We have played a fair amount of BMO (baseball manager online) in the past few years but it has been a while since a new league has been started or really thought of. I am interested in starting up a new one and would be willing to be a co-commish and I know of at least a couple other LLers that would be interested. This is the thread to start guaging interest and if there are about 25+ people interested in playing I will start the league and we can get the ball roling.

Some simple rules for those interested. Spots will be given out first to people that have played in the past and then to newcomers. This is to protect the league from becoming too unbalanced because the past couple leagues have been ruined quickly by experienced players taking advantage of new players. There will be trading of draft picks allowed but it will have to be documented in the forum or sent to a commish so there aren't arguments later. Those are the only two rules that are set in stone right now (and even the draft trading could be changed/removed if enough people want to do so). All other rules will be discussed in the league forum so as to not clutter up LL with BMO talk.

If you have been living under a rock for this past weekend, UW upset New Mexico in a tournament that seems to be full of upsets. The next day Gonzaga goes and gets destroyed. With that being said how far do you have UW making it now that they are looking quite dominant?

Also something that should be a cause for excitement around here is opening day in two weeks from today. How many of you have tickets to the season opener in Oakland? Who has a ticket to the home opener? Any special plans that coincide with the start of the season?

Last of all I have recently started a mock metal band that is a huge joke and we need a name that is just that, a huge joke. So far we are leaning towards Death Thru Murder but I would like to hear some more suggestions since I am not very creative with band names. What do you guys have that could work?

Also happy Monday and all the normal topics are fair game still (is there any need to even mention this anymore?).

It's been one week since the last football happened and we had to move from Garfield to Franklin so I figured it would be time to put a post about the next one since nobody has done this so far.


I propose we play at 12 o'clock on Saturday at the Garfield High School football field and hope we don't have to move again. We could go and do food at the Elysian or some other establishment afterward around 3 o'clock.

So now what I need to know, who is in and does anyone object to this?

I have seen this stat often on this site and I understand what it is and its purpose but what I don't know that I want to know is how to calculate it. I would love to be able to calculate it myself and I'm sure other people on the site would as well.

I found this explanation on how to calculate it but the way it is explained is a little over my head as it looks like how you would do it on an Excel spread sheet and I do not know how to use excel. If anyone can explain to me how to do it that would be great.
