Bandwagon Fans
Hey guys, I've been wondering how you feel about bandwagon fans. I joined this site earlier this year, but found it last year. I was amazed by how passionate and funny everyone was about their San Francisco giants. However, I didn't participate last year because I didn't want to be called a bandwagon fan because the giants last year were finally almost in the postseason. A couple months ago however, I couldn't resist commenting and/or posting here. October 3rd, the giants made the playoffs, and now, they are in the world series. My facebook newsfeed is being filled with giants scores and hoorays from people who would never watch baseball (and probably still just only look at the scores so they can update their status). I mean, i appreciate the support, but they haven't felt the pain and TORTURE we've felt since April. I feel like we're turning into the Lakers. What do you guys think?
LOLespn analysts! I forgot Roy Oswalt pitched the 9th inning of game 5. I thought it was Brad Lidge! Wow, I'm losing my memory! C'mon ESPN, might as well hire me, and I'm 14!

NBA to vote on Warriors sale in October - Silicon Valley / San Jose Business Journal
Looks like Lacob and Guber will get approval only as the season starts. So it's a year of what I'm guessing will be Smart...
Rising stars to watch in the 2010-11 season | NBA.com
• Stephen Curry, Warriors: He's already the best all-around shooter in the game. Yes, already, with all due respects to Ray Allen. But to dwell on shooting wouldn't be doing Curry justice. In the latter half of his rookie season, Curry showed solid passing skills and even drew raves for his passing on Team USA this summer. Just a hunch: Curry will make the All-Star Game, finish among the top 3-point shooters, lead the Warriors in assists and average well over 20 points. This would shock you?

Joe Lacob just e-mailed me
WOW, my heart just skipped a beat. I really do love him as our owner right now. I'll post the e-mail below. This is not a joke. I e-mailed the address dubzfan posted. It was also listed as his company e-mail.

Wizards Insider - Wizards contacted Denver about Carmelo Anthony
Well, Nuggets want expirings, young prospects, and future draft picks. We have the expirings, but would you call Monta a young prospect. I mean I know he's not AR young, but the guys 24 and he averaged 25 last season. He would make up for the scoring...
Five players who could force a move before season starts | NBA.com
So. this is NBA.com's top story for today. And I think I am going to name myself head of the Monta for Melo movement. I know, this guy is bogus as he thinks Ellis (who's said all the right things) will force is own way out of the Bay area, but it's just another piece of the puzzle.

Monta+ Vladrad+ Bell for JR Smith and Carmelo Anthony??
**UPDATE**
I just did the math, and if it's not a sign and trade, we have $18,166,443 to resign Melo if we get him!
Roster Finalized, Rondo Goes Home " NBA.com – Sekou Smith's Hang Time Blog
Well, it's definite now. CONGRAT'S STEPH!! You make us Warriors fans proud!
Whose stock has risen in the past week?
The coaches have been raving lately about Eric Gordon, who was on the cut bubble when the team held a minicamp in Las Vegas last month, "because we didn't know him as well," Krzyzewski said.
"He's really had a terrific practice every single day, and every day he's produced, he's just been steady. And he's a guy that doesn't need the ball long. On our Olympic team, Carmelo Anthony didn't need the ball long, and that helps. He's been very good. Very good. I won't say anybody's made the team until we're down to 12, but he's been very good. I'll leave it at that."
Whose stock has fallen?
Stephen Curry's has, simply because he missed two days of practice after spraining his ankle. But he was back on the court Friday, and it now appears it's a battle between him and Russell Westbrook for the 12th spot as Rajon Rondo and Derrick Rose have emerged as the top two options at point guard, with Chauncey Billups spending most of his time at shooting guard.

Giants considering Hawpe.
Dear Mr. Lacob
Joe Lacob has been preaching the need for Low post skills on offense and defense, and some fans (Warriorsworld) have taken the liberty to narrow that player down to 4 options: Oden, Yao, Brook Lopez, and Duncan (yes, they did say Tim Duncan!) But that should be accomplished by the end of this season. THIS FOR YOU. The goal for next offseason should be this:
Just came across this video. I'm a major fan of the "Monta needs to get out of here pronto" bandwagon, but all my doubts just got put to rest.

More about Anthony Randolph and Minnesota Timberwolves Rumor
Wolves insider guy: "Not to cause a spam war, (And I do spend 1/3 of my year in sunnyvale so I am a GSW fan also) What I was told is that there were 2 initial trade concepts. 1.) 4th+small filler (Gomes or Ellingson, maybe even Pekovic) or 2.) Love+16th for Randolph+6th. Then they started discussing deals that involved Randolph without the pick involved. It seems like a standstill right now with neither side willing to commit but neither side killing it."
Personally, I like the 2nd one, but I have had a man crush on Love since he was at UCLA. He is one of the best rebounders in the league, can shoot well from the outside, and can roll to the basket nicely. The one major downside to this, is that we will be giving up our #6 pick and moving to #16. I know Paul George is rising up draft boards quickly, but I have a hunch he may slip to 16 because he is out of Fresno State. Any thoughts??

I don't know what to believe. I've heard the Warriors will stay away from DeMarcus at all costs because he is the next Benoit Benjamin, and now I hear this.

Steph for ROY. Everyone loves him!
Did anyone watch the Lakers-Trailblazers game today?? They were giving out their picks for the awards, and Jeff Van Gundy was naming his pick for ROY. Here's what he said: "To me its Steph Curry, that's a no brainer." I think media votes, and if I'm right, this is huge! You just had a voter say that he's a no-brainer for the award.
Let's Go Wizards, Pistons, and Kings!!!
Sacramento is now tied with us for the third worst record in the league along with Washington! The Kings are riding an 8 game losing streak and play the Clippers today. We should be rooting for Tyreke, because in my opinion the only way they win is if he has a big game. We play the Clippers and the Kings play the Mavs on Saturday, while Washington plays the Celtics tomorrow. Predictions? Thoughts?
