Daily Norseman With future problems at DE, what about Drafting Clayborne out of Iowa at 12?

We are going to have a problem at DE with free agency and the recent news of a certain, out of control, former Spartan need the "flying fish hooks" to calm him down a few days ago. Why not give Adrian Clayborne a good look. They Guy was virtually double teamed his entire Senior season at Iowa. I think he goes soon after the Vikes pick at 12, if they pass. What do you all think?

Daily Norseman NO TIME FOR FAN APATHY!! REMEMBER THIS MINNESOTA????

I was just wondering if any of you fans of Minnesota sports remember this little snippet in time.

Al Shaver's last call for the North Stars

"It's Ludwig, giving it to Dahlen.....4,3,2,1......and it's all over. The Stars lose here, 5-3, and now it'spack 'em up time and on to Dallas. We wish them good luck. And to all the North Stars over the past 26 year, we saythank you, all of you, for so much fine entertainment."

"It's been a pleasure knowing you, Minnesota's loss is definetly a gain for Dallas- and a big one. We thank you, though, from the bottoms of our hearts, for all the wonderful nights at Met Center, when you've given us so much entertainment and you've been such a credit to the community in which you played. We will remember you as the Minnesota North Stars."

"Good night, everybody, and goodbye."

This breaks my heart everytime I read it. I actually come close to tearing up. We can never let this happen to the state again. The departure of the Vikings will leave a hole that will NEVER be filled. That is why EVERY Viking fan needs to do "something". ANYTHING to let the Reps. know that we are serious about NFL football in the state of Minnesota. If we have to see moving vans trucking away from Winter Park on ESPN, it will be a site burned into  all Viking fans memories for the rest of their lives. Trust me, ask any Brooklyn Dodger fan. Not many left, but they haven't forgotten.  I think it's time to start caring about this than whether the Vikes will draft Mallet to play in LA. If you haven't already, please go to" Minnesota Momentum" and sign up. Fill out the forms, send a letter to your reps. Do it weekly. Do it daily!! Make sure those bone heads know were serious!!!! Remind them that we elected them to serve US! We stand up now and be heard, or cry in our beers for the rest of our lives.

NO APATHY, NOW HEAR OUR HORN, A VIKING NOW, SINCE THE DAY WE WERE BORN!!!!!!!

Daily Norseman Did anyone catch the post game interveiw with (Clink) Chilly?

Lokks like Chilly took a few shots at Favre in the post gamer. Something about tears, crying, and needing hugs when talking about Favre. Really Chilly? After the guy just saved your job for another week?

I don't know, was it Chilly being.......chilly, or was it all a work?

ESPN has played the Childress meets his son in Afganistan two weeks in a row. Sorry, I'm proud of his son and all of our Armed Forces but I still have no love for Clink! Go back to Flagstaff Childress!!!!!  Go coach the Lumberjokes!

Daily Norseman I'm sorry guys but...are we gonna lose this team to LA?

I've brought this up before to serious scrutiny. This losing thing is really killing the stadium drive. It also is killing me, so all of you rat bastards who are getting ready to try to punk me out again can go F... yourselves.  This team will not stay here after this season without a new Stadium deal. Losing creates apathy. Apathy creates moving vans getting packed up and heading to LA. If this happens, if we lose our team, I will never , EVER put another thought into the NFL EVER again.

So, how can we help to make this not happen? Join the momentum group! Talk to your reps! Talk to the candidates! Talk about it!!!!! To EVERYONE!!! Get active. Listen, ask ANYONE from Brooklyn how it feels. Ask a North Stars fan. I bet you know one. Ask a Browns fan how that tasted.  The examples are plentiful and ever growing.  Lets not be the next town that lost its team.

Daily Norseman Goodbye VIKINGS

Lackluster play this season will surly spell the end of NFL football in Minnesota. Think Im kidding?  Get ready for the "Daily Westcoastman".  I love the Vikings............sorry to see you go. Well, at least they will look good next to the lakers.  Funny how LA can Cherry pick  Sweet teams from Minnesota.  I really dont know how Brett Favre could look any worse. Please dont yell at me either, you know Im right.  Game OVER MINNESOTA. NO STADIUM< NO TEAM.  No one left to blame but ourselves.  1961-2012        Thank you for the memories Vikings

Daily Norseman Vincent Jackson suspension reduced to 4 games

Jacksons suspension has been reduced to 4 games as the Vikings brass has hoped for. This means he will be able to practice with the team that trades for him after week 3.  If it's the Vikings that trade for him, and by all roumors that I have heard, it will be the Vikings, he could play in week 6. The bye week will not count towards game suspension served so that is why week 6 is the deal.  I say pull the damn trigger NOW.  Question, would you fine Viking fans have a problem with a no training camp, rusty, Vincent Jackson joining the Vikings offence?

Daily Norseman Vikings to add a WR very soon.

Seems the Vikings are no back in the market for big WRs. Talks have sprung up with SD for Jackson. They are also thinking about bringing Javon Walker back. Also in the mix are WRs Demitrius Williams and Ruvell Martin, both 6-4.  I really dont have any clue why they havent addresed this situation earlier, The injuries on this team are making the front office fly by the seat of thier pants.  I wonder if the Houshmanzada situation last year played to the staunchness of saying no to him this year. I, myself, feel its time to make a blockbuster trade. One involving future draft picks and Defensive linemen. What do you all think?

Daily Norseman Chilly says no way to Bringing on Housh.

Brad officially came out today and said the Vikings have no interest in TJ. The reason being is that it would take him too long to learn the West coast offence they run. It seems to me a trade needs to be made soon or we seriously risk exposure at WR and CB. With a serious need for another addition, do the Vikings bring back Walker or look elsewhere. There is also a dire need at CB. Any suggestions?

Daily Norseman Willams and Edwards out for todays game.

My question is.....can we win this game without them?  Stopping The run today for the Vikings is probably the most important aspect of the game. I just hope Adrian and Jarred have an incredible day. If we put the pressure on McNabb,  he WILL make mistakes. When that boy gets rattled, he is a total mess at QB. With nobody giving us a chance, I just hope we open some eyes like the Cardnals did yesterday. I love being the "home dog" in this game.
