CelticsBlog Bringing back Perkins?

So I was reading Hollinger's Chat Wrap over at ESPN, and this question came up:

Royce (Oklahoma City)

Harden or Ibaka? Can OKC keep both? If not whoes the better fit with KD and Westbrook?

John Hollinger

(12:15 PM)

they can keep both but they're probably going to have to amnesty Perkins to do it. Based on his play this year that seems like a win-win. If I had to choose one, though, I'd go with Harden. And if I run another team I absolutely positively offer him a max offer sheet if and when he hits free agency.

CelticsBlog I found this to be a little shocking...

I was just over on ESPN, and the site currently has a SportsNation poll up asking "Do you care if the NBA season starts on time?" Currently, with over 50,000 people voting, 74% say they don't care. That's a huge number! 71% of people in Massachusetts don't care. 69% in California. 72% in Texas, home of the reigning champions. How can that many people, on a site devoted entirely to sports and visited entirely by sports fans, not care if the season starts on time? Do that few people actually care about basketball, or are people just so engrossed in football at the moment that they haven't begun to think about what would happen to the NBA?

CelticsBlog Eye Witness Account of Rondo in Action

Promoted FanPost

The crowd from the outset was electric. For those who have never been to legendary Rupp Arena in Lexington, KY, it can be a terrifying place for opposing teams. And tonight was no exception. Twenty-five thousand fans gathered into an arena to cheer on eight former players in a meaningless exhibition game. Rajon Rondo among them.

It was a see of blue as always. Except tonight there was speckles of unfamiliar colors. None of the Kentucky Pros had played for the university in at least a year. For Nazr Mohammed, it had been over a decade. For Rondo, five years away in Boston. There were few Wizards jerseys floating around for John Wall. One purple Kings jersey for Big Cuz. And a singular Tayshaun Prince Pistons jersey from my observations. But of the foreign colors, the most popular undoubtedly was Celtic green, and Rondo's #9 on the back. This came as no surprise to me, as the University of Kentucky and the Boston Celtics have always had a strong connection, going all the way back to former Wildcat and Celtic great, Frank Ramsey.
