Born and raised in New York, NY. Began playing hockey at the Squirt level at Sky Rink, Chelsea Piers. Played Pee Wee, Bantam, Midget, and Junior C and B hockey in the U.S. Deferred temporarily from the University of Michigan to play Junior A hockey in Bradford, Ontario, Canada, during the 06'-07' season. Returned to play for the University of Michigan Men's Club Ice Hockey team. Avid New York Rangers fan since age six. Attended 1994 Stanley Cup Game 7 in Madison Square Garden.
