Talking Chop Put X over Swisher

As you might have notice by the name I am a newbie to the blog world. Before all you veterans start ripping me a new one, please hear me out. I am a long time Braves fan who lives in San Diego. Living here I got to watch X come up through the Padres system and was disappointed (but not surprised) when they decided to trade him to the Mets.

Now I understand that Nady is not a switch-hitting power bug like Swisher, or a 450 foot hitting launchpad like Dunn, but he may be the most well rounded and reliable player of the three. Although he did hit 25HR had 97RBI between NY and Pittsburgh last year, he does lack the power of the other two, but what he lacks in power he definitely makes up in average. With a lifetime .280 clip he makes Swisher's .244 and Dunn's .247 laughable.

As far as in the field, in 2008 Nady shined while playing RF/LF for Pittsburgh and NY. In 142 games he had 12 assists and 4 errors. Swisher on the other hand in 106 games in the outfield had 3 assists and 5 errors. Swisher, only because of less play, had a better FPCT at .970 to Nady's .947. Nady has also shown he is very competent at first base.

I also am completely aware of the fact that Nady will be a free-agent at the end of the year and has a gold-digger for an agent, but we can't let that stop us from making the best decision. As long as the trade does not include any of   "The Untouchables".
