So I think that this is where I start off.....' long time reader, first time post... '....

But I heard about Elton Brand going to Philly today and just made me feel for Baron Davis.  Not really.... with that combination of moves, we get to worry that much less about GSW and the Clips.  I thought the Clips were trouble with Davis, Brand, Magette and Kaman and Gordon?   Now.... no Brand and Magette is still being shopped.  Welcome home Baron.

In the same update with Brand, I heard Josh Smith's name out there and I'm thinking.... why has he not come up in conversation before?  I mean is he not what we need in a true lock down 3?  The kid is not even 23 yet which fits perfectly into our window and he is a monster on steals and blocks.   We talk of waiting for the summer of Free agency next year when all of our cap room comes available.... but why wait if Smith is there for the taking?  What do we want that would be better than a situation like this?    This would validate any logo for the coming year of  ITS G.O. TIME ( this is my vote to replace Rise with Us ).  Not to mention we do need to leave some of the cap room available to resign all of these studs to keep the same team in 4 years. 

Atlanta would have to be interested in a Frye, Webster or Outlaw and LaFrentz to make the numbers work.  Frye gives them a big man to work in Tandem with Horford ( Fryes game is outside where Horford is inside )  Marvin Williams is really too small to be playing 4 so would move to 3 for them.

How does this not make sense?  Granted, I'm not aware of the relationship with Smith and the Hawks, but I see Hawks bball on TBS and fans are .... not as exuberant as Blazer fans.  I really think that has to be one of the worst arenas for a fan base.

Oden, Aldridge, Smith, Roy, Bayless

Seriously.... think about that one.
