I was born and raised in the Queen City of the Mountains- Hazard, KY. Thanks to my mother, I was brought up not just a diehard UK fan, but a diehard fan period and I generally live and die with whatever teams I end up becoming a fan of. I go to the University of Miami (Whoosh!) and am likewise a diehard 'Canes fan. I hold some of the responsibility of UK's ineptitude in basketball in the past few years- my coming to Miami must have ripped some sort of hole in the universe: I come to Miami and suddenly the 'Canes can't play football and UK wins three bowls and defeats the #1 team in the country and Miami shows up on the basketball court and actually beats UK in Rupp (I was NOT happy) and UK can't get it done on the hardwood. It looks as though the hole has been mended this year, though, and the world is such a better place for it.
