Just how simple is Doug Marrone's playbook?

EJ Manuel told the press last week that he thought that Florida State's offense was more complex than the current offense being installed by new Bills coaches Doug Marrone and Nathaniel Hackett. This statement was criticized by the national media and definitely caught the attention of fans on Buffalo Rumblings. This might be making a whole lot out of nothing, but could Marrone's successful college offense in fact be too simplistic for today's NFL? I stumbled across this link to an interview with former Syracuse and current New York Giant OL Justin Pugh. On his adjustment to the NFL: "It's the sheer volume of plays. We tried to simplify things when we were at Syracuse. You master a few plays against a couple looks.". And asked about Syracuse's 'pro-style' offense: "My first two years, he did the same thing we did here: put in a lot of plays. But it was hard for the young guys to learn. So last year we went no-huddle -- we probably had about 15 plays we ran all year." What say you Bills fans?
