I'm Keith, and let me just say this first: I am a diehard Cubs fan and have been so since the day I was born. I live and die with the club, and although I often feel like watching or listening to the Cubs play is going to cause me an early heart-related death at the age of 30, I love 'em all the same.

BUT. I've always felt for the (Devil) Rays. I've experienced a few bad years of my own here in Chicago (cough, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2006, cough), and while they weren't quite as bad as some of the DRays seasons, losing sucks. So I'm happy for all the Rays fans here and across the country, because this is a good team (obviously; it's hard to sweep the Cubs!) and I think that while another bat would definitely help the team out, it's definitely a solid squad. I've been lurking around DRB for a while now, and I figured it was high time to sign up. So here's to success in 2008 and beyond, except against the Cubs! And hopefully I'll remember to get tickets when the Rays are down at the Cell playing the White Sox next month.

Oh, and I really don't like the Sawx and the Yankees, not to mention the Marlins (cough, 2003, cough). And sorry if this was kind of a mess of a post, it's 2 AM and I'm fighting sleep for God knows what reason...

Well, I'm home alone and unfortunately sick with the flu (since Saturday!), so I'm killing time one of the best ways I know; surfing eBay! I was searching for Cubs jerseys since my Greg Maddux home from 2004 is getting kind of small on me, and I was thinking about which Cubs jersey best suits me. So I'd like to get all of your opinions! (these opinions won't help me decide what jersey to get, I'm simply curious.)

Personally, I used to be a fan of the 1970s pajama tops since I'm in love with just about every powder blue jersey I see, but recently my tastes have gone towards the 1984 road...

I was visiting the Braves SBN website, http://www.talkingchop.com/, and the most recent entry says "Be sure to check back around 11:30 AM Eastern time for an exciting announcement right here at TalkingChop.com!" Could the author of the post know something about a certain shortstop that we don't know yet?
