UPON FURTHER REVIEW - The Chiefs
* Upon Further Review is brought to you by the team of Boydy, Broncofan91, Bshrout and Kaptain Kirk.
Kansas City is a team in turmoil. They have a new Head Coach and staff, a new system with a new QB, and they have been beset with injuries. It could be their biggest problem is "too many Chiefs and not enough Indians." However, a recent Powwow has brought about the beginnings of a winning streak. Is it all just a Ghost dance? Let's find out UPON FURTHER REVIEW.

The NFL Pension and Disability Plan
In the mid-1950s, the NFL Players Association began to consider the question of insurance, pension and disability benefits. The owners resisted, but in response to the NFLPA’s threat to sue the league on anti-trust laws, they eventually established medical and life insurance and retirement plans beginning in 1959. The original retirement plan went in to effect in 1961 and has covered every eligible player from 1920 on. To be eligible, a player only has to play 3 seasons after 1992, or 4 seasons before 1992. It also included players on the active roster for 3 games or on the IR. The name for it was The Bert Bell Plan. Later on, it merged with The Pete Rozelle NFL Retirement Plan. There are other benefits for disability for those whose injuries forced immediate retirement. Two years ago, an addition known as "The 88 Plan" was created, to aid retirees with brain-related injuries with additional medical coverage.

UPON FURTHER REVIEW-Scouting the Giants
Happy Thanksgiving all. The Broncos are having the New York Giants for Dinner guests. This being a short week and a Holiday week as well, the Upon Further Review team decided to take a look at the last two games of our upcoming opponent. Two weeks ago, the Giants were beaten by the Chargers. Since Pablo (Broncofan91) already did that in our last post here, we will move on to their latest game.

Another Loss-Whatcha Gonna Do
Dag Nabit! Just when things were looking all Orangey, our beloved team starts a losing streak and we see the Blues emerge into the picture. Obviously Simms is not the answer. I would expect his comeback attempt has a term limit. The penalties looked like we fielded a raider team today. At least our boys didn't give up. It appeared that BMarsh is pretty tired of Knowshon fumbling the ball. He wasn't too happy with where a gimpy Orton was putting the ball either. Speaking of happy, did you see McDaniels dropping F-Bombs in his microphone? I'd like to be a fly on the wall during meetings tomorrow.

UPON FURTHER REVIEW - The Chargers Part 2
Note: Upon Further Review is brought to you by Boydy, Bshrout, Broncofan91, and KaptainKirk. It is a Scouting report on the 4 most recent games of the upcoming Broncos opponents. Four sets of eyeballs will give you a focused idea as to the happenings of the weekly enemy team. Enjoy!
Once again the Broncos meet the Chargers, this time at home. Things have changed, the world has turned, and last years mediocrity has turned into this years promise. Don’t look now, but after another slow start the Bolts have won 4 in a row and stand tied with the Broncos for the Division lead. the Broncos have lost their last 3 games and know this game is the key matchup of the season. The winner will be sitting pretty to claim a playoff berth. It's kind of amazing that the Chargers are 6-3 and surging with the league's worst running game. Scouting the Chargers Weeks 1-4 can be found here.
Due to technical difficulties, Boydy was listed as Inactive for this game.

UPON FURTHER REVIEW - Scouting The Redskins
It's Redskins week boys and girls, and that means that the "Upon Further Review" group will be looking at what's happening with the team from our Nation's Capitol for the last 5 weeks. Once again this is brought to you by the efforts of Boydy, Bshrout, Broncofan91, and Kaptain Kirk. Read on and see what we've discovered.
Where to start with the rapidly falling Redskins. They are playing sloppy football. All year long, points have been left on the field and points have been given away to the opposition, and the Injury Bug has infected the team.
