Giants not resting their starters?

It says that Coughlin will not rest his starters and play it like a normal game. That's good news to me. I wanted both Miami to win a game and have the Patriots lose. One down, one to go.

However, even if not resting players, it will still be tough for Giants to win. Patriots are going all out. There are TD records for Randy and Brady that they want to achieve. My hope is Brady gets hurt (nothing serious but maybe twisted ankle) and the Giants win. Maybe the Giants will play the disrespected angle:

All of this is just hope on my part though. After the season we've had, it's the little things that keep me going!

Miami Herald says Beck

Beck starter?

They say it's Beck who starts. I guess we will have to wait until this afternoon. But, I'll be happy if it is Beck. We all want to see what he can do. Lemon is not good enough and if Cam can't see that after the Bills game, he never will.

I just want to know for sure! I wish they would move up the press conference or something.

New way to watch games

For those fans who don't get the Miami game on TV

Living in the midwest, I rarely get Fins game on TV. I don't have NFL Sunday Ticket either. I am stuck following on ESPN or SI. I found a way to watch dolphins' games free online. It's called P2PTV. It works like bittorrent or kazaa. I've never heard of it until last week. Someone posted it in the comments on the Miami Herald's website.

I was able to watch the giants game. It's just like watching on TV. You get all the commercials and halftime report. I wanted more fans to know about it so they can watch.

You download a P2PTV program (www.sopcast.org/) and then go to this link:

Find the game you want and you're ready to go. Now, it's not perfect. It can lag at times. But, the more people who watch, the better the video feed. You also can't pause, rewind, etc either. Still, it will be nice to see Beck's first start on November 11th ;)

It shows in very clear terms why the Dolphins have not succeeded...horrible drafts. Jamar Fletcher over Drew Brees when we already had Madison AND Surtain. Wanny kept making excuses that having a third CB was important. Still makes me angry to this day. Oh! And Eddie Moore over Boldin. John Avery over Randy Moss. Those are the immediate ones that come to mind.

Jets fan makes accusation

Basically, a Jets fan is accusing the Dolphins of spying on Jets practices. The "spy" blended in by wearing a Jets hat and jersey. Then, according to the article,

"The fan followed him out to the parking lot. What he saw next stunned him: When the spy got to his car, he pulled off his Jets shirt and threw it in a trash can, along with the cap."

But, the article misses the obvious explanation. That a Jets fan watched the practice, realized his team sucks, and threw the stuff away in disgust.

What he had to say about the offense

Saw this on Phin Phanatic who got it from the Miami Herald

Here are Dan's comments:

"You look at what they have talent-wise offensively -- it's not the San Diego Chargers. If you're a Dolphin fan, you're going to have to be patient because it may take a little while for them to get the system, to get the playmakers going. . . .

"Trent Green is going to be playing with maybe a less-talented group [than in Kansas City], so that's going to be tough on him. When you get to 37, 38, you might not be able to throw it as well as you have, so you need a group around you that will help you succeed. So that might be a little bit of a struggle early on, especially."

I agree the offense will probably struggle early on. Luckily, our schedule is not that difficult the first 5-6 weeks. Hopefully, the offense can work out the kinks early to be ready for the stretch run.

More Practice Squad Players

Adding to it

The Dolphins added three more players to the practice squad: Kerry Reed (yes!), Tala Esera (ok), and Chandler Williams (who?).

That makes eight players on the squad and leaves a spot for one more because WR Marvin Allen doesn't count toward the limit. The others being TE Aaron Halterman, OG Marquay Love, S Tuff Harris, and OT Julius Wilson.

I am so ready for Sunday. I can't wait to talk about an actual game!

One surprising cut....

Roster for now

The big surprise is FB Cory Schlesinger being cut. I thought he was going to be the starting FB. It looks like they kept Cobbs and Mauia over him.

Hakim being cut didn't surprise me. He was non-existent during the preseason. I'm happy Reed made the team.

I think there are 13 rookies on this team. All 10 draft picks plus 3 college free agents.

Then again, depending on who other teams cut, we might lose a player or two to make room for them. Here is Sun Sentinel blog about some possible pickups.

I would have liked to see him on the team. But, the chances were slim he would be traded to us. You had to hope that the Jets waived him. In any case, lets hope Drew Mormino or Chris Liwienski steps up in the LG spot.
