Flyers at Lightning game thread

The Flyers have clinched a playoff spot! But they'll look to gain ground for the No. 2 seed in the Metropolitan, while in the process trying to avoid a season sweep at the hands of the Lightning.

Nothing shocking

The Flyers will try not to get swept by the Lightning in the regular season series as they continue to try and gain (and/or not lose) ground in the East.

Who should win the Lindbergh Trophy?

We continue going through the Flyers' end-of-season awards with a look into who the most improved Flyer this year is. There are plenty of options.

Informal coaches' poll puts Giroux 3rd in Hart voting

TSN's Bob McKenzie polled 16 NHL coaches to get their votes on certain NHL awards. They had Claude Giroux a solid third in Hart Trophy voting, behind Sidney Crosby and Ryan Getzlaf. We looked at Claude's candidacy for the award a few weeks ago.

Who should win the Ashbee Trophy?

It hasn't always been a great year for the Flyers' blue line, but a few guys have put together solid seasons. Which one has been the best?

Flyers at Panthers game thread

You have one job, Flyers. One job. Just do it.

Rinaldo suspended four games

The dangerous headshot by the Flyers forward leaves him suspended for the second time in his career, as he'll sit for the remainder of the regular season.

The Noon Number: 152

Yay scoring depth!

Rinaldo to have hearing on Monday night

The Flyers' forward made a very stupid hit that is almost certainly going to get him suspended for a few games.

Flyers vs. Sabres game thread

Please win this game, Flyers.

Flyers at Bruins game thread

The Flyers will look to snap a three-game skid this afternoon, but it won't be easy, as they make their lone trip of the year to Boston to face the best team in the East.

Despite three straight losses, things still aren't that bad for the Flyers, but they probably won't get any easier today, as the Flyers make their first and only trip of the regular season to Boston to face the East's best team.

Hal Gill named as Flyers' Masterton Trophy nominee

Gill, who turns 39 this Sunday, was nominated for the award, which goes to the NHL player who best personifies "perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication to ice hockey." Gill has only played in four games this season, but has received much credit for serving in a mentoring role with some of the team's young players.

Flyers vs. Blue Jackets game thread

The Flyers will try and rebound from two straight shootout losses in a game against a divisional rival at home as both teams are closing in on playoff spots.

Shootouts still (still) suck

The Flyers played a rare, tight, defensive struggle against a really good St. Louis team that ended in a shootout loss, but picked up a key point that got them that much closer to the playoffs.

Flyers at Blues game thread

The Flyers will try and inch closer to a playoff spot against the top team in the West, the St. Louis Blues.

This is no time for the Blues

In their final game against the Western Conference this season, the Flyers will try to follow up a strong showing on Sunday against a strong opponent with another one tonight.

Just kidding: Folin signs with Minnesota

Listen to this week's BSH Radio

We'll talk about last week, this week, next week, and hopefully the (playoff) games that will take place in the weeks after next week for the Flyers. Call in at 347-826-7864 to talk with us!

Shooting the puck is fun. The Flyers should do it more often.

Flyers vs. Bruins game thread

The Flyers will conclude the month of March with a tough test against the best team in the Eastern Conference on Sunday afternoon.

Flyers vs. Leafs game thread

Coming off of two straight losses, the Flyers will try and get back on track as the reeling Maple Leafs come in to town for a rare Friday night home game.

Morin's playoffs are going well

Flyers 2013 first-round draft pick Samuel Morin had a good QMJHL playoffs last year with seven points in six games, and he's off to a similarly good start this year -- with a first-round series sweep to show for it.
