New helmet design. What do you think?
New helmet design that I found while browsing the St. Louis Post Dispatch website. What do you guys think? I kind of like it. Would like to see it in a blue and yellow or blue and gold version
ESPN Uni-Watch on the Angels for 2011
ESPN Uni-watch has a bit on the Angels uniform changes for 2011.
What do you guys think? Personally, I like the gold halos on the hats. My only complaint is I wish they went with the thin A instead of the fat A for the throwbacks
Fox drowns out Halo fans!
Like most of you, I spent Saturday watching the Angels play the Sux. Was it just me or did it sound like Fox was drowning out our fans? I was in the other room when Kevin Youkalis was up to bat for the first time and the sounds of "Yooook" were so loud that I heard it clear across the house. Then when we were comming back and scoring runs the crowd noise was pretty low, especially after Vlad's HR. The crowd started chanting "Lets Go Halos" and it sounded like Fox drowned it out!! Am I crazy? Did anyone else notice this?
Gross!
Ballpark health code violations
Posted: Wednesday May 14, 2008 06:29AM ETDo richer Major League Baseball teams play in cleaner stadiums? We surveyed health-code violations at 11 stadiums to find out. It turns out that two of baseball's richest teams, the New York Yankees and the New York Mets, and a team near the bottom of the revenue pile, the Kansas City Royals, play in stadiums with some of the best inspection records. But the big middle contains several ballparks where you might want to skip the hot dogs. Two West Coast teams, the Los Angeles Angels and the Oakland A's, had far more food fouls than any other team. While most were minor, some were, well, disgusting. Teams contract out food service to a handful of vendors, though team management is responsible for stadium cleanliness. The A's declined to comment; a spokesperson for the Angels conceded that 2007 was an off year but that the team had worked with its vendor and an outside consultant and made a lot of changes for 2008.
