In the playoffs against a guy who's not really a hockey fan so all of my pride is on the line here. We're one week down in a two week playoff match up. I'm losing 8-3-1.

I've had some bad luck with injuries and suspensions. Am I effed? Should I just be adding and dropping a couple people per day to get some kind of stat boosts or should I stick with what I have? Cooke is filling a spot I use to get more starts from goalies who are getting played that day or just random skaters when I have a light day. The only other person I might do this with would be Kosti? Thoughts?

Much like Slap Schtick, I dropped the ball on this. They're having a tournament on St. Patty's day anyway so it really wouldn't have mattered.

Is there another weekend coming up that works for everyone?

The Flyers play every saturday until April 7 so everyone just say when they're good and we'll go from there.

ESPN says he's shut down for two weeks. I have this week and next remaining in my regular season. I'm hopefully going to make the playoffs this year so I don't know if I should hold out hope he'll return or should I drop him? Unfortunately our deadline was yesterday at noon.

Will there be over or under 5 more players rumored to be on the block and under consideration from the Flyers front office. We already have Suter / Weber / Schenn / GIll and now Nash.

BONUS POINTS for whoever correctly names the next rumor! My shot-in-the-dark, no-reason-to-think-that guess is the guy in the photo that hasn't played in Philly before.

Viktor Stalberg and Kevin Bieksa for Henrik Zetterberg. We play categories (wins count in each) G, A, +/-, PIM, PPP, SOG, BLK.

I'm pretty far out of any place that matters. Way out side of the playoff hunt and I'm five spots out of staying in the league. Next year I'll be relegated one tier below the champions league I'm in now.

Thoughts on this trade? The guy who's offering it is closer to the relegation bubble. I think he's 2 spots out.

I contemplated changing the whole tone of this recap after the Flyers put four goals on the board. However, in the end, the goals in the third really don't matter. That game really sucked. 6-0 after two periods does not a good hockey game make.

Yes, the Flyers didn't roll over and die completely, that's a good thing. Yes, Claude Giroux and Jagr got on the board, that's awesome.

Bottom line, all bad officiating aside, the Flyers did not have their A game today. They started flat, grew flatter and got flattened through two periods.

Apparently nobody had preview duty today. So here's a very haphazard Game Thread thing. The inmates are running the asylum today!

Devils roll into the Wells Fargo Center today for a little Saturday Matinee hockey. Should be a good one. Matt Read and Sean Couturier are on fire. Ilya Kovalchuk is pretty hot too. Wayne Simmonds normally has a good game against the Devils. Coatsey's mic is giving feedback and fuzz. It's all shaping up to be a good game.

Florida and Philadelphia came into this game as the worst two teams in the league in shootouts. The Panthers were 9-33 at home in the coin flip. So it stood to reason that the would garner their tenth victory at the hands of the Flyers. However, Bob said "NYET!"

Mike Santoreli, Kris Versteeg and Stephen Weiss all skated back to their bench after leaving the twine untickled as Sergei Bobrovsky played big in the crease. In true Goldberg form he made every Panther make the first move.

On the flip side (see what I did there) Claude Giroux deked Scott Clemensen out of his pads to put the Flyers into the win column. Ankles have not been that badly broken since Kathy Bates in Misery.

Contemplating a deal in my one league. I'm horrible and doomed to relegation if it continues.

What I'd be giving up:

Pekka Rinne and Henrik Zetterberg

What I'd be getting:

Kari Lehtonen, Chris Stewart and Zac Parise.

I'd be left with Lehtonen and Ty Conklin in net. Not wild about that combo.

The rest of the team is up in the air as I have 2 trades pending and 2 proposed to others. I can try to suss out who I do and don't have if you need me to.

Listless. Disjointed. Generous. All words that could describe the Flyers play tonight. The first period was marred by an offense that lacked "jam," a transition game that lacked precision and a team that seemed hell-bent on giving away the puck. It didn't get much better after that.

One trade I was offered and one I offered up.

I offered Hiller and Bogosian for Jimmy Howard. Was that fair? The guy isn't really paying attention to his team so I thought I might be able to steal Jimmy but I don't know if it'll get voted down.

I was offered Briere and PK Subban for Dan Sedin. That's not good enough, right? I mean I need shots, PIMs and BLKs but that's not a good trade, is it?
