Some interesting data...

If you go to the Expenses and Revenue section, there is a break down by sport (it may take a few seconds to load).
Definitely shows how important it is for football to get back on track. Also shows a great ability by our accountants to fudge the numbers so we break exactly even. I wouldve never guessed that g-rob's last year at the helm brought in more revenue that the whole basketball season.
To my fellow SU fans
I know its been a tough week, but listen, f*ck Mike Williams. We offered the kid a full scholarship to a fairly high quality, nationally known university, all he had to do was play football (a game which I imagine he would tell you that he "loves") and stay out of trouble. If he isnt capable of doing that, then he can stick it. I root for Syracuse, I dont root for Mike Williams. If he leaves, then he can join all the kids that quit the football team this summer, and the likes of Josh Wright, Mike Jones, and Lou McCroskey. Ever heard of any of them again? Didnt think so. I'd rather field a team of 11 guys who want to play football for Syracuse and who are commited to playing hard and keeping their lives in order, then a team of 10 guys like that and one jackoff, even if that jackoff has NFL talent. I hope the team rallies around this, and plays well this week against Pitt. We've got other WR's, and we've got a couple RB's too, we've even got 2 QB's. So we dont need him. We'll field a team this week, and they will play hard, because thats what theyve done all year, unlike years passed. And you should be rooting for them too. Its easy to be a basketball fan for Syracuse, they dont need you. You just show up watch us whoop on some sh*tty team, occasionally watch us blow it to a good team, woohoo, we won, game over. Go grab your free taco if we scored over 75 points. The dome is packed, everyone cheers, its fun, its cool, whatever. Football needs you, football needs everyone. Its more rewarding to be a football fan because your back is against the wall, nobody expects us to win. Every person makes a difference. Do you really think a high caliber football recruit will want to go to a school where 90% of the student body says "oh well, f*ck it. at least b-ball is starting" after we lose to the number five team in the country? A game in which we shouldve been murdered, which we actually made close? How good does it look when we boo our starting QB? We've got three winnable games left on our schedule, every team we lost to except for one (Minnesota) has been ranked at some point this season.
Footballl needs some real fans, and if you quit on them, then you are no better than Mike Williams.
KaiserKyle's (joke) entry
I decided to make a mockery of your contest and make the ugliest uniforms I could. Perhaps Nike will see this and offer me a job.
First, we have our standard home uni. I took my inspiration from the basketball jerseys for both the numbers and the pants.
Next, we have our alternate jerseys. Everybody likes a good throwback, right? Well lets throw it WAY back, with some rose pinks and pea greens. Saltine Warrior pride!
Interview with new BE Commish
Among other interesting tidbits:
"SI.com: Interestingly, the one football team that hasn't contended for the title during that time is arguably your most prestigious program, Syracuse.
Marinatto: Syracuse is getting it together again. I'm confident in their success moving forward, but the good news is we didn't rely on Syracuse alone [to maintain BCS status]. West Virginia, Louisville and Cincinnati have been able to pick up the slack. But obviously, we look forward to them turning the corner, because as a conference we really need Syracuse to be successful."
