I moved to Japan a loooooong time ago (by my standards) from
LA-LA in aerospace and as a Jr. High math teacher. I went during the first
week of the Milwaukee Braves move to Atlanta, and I was an old man then,
so.......... you figure.
Our family is definitely bicultural and bilingual (except for me). I love stats,
and if I came back to the States I would come as a stats teacher or a
short story writer.

a fan of

Atlanta Braves Major League Baseball Team

Talking Chop What will you do with the extra time?, at the same time?

as you may haev guessed, I live and work in Japan. The games are on here during the mid to late morning. If I am not working I come here after lunch and check the scores. I have almost never spent  more than an hour fiddling around wating for the games to close.  Having said that, I will just  spend my time more effectively ................................studying Japanese for the National Language Exam in December. I will probably pop in here and out again occasionally . I am interested in what if anything the close of the Braves season  means for your time....more family time? more golf?

Talking Chop Let's talk about our favorite ex-Braves

So, we are mostly Braves fans, but one thing has always bugged me, an that is we don't discuss baseball in general, and share the positive points of various other teams and players. I realize that fantasy team players do, but I can't find the center of fantasy player's hearts. At least I know that underneath we are all Braves well-wishers. So, I do support at least 4 ex-braves who are still active in MLB, in order of importance they are a) Willie Harris, of CAIRO Georgia, who earned a  WS ring, and is now a member of the mets, he had a down year with the Nationals last year but  this year, he isn't doing too badly for the year. b) I have to admit that I am a Rick Ankiel fan. Why? I guess because I really appreciate people who have gone through "hardship" and then come out of it. I really became sympathetic and a follower of Ankiel when he was with the Cardinals. Yeah, so I was secretly pleased when he killed us with those 2 homeruns. If someone had to do it and it wasn't Willie, then it was nice for him. Also I am sure you have seen his put-outs. Next is, of course, c) Francoeur. Because I am a Georgia native! I went to school in Rome, so I am at least familiar with the neighborhoods around Atlanta. Who can't help but like Francoeur. I would really like to see him hit .300 again for KC. And finally d) I am a Jordan Schafer supporter, I have followed his play as much as I can for free, since the trade. I also hope he arrives above .290 or close to it by the end of the year. Who do you follow?
