More East Coast Hyperbole

Our old buddy Bartolo pitched a gem yesterday, and he's been pretty good for the hated Sox, so the next obvious step is to put him in the Cy Young discussion right? Give me a break. Call me in the dog days of August, In Fenway, when Bart's sweating more than a hooker in church and the ball is flying out of that Bam-Box.

That being said...good for him. But if the Sox are depending on Colon to carry them back to the pennant, and if Big Papi doesn't bounce back, goodluck.

Link

Yeah, he's like 77 years old and the Toronto Blue Jays dumped his ass, but the A's got him dirt cheap and he can still work the count with the best of them.

I don't know if this means that they're going to have to play Cust in LF all the time now, or maybe they'll platoon him with Barton.

He'll fit nicely with that relatively young offense and give them some depth. If Oakland's starting pitching holds up, Gaudin pitched a gem last night, they're going to be in this race. To me, they're the second best team in the division.

Damn! This one's gonna haunt the Angels for a long time. Los Tigres are gonna be a scary team for a while with such a young talented core group of players. Here's to hoping that Cabrera burns all that scratch on Krispey Kreams and balloons into Rosie O'Donnell fatness.
