This analysis breaks down how many wins an offense would have if paired with average defense and special teams.

The idea is that if you combine Manning and the offense with an average defense every year, how many wins would he get.

The difference between Indianapolis and the rest of the league is staggering. A Manning-led teams combines for 36.2 "extra" wins or about 4 extra wins per season that is, a 12-4 record on average. No one comes even close to this figure. Denver in second place has 15.8 extra wins during the period -  equivalent of a 10-6 record on average.
