Arrowhead Pride Finally Going to Arrowhead

So I have been a Chiefs fan since the days of Montana and I have made a point to watch every game I possibly could since then. I have always wanted to go to a game at Arrowhead and feel what it was like. So last night as a gift to myself for my 30th birthday I booked a trip to MO and i will be going to the last pre-season game Vs. Green Bay. I wish it could have been a regular season game but that is the only time I could go. I am so excited to see the new Arrowhead and experience a game first hand. I even ordered an Eric Berry jersey that will hopefully be here in time for me to wear it.

I just wanted to know if anyone had any advice on when to show up, where to park, or anything I should know or want to see while i'm there. Also, is there any good time/place to try to get an autograph or two before/after the game. Thanks in advance....I hope it lives up to my expectations.

Arrowhead Pride If I were Pioli for a (Draft) Day

Here I am in my second draft as a GM of a team who has won 4 or less games 3 years straight. The franchise has hit a historic low and I need to turn this around now. I need to generate excitement in this team and not only fill the seats, but start a new era for Chiefs football. I personally want to go back to the glory days where Arrowhead was a place other teams did not want to play, where the defense was dominant and the crowd deafening. We have a QB who can manage the game, not sling it around the field, but manage. I am wanting to build a team around defense (think Baltimore Ravens)

Pioli came to Kansas City and quickly unveiled the biggest ego in professional sports, earning him the nickname Scott Egoli.

really? Has anyone other than this jackoff called him Scott Egoli?

Although Vick must obviously still fine tune his passing skills before being trusted to play for a significant amount of time, the Chiefs couldn’t be a more perfect opponent to do so. They have one of the league’s worst defensive units, and are rarely able to record a turnover.

Arrowhead Pride Authentic 1996 Derrick Thomas Pro Bowl Jersey

First off I hope i'm not breaking any rules by posting this, and NO it is not me selling it. That said i just found an Authentic (or so it would seem) 1996 DT Pro Bowl jersey on ebay...currently at around $38 but sure to go up. I am just posting this here because i am sure it would make a nice collectable for someone here. If I had the money I would scoop it up in a heartbeat.

It was just something that I would like in my collection personally so i figure some of you may be interested. Again sorry if I am not allowed to post this. i won't post a link unless its ok.

The Kansas City Chiefs have hired Todd Haley to take over the reins as their new coach. The move will make Dwayne Bowe and even more attractive option in fantasy football.

Arrowhead Pride Is anyone else liking this?

After the season ended I was really discouraged about the short term future of this franchise. Then Peterson resigned and we waited forever to figure out who the new GM would be. When Pioli was announced I got a new sense of enthusiasm about the teams future. We had just signed the top GM prospect.

Then came the seemingly neverending wait for the HC decision...and Herm was fired. Then comes the Superbowl and we still have no HC and it was driving me nuts. I didn't know what we were going to do and started to think we were running out of options.

Today Haley is announced and we now have 2 very bright people in out top 2 positions.

Anyways, I am rambling but after seeing the job Clark Hunt has done with his first 2 selections I am probably more excited than i have ever been during the offseason. I am loving the fact that people are writing articles saying "with Pioli and Haley and 45 mil salary cap room KC is suddenly looking scary".

I just want to know if everyone is as excited and optomistic as I am about the next few years in KC. With a new stadium and a change in leadership and what I feel will be a huge offseason for us, the sky's the limit. I really feel that we can be a strong playoff team very soon. Things are looking up.....way up for the Chiefs.

EDIT: Damn I almost forgot DT was also voted to the Hall of Fame finally. Another positive for us this offseason.

Arrowhead Pride The Chiefs will have an easier time trading the #3 pick...

If Crabtree has a monster combine. I think that everyone has seen what he can do on the field and is already high on him. He is easily a top 3-4 pick already. If he can put up solid numbers at the gombine and have a strong pro-day it would only benefit KC. HE WILL NOT GET PAST Seattle at number 4. If he can up his value even more than it is already teams will be jumping at the chance o grab him before seattle can. i hope this happens. Hell even worse case we tell Seattle if we can't find a trade partner we are gong to pick him. Maybe we can trade down 1 spot and pick up an extra 3rd round pick or something.

Arrowhead Pride Thank you Gunther

We all know it was time for Gunther Cunningham to go, but I wanted to say a little bit about what he has meant to the Chiefs. He was always passionate about the Chiefs and the game of football. He took some great players and made them even better (DT) and gave us some of the best defenses in the NFL. I think he just got a little too set in his ways and it was just time for a change. I do not look back on his time here with any ill feelings at all. I wish him well in his new job in Detroit and hope that he can regain his status as a top DC in the NFL. He deserves some respect even if he had a few bad years here. So once again Thank You Gunther and good luck!

Arrowhead Pride Colquitt?

What has happened to Colquitt? He was one of the best punters in the league prioe to his injury. he comes back last week and I have not seen 1 decent punt since then. Every punt today was horrible and probably cost us a few points. I am just sitting here wondering if he is still injured more than we think. Either that or he is just rusty. Not sure what to think about it, he used to be a huge weapon for us.

Arrowhead Pride Chiefs end the season 8-8

Looking at the schedule it seams feasable that if the Chiefs continue to play better each week they could go 8-8. Not very likely but it is possible. With 3 gamed against division opponents who are all having bad seasons and a few sub .500 teams I say we win at least 5 out of the next 8. If some guys get healthy and LJ comes and plays like LJ we have a serious shot to win some games down the stretch. What do you guys think the odds are that we win all 8? Wouldn't that be a turnaround HA. call me an optomist , but you heard it here first, Chiefs finish the season 8-8.

Arrowhead Pride Give Herm a break

Ok I have sat here and watched everyone on this forum berade herm for the past few weeks. These are the same fans who claimed they were in agreeance with the rebuild and that they knew it was going to be a tough season. now when the ugly part of the rebuild rears its head everyione goes postal and blames Herm.

Take a minute to look at what he has had to work with. Croyle goes out halfway through the opening game and we have had to play the QB carousel for every game since. I think today was the first game we had the same QB stay in the entire game. We haev so many rookies and inexperienced players that you have to know this is going to happen. You cannot blame herm because his QB can't stay healthy and Huard is just horrible at his age.

I for one am seeing good signs from this team. They still can't stop the run but they are gettig better. Herm will get them on track and mark my words next year they will be much better and eveyone will be praising him. Let the season finish and see what transpires before you all shout "fire Herm" less than halfway through a truly rebuilding season.
