy and athleticism off the bench has pushed the Sooners to another level and gives them some much needed depth.

Juan's athleticism was on display in full force last night on this dunk against Baylor last night giving the Sooners is the second straight game with a ridiculous windmill dunk in the game:

With that said, I pose this question to you. Who had the better windmill dunk, Juan Patillo or Blake Griffin?
