Mile High Report Broncos Wednesday OTA Tweets

Since the Organized Team Activities (OTAs) for the Denver Broncos are closed to the public, we have to rely on the good graces of beat writers like Lindsay Jones from the Denver Post to keep us abreast of the current happenings in Dove Valley. The good news is, Lindsay likes to use Twitter to help us stay informed. I know there are plenty of members here on MHR who don't have access to Twitter for many reasons. So I thought I would help you out. Enjoy!

Mile High Report 2012 MHR T-Shirt Designs Needed

239lbs_medium

Photo of the Kaptain, by the Kaptain

As you may have noticed, MHR hasn't updated the Training Camp Tees available in the lower left hand side of the Front Page. The way I see it, two years is a long enough wait for new threads. So with that in mind, I thought I'd call upon the membership to design the logo on the next series of MHR T-shirts.

The one I am modeling above is from 2009 (The picture is outdated too, since I am about 20 lbs. lighter and no longer on the oxygen).

I know there are some creative people that come to MHR on a daily basis, so get your game on and help us out. You can link your offering(s) through my e-mail (kaptainkirk62@yahoo.com) or show them off in the comments. Submit as many as you like.

Note: Make sure your design does not infringe on the Denver Broncos trademark or NFL properties. Those that do will not be considered.

And the submissions don't need to be limited to Training Camp either.

Go Broncos!

Mile High Report Horse Whisperings - Replacement Refs

Welcome to the lull in what was once a year-round NFL season. After the current CBA was signed last August, a hole was created in the Broncos offseason schedule, and we are stuck right in the middle of it. Here in Broncos Country, we don’t shut our doors and every weekend is a good excuse for a barbeque though and Memorial Day weekend is the opening of barbeque season in Colorado. But I didn’t intend to talk about food this evening. A few things came across the wire this afternoon so I figured it was time for another Whispering post.

Mile High Report NFL - NFLPA Need to Study For HgH Test

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell (L) and NFLPA Executive Director Demaurice Smith sign the NFL's new 10-year Collective Bargaining Agreement at the Pro Football Hall of Fame August 5, 2011 in Canton, Ohio. (Photo by Jason Miller/Getty Images)

When the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the NFL and it’s Players Union was ratified last August, officially ending a 4-1/12 Month Lockout, both sides were in accord for the testing of Human Growth Hormone (HgH) in the players.
The first snag that developed after, was whether an effective test could be done. The NFLPA said that the Players would subject to a Urine test, but that wasn’t good enough. The World Anti Doping Agency (WADA), which oversees the testing of Olympic Athletes claimed the only effective test administered is a blood test. The NFLPA argued that it was too invasive, which made the players appear to be sissies. After another round of discussion, that barrier was knocked down and it was made part of the CBA.
