The Nyquil advertisement
No matter which computer I come to the site using, I always run into the same problem. I open the site, the middle column loads, but halfway down, nothing. To the right, the sidebar is missing. I have to refresh over and over and over until I get a different ad, then voila...all is well.
I had emailed about this before, but got added to some mailing list..so I am sure I am doing it wrong. But curious if this is happening for anyone else, or if anyone is aware if it is?
OT - Arrested Development is BACK!
Fox is doing the movie, as well as admitting their mistake in cancelling the show, and bringing it back for 9-10 episodes to coincide with the release of the movie. Will include the entire cast, and each episode will be centered around each member of the cast, to give a "what have you been up to for 5 years" reflection before the movie.
Oh this is a great day. My favorite show of ALL time has finally given me the greatest news ever.
Feel free to load the comments up with quotes :)

Monty to Omaha
Assigned to Triple A with Mike Moustakas and Eric Hosmer (and Clint Robinson as well)
This team is gonna be SWEET and one step away. This is going to be one insane year to be a Royals fan. Not so much for the big league club but watching Moose, Hos, Monty and Crow come around the same time is going to be nice.
Anyone going to give their estimated times of arrival for the 4?
Moose: June
Hos: Sept
Monty: June
Crow: July 31st
Cliffnotes On Royals History Since 1985
It's a high we haven't felt since. That amazing feeling in the postseason, watching your team, for the first and subsequently only time, pass around the trophy given to the World Series champion. To see champagne flow freely, to have President Ronald Reagan call the team to congratulate them. The music flows, the population of Kansas City is jubilant, and as you feel the moment excite you, with a blink of an eye...it's gone.
Since then, it's been painful. An unimaginable tailspin into mediocrity, and finally abysmal nothingness. A team that is mocked, made fun of, and picked every year to be dead last. The worst, and they have played this way showing they are well-deserving.
This is a refresher to those who have decided to join our ranks as Royals fans, thanks in large part to the talent that will be joining the team from the vast collection within the farm system.
I won't poke fun, I won't judge you for jumping aboard or coming back. This is how Royals fans are for the most part. We have taken our lumps and expect to as well through 2011. But 2012? Oh well, you can be sure there's going to be a different mindset. This team is changing, finally. The days of the broken down veteran getting a place to play will come to a halt, and the team will break out a "Prospect Tsunami", looking to sweep over baseball fans everywhere, and hope to pull many of them to our stormy sea that will soon be calmer and smoother. (This is not meant in disrespect for the recent tragedy, as I coined it the "Prospect Tsunami" last year sometime)
So why read this? Because as a new fan of the Royals, it may interest you to catch up on what this team has endured since that amazing moment in 1985. There are trials and tribulations, excitement and heartache, mixed in with just downright insanity. So enjoy!

OT - Finally, a "sort of" confirmation..
"There's always money in the banana stand.."
Tim Melville is awesome!
I can't believe it's been a couple of days since Greg Schaum posted his Tim Melville interview over at http://www.royalsprospects.com
But since there's been some slacking on here, let me give you a teaser of why it was SO fucking great.
9th inning- You are a top prospect in a system that several respected people have said is the best minor league system ever put together….why do you think this system is so good?
Melville: Opulence, in a sense of baseball smarts, the royals have it. You can't beat our front office, you can't out coach our coaches, you can't out train our trainers, and soon enough when it's time, you won't be able to beat our team
HELL FUCKING YES! tell me this doesn't fire you up, fans :)
Glass announcement bunk? Cuban to buy team?
Twitter from Bob Fescoe seems to imply so.
I for one would be thrilled to see an announcement made. Sooner the better. I had a feeling with Glass saying he "just started hearing rumors today" that the whole thing had as much believability as Dayton saying how "Trey Hillman was the perfect man for the job"...Dead Man Walking...
Cuban, come raise the Royals from the ashes. Having Glass turn around and be the owner he SHOULD have been is great, wonderful, awesome...but with Cuban investing in this team...money is no object. Make it happen
Royals to sign Jason Adam
Local boy drafted in the 5th round, Jason Adam is expected to sign with the Royals before the deadline.
He was offered a full ride to Mizzou, and the Star said he registered for classes earlier this summer, but is not expected to go.
Will be nice to get him in the system, boosting our farm system even more.
Has some great stats:
41 2/3 innings, 79 K's, only 7 walks and a 2.16 ERA his senior season.
Said he was talking to the Royals before the draft and they knew what it would take to sign him, and it looks like KC will meet his price.
The best part...Royals are his favorite team. How awesome is that for a dream come true?

Dodgers want to add Jose Guillen?
<!--StartFragment -->
The Dodgers have "strong interest" in Jose Guillen for a part-time role, tweets ESPN's Enrique Rojas. He adds that the Dodgers might wait for Guillen to be released, as the DH/outfielder was designated for assignment by the Royals five days ago. The Giants are the only other team known to have some measure of interest in Guillen.
The Dodgers are 5.5 games out of the wild card, but it is surprising to see them showing interest in another outfield type. The current group includes Scott Podsednik, Matt Kemp, Andre Ethier, Reed Johnson, and Jay Gibbons. Manny Ramirez is on the DL with a calf injury.
Guillen, 34, is hitting .255/.314/.429 with 16 home runs in 437 plate appearances this season. The Royals are expected to assume most of his remaining pay one way or another.
Royals claim Kanekoa Texeira
Not a bad pickup. He is only 24, and good minor league numbers. If we can protect him in our pen like we did Soria, this could payoff well. He didn't get many games to make a case in the majors for Seattle this year.
Has to stay in our pen the entire year though. Should be a good mix in with Wood, Farnsworth, Tejeda.
Brad Thompson DFA'ed to make room. I am not sure if he can refuse his assignment if he clears, or if he is a free agent now.
The mystery is solved!
It has been anticipated, talked about and debated forever.
So, after 5 (yes, a long total of 5) long grueling years of wondering, of questioning, of pulling our hair out to one of the greatest mystery to plague fans nationwide..
We at least we finally know now what the "black smoke" is.
Still no word on "The Process" in the same time-frame.
Thanks Dayton...at least you didn't dump a random polar bear into the equation.
