YOUNG GUYS vs OLD GUYS
This is a follow-up to the Age survey that I did yesterday.
The age grouping from the previous "age poll" was interesting. I didn't expect the age breaks to peak where they did. The poll you are reading now will further categorize and link age groups to draft preference behavior. Is the younger group braver? Is the older group more insightful? Don't analyze your choice-Just go with your gut feeling- Put your thoughts to this poll and let's see how it works up. Thanks-
TST'ers-Show Your Age!
Tired of Blackmon polls? Try this one. It's an easy one and it quells my curiosity. I'm not sure that this poll will encompass the whole spectrum of us, but I don't think I have seen any age bracket profiled on here. For those who are Draft challenged (judging from some of the posters on here who don't want a PK at #6), here is the way you do it. Pull your shoes and socks off-(you can count twice as high that way) and start counting up from One-then Two-then-----

DAFT DRAFTING with eyes wide shut!
The mad scramble is on! We HAVE to have a running back! We HAVE to have an OL! We HAVE to get a CB! Well-well Really? I have these questions for you-
1. Do we DEMAND that SJax score every time he touches the ball?--no!
2. Do we DEMAND that a WR score every time he makes a catch?--no!
3. Do we DEMAND that the QB throw a strike in the endzone every time he touches the ball?--no!
We make mad and wild cries into the abyss that we MUST find a way to score in 2012!! Oh God-how are we going to solve this? Take a jump over the edge into the overlooked and ignored-
RAMS DRAFT - Reaching for the lesser picks
It is almost sundown. Thru my full length leather coat I can feel the wanning heat on my back. The sweat forming on my skin underneath collects dust like a magnet, waffed by swirls of wind whipping up from the baking Sonorean Desert. I tug a little on my sombrero chin tye, lowering it a little to clearly see the endless horizon thru the blowing dust. I clamp hard on my picayune when I see the sky turn almost black. It didn't take a conscious thought to realize what blotted out the sun. The sweat on my face turned to ice. Then I knew-The battle is about to begin! 100,000 arrows were screaming toward me with a vengeance all with TST posts taped to them speaking in one hissing voice-"TRADE DOWN!" So with the theme song of "The Good, Bad and the Ugly" ringing in my ears,...... I took the jump........

Crouching Rams, Hidden Heros
Well, well well- How many of our fans can name a Rams DT that never played a snap last year? How about Offensive Lineman? Not to mention D-backs? Are they no more than a bunch of blocking fodder for our regular guys to chew on - a team of extras just waiting to get a chance? I found it very surprising that a close bond exists between this raw core, a comradeship if you will, to show the regulars that they are going to have to work for those big paychecks. They are hard working and dedicated players that most have never heard of. They are……….(drum roll)THE PRACTICE SQUAD!!!!(symbol clash) Take a sample look-
#90 Cornell Banks DT 6-2 320 R rated (NCAA DT’s) 73 out of 150 “I’m going to bang till I’m the last man standing” DL on the practice squad (2012) Not big stats but team supportive player. Will he still have the same resolve in 2012? I hope so.
#61 Tim Barnes C 6-3 300 R rated 7 out of 49 Fairly quick for big guy, smart-honor student. Middle of road stats, team player. Rams wanted him back in 2012, signed him to futures contract.
#42 Kendric Burney DB 5-9 190 R -not rated- Resides on the lower end of the talent rope, limited pedestrian stats for a small guy, however listed as quality nickel back. Friendly, but is reclusive. (does not reply to tweets or e-mail). May not make final cut in 2012.
#12 John Chiles WR 6-2 210 (1) rated 75 out of 292 Interesting guy. Was backup to Tim Tebow for two years, then went WR and put up 795 yds from Tebow 1st year as WR. He has some terrific stats. Signed in 2012 for futures contract. It”s going to be exciting to see how far he goes this year.
#66 John Henderson DT 6-1 301 R -not rated- Kind of hard to rate this guy. Research indicates he is an avid player, a baler, but college reports might not be accurate. He is liked by the Rams at present, but we’ll see how that plays out. Reportedly aggressive in play.
It is a given that the names in the practice squad will change, but the will to do battle will not. The Squad will continue to be ready to take up the challenge anytime called. As names are added to the Squad, follow along and check them out. If you can find a way to do it-give them a shout-out.
RedSkins and the Little Big Horn
As we all know in ad nausea, the Rams have made a trade that brought two #1 pic's in the next two Drafts. Those pic's brought saliva to hordes of Rams fans on a "can't fail" basis, assuming that they will be high pic's in the first and second rounds next year. How could we go wrong with that? O dear, let me count the ways- after I take a dump...er.. Jump--.
The George Patton approach to the Rams Drafting
In the last few months, or it may be years, we have put our coaches on a tightrope stretched across the Grand Canyon, toting a 20' balance pole. On one tip of the pole is the Offense, the other tip is the Defense. The Coach, and the fans are desperately looking for balance. Is that what Gen George Patton would do?-NO! That sucker would overload in one area to overwhelm and let the other flanks suffer.
So to the point: What if the Rams so overloaded the Offense with ALL our draft picks to become the #1offense in the NFL? Conversely, why not become the BEAST DEFENSE by using ALL our draft picks to dominate every opposing offense? Is there really a reason to be so-so in every position instead of being dominate on one side of the line and sucking on the other? Be Bold!! Be Brave!! It's better to suck half-way than to all around Suck!

THE MORE THINGS CHANGE-
This is the first post from your friend and agitator Knoxfan, so complaints are not allowed, however you can give me some clap if you desire.
When we are all posting about how we should Draft and what holes we have to plug, I go back in time to find out what our mindset was during years past at Draft time. It seems that many, many of the posts could be cut and pasted into today. It also gives incite into how accurate we are in our wants, demands and wishes. Are we as smart as we think we are? Jump and find out-
