as promised, here is the great Kevin toweling of 2012, preserved for all eternity. See comments for animated gif.
For those times when you absolutely, positively have to shut down the opposition, Frank Francisco is your man.
After a long hiatus from my artistic endeavors, I present to you the newest addition to the Amazin' Avenue Gif collection.
AAOP: The Keithsmoustache Approach to 2012
Bumped from FanPosts. The Amazin' Avenue Offseason Plan contest is underway, and here's one example of the many great entries we have already received. You, too, can make a plan. It's your plan, and your plan, you like your plan. The authors of the first, second, and third place plans will receive Amazon gift cards. -- Chris

After another long year, Mets fans are all asking the same question... Why aren't there orange seats at Citi field. Also how can we get this team turned around quickly, while building for the future. I've laid out a plan here that I think is a good balance of present and long term. Some of you will like it, others won't, but I can guarantee you, of all of the AAOPs you read this year... this will be one of them.

The Shane Victorino play tonight made me want to add something to the animation, but it's really impossible to improve upon the specatularly awful play itself. Instead I added some bonus footage to the end.

Hey everyone. Seeing as we'll never play at the lovely Marlins stadium again (whichever name you want to call it), I thought I"d make a fitting tribute to the glory of the Marlins that we can all enjoy. Set to a beautiful, fitting score, this work will truly remind you of what made that stadium so great. Enjoy
to preserve this moment for posterity, I give you Victorino Fail, the .gif!
I'll have some "altered" versions later, but wanted to provide you all with the original in all it's glory.

After today I've realized we're all sorts of snakebit. How many sorts you may ask? I present to you exhibit A.
Fred Wilpon makes a new signing to shore up the teams dismal lack of Superstar talent
The Inani-Mets
(Bumped from FanPosts)
-----------
All work and no baseball makes KeithsMoustache something something. So given the fact that everyone keeps thinking the Mets will firesale the whole team, and have no money to replace them, I figured I should figure out what inanimate objects could play different positions for us in order to save some money next year. Here's my starting lineup!
Backhoe loader: The Backhoe loader makes an excellent candidate as our new first baseman. He's built to dig throws out of the dirt with ease. His long arm reach makes him ideal for stretching to help beat out those bang-bang plays at first and he has a ton of arm power. When he's involved in plays at the plate, he can bowl over any catcher with the greatest of ease. On the downside, his lack of speed makes him a liability on the basepaths. Also given the ever rising cost of diesel fuel, his contract incentive costs based on gallons used will likely be expensive late in his career.

This nearly awesome play by RA Dickey was begging to be enhanced. I introduce to you, Dickey Jam.
Comments section for the gif as usual
Figured after the rough loss, you guys could use a pick me up. Lets hope we see more of these hits this year, I know I enjoy them!

Jose is wrangling up outlaw umpires who make bad calls. Evildoers beware!
My latest and greatest masterpiece. Motivated by RA Dickey's Darth Vader impersonation. Definitely my most challenging work yet, so I hope you all enjoy. I've upped my crazy levels to plaid speed for this one.
As a note, there is sound, so make sure the speakers are on!
F! has long been a prospect I've alternated between being excited about and being frustrated with. Another injury to his legs tells me he's predisposed towards that sort of injury. Here is my interpretation of what the world is telling us about our once highly touted prospect.

Blaine Boyer's outing today immediately gave me this mental picture. Please enjoy my interpretation of Blaine Boyer-dee.

Crazy predictions here...
Before the season starts for us, I've decided we should all gather our crazy predictions for the year in one place and see if any of us were right later. And i'm not talking "Mets win the Wild Card". I mean those unlikely, crazy events like throwing a ___(redacted to prevent cursing)_____, or turning an unassisted triple play, two grand slams in an inning, Chris Young staying healthy all season. That sort of stuff. Lets see if any of us manage to predict something ridiculous.
So much for Slapotage
Phillies have released Luis Castillo per Jim Salisbury. Guess we won't have an inside man to take them down. Oh wait... does that mean Oil Spill will probably get the job? I like the depth of undermining we've given to our rivals.
I've been saving this one FOREVER in anticipation. Time to break it out in celebration. The champagne is so sweet right now!
Check the comments for the magic.
Our newly annointed center fielder is pleased. Let's keep our angels in the outfield happy, in order to avoid his rage.

Bobby V wants to buy share of Mets
Link says Bobby V would be interested in buying at least some part of the Mets. Wouldn't it be divine justice if he ended up buying part of the team from the Wilpons?
Casey "Blade" Fossum shows off the patented Fossum Flip,
Animation below as usual
In an effort to prove that Daniel Murphy has the side-to-side mobility required to be an everyday second baseman even after his injury, I present you with exhibit A. Just look at that range to both sides!
As before, animation in the comments section.
Here is my next installment of players who needed their own .gifs. While i'll probably never top the Dickey gif I posted last week, I hope you'll enjoy this one as well, as it seemed to be begging to be made.
Had to do one more of these things, this one took forever, but I'm quite happy with the product. As with the previous animated picture, the .gif will be posted in the comments section.
I've decided to pick up some new skills in my spare time, and someone around here suggested this place was in need of more Mets related animated gifs. here is my first (horrendously) crude attempt at creating one. The main images won't animate, so I'll have the first frame there, and the real animation as a post below.
The name Boof always reminded me of a comic book sound, so this image came to mind. My tribute to our new minor league addition.
