The Dolphins are better than my Jags.

Who would have thought that at this point in the season the Jags would be a below 500 team and pretty much out of the playoffs, and that the Miami Dolphins would have a better record with a chance to actually make it into the playoffs this year? The Jags were supposed to have the best  NFL team in Florida this year, What happened?  I think we need to draft NOTHING but big lineman this next draft.

Gregg Williams won't be here next year.

The only reason Gregg Williams is a coach on the Jaguars team this year is because the Jaguars are not having to pay his salary. Gregg Williams salary is still being paid by the Washington Redskins this year. It was already known that the Jaguars probably wouldn't be able to afford to keep Williams on as a coach next year because his salary now is about the same as Jack Del Rio's salary as head coach. Now that the Jaguars defense is playing so much worse this year under Gregg Williams than they did with Mike Smith as the defensive coordinator, there is no way Williams will be here next season.

David Garrard the actor

Hey I just saw David Garrard in a Zaxbys commercial. Is that a new commercial or a old one I  never saw? Big dave is getting a lot of "side work" these days. Good for him, it couldn't happen to a nicer guy. I don't remember Byron Leftwich doing many commercials on tv or on the radio. I think I may remember  him doing one or two but it seems to me like Garrard has already done more than Leftwich did. Am I wrong? I think it's great that Garrard and MJD are out there bringing more attention to the Jags on a national level.  Way to go! Oh yeah Garrard is a quarterback!

Troy Williamson

Man, that cat can sure run ! I loved that play where he and Garrard hooked up for like a 69 yard pass  this past Sunday. It would have been nice if it counted but  it was still exciting to see and dream of  the big plays to come from Him and David Garrard hooking up in the future. I know when we traded for him everybody said he was a bust in Minnesota but I don't remember ever seeing him play for the Vikings. Did he ever have big plays for them like he did  for the Jags  against the Broncos? People say he can't catch but it seems to me that he catches David Garrards passes just fine. I don't think he is going to be a bust here in Jacksonville, What do you think?

Jerry Porter

For some reason I think when the Jags come back from their bye week Jerry Porter is going to be a huge part of out offense. I think Del Rio is just setting up the media to think  Jerry  won't be back yet but I think he will be, and I think we will see a lot more of  him and Troy Williamson sooner than later. I sure hope so anyways. The Jags need a reciever like Harrison, Wayne,Johnson or Owens on the field every week and we haven't had that yet this year. Matt Jones is our best reciever this year and I am happy for him that he is getting to play more. I don't know for sure but I believe  Matt Jones numbers are way  lower than any other teams number 1 reciever this year. With the Jaguars being so far down in the division now we need much better recieving numbers than we have had these past 6 games if we are going to make it to the playoffs, and I believe Jerry Porter will give us those numbers.

Matt Jones must go?

Do we all still feel all warm and fuzzy about Matt Jones? It wasn't too long ago that most people leaving comments on this site were all in favor of keeping Matt Jones on the team this season. We are 2 games into the season now and we are 0-2. Is everybody happy with Matt Jones still or is it time to trade him now? Don't be shy, tell me how you really feel.
