The Bills and Syracuse basketball are my sporting loves. Syracuse football used to rank high as well, but there's something about a hopeless situation that just crushes my soul, or something like that. I'd give anything for a Bills Super Bowl victory to go with my SU basketball title, which I was lucky enough to attend and go crazy at.

Bills Fantasy Friday: Week 4 Start 'Em/Sit 'Em

Buffalo Rumblings' look at fantasy options from Week 4's Bills/Dolphins matchup.

Just a bad taste in my mouth after that game....

Might be all the chili I ate... This one felt so much like all the other losses we've had during the Jauron reign of terror.  A game where the offense was a mess, no offensive TD's, tons of...

Bills starting DE Chris Kelsay out with bruised knee

Time to step up Chris Ellis. And no, I'm not happy Kelsay is out. I hate seeing injuries and don't want anyone to miss game action because of them. I hope he improves soon. Also, unsurprisingly, Poz is out indefinitely. Hopefully, he's out a month or so and can be back by, say, the Jets game.

Keys to Victory: Bills vs Patriots

The Bills travel to New England to open the 2009 season on Monday Night Football. Here are the keys to a Bills shocking victory.

A look at the fantasy options in Monday night's Bills vs. Patriots matchup.

Bills have cheapest ticket prices in the league

Average Ticket Price: $51.24 Only Cleveland and Jacksonville have ticket prices under $60. Bills have lowest FCI (Fan Cost Index) as well. The Fan Cost Index™ comprises the prices of four (4) average-price tickets, two (2) small draft beers, four (4) small soft drinks, four (4) regular-size hot dogs, parking for one (1) car, two (2) game programs and two (2) least-expensive, adult-size adjustable caps. Costs were determined by telephone calls with representatives of the teams, venues and concessionaires. Identical questions were asked in all interviews. Superscript numbers next to Beer and Soft Drink prices denote smallest available size in ounces.

(Steve) Johnson back on track

"Gibby is going out there trying to make plays just like all the rest of us," said Johnson. "Me and Justin are just out there trying to get a win. We know it’s preseason, but we’re still out there trying to get a win." Gibby?

The positives of Schonert getting canned

While the timing of this move is a bit odd, it was the right move and the move that needed to be made if this offense were to have any hope this season.  Like many of you, I wanted Schonert gone...

Accuscore predicts Buffalo to finish roughly 7-9 (of course)

7.4-8.6 to be exact, with an 18.8% chance of making the playoffs. The program also predicts Trent will throw 20 TD's, which I'd gladly sign up for right now.

Bills WR Owens returns to practice

Good news, TO is back! Now help turn this offense into at least an average one!

Bills DE Maybin eager to make preseason debut

He has struggled establishing an outside pass rush, having difficulty getting around reserve right tackle Jonathan Scott). Maybin also was thrown to the ground on Wednesday by reserve tight end Jonathan Stupar, who then caught a pass after getting open. Not exactly leaving optimism for him being ready for NE. If I'm the coaches, I'm playing him extensively tonight. 1st-4th quarters that is...

Donte Whitner making his presence felt

Fred Jackson, who had been dealing with a sore wrist and thumb had the ailment re-aggravated on Tuesday in practice when he was hit by Donte Whitner on a running play. When we talk about making more plays and being an impact player, we aren't talking about this!!!

Adam Schefter's Bills related Tweets

-Bad sign out of Buffalo. Bills holding T.O. out of Saturday's preseason game vs. Steelers for bad toe. Warning:Toe injuries can wreak havoc. -And if the T.O. news weren't bad enough for Buffalo, Fred Jackon aggravated thumb injury and had to be carted off. Sheesh... -Lemme rephrase on Fred Jackson thumb injury. He was escorted off, not carted off, in obvious pain. -Not to alarm Buffalo but look at L.T. last season, Jonathan Ogden, Deion Sanders, Jack Lambert. Toe injuries can be devastating. -Buffalo....RT @daveyray72 EJ Henderson in 2008...lost the rest of the season after dislocating 2 toes. -Buffalo II RT @Lane_ toe injuries ended OJ McDuffies career -Another view RT @OracleMikeA: Adam. He gets "hurt" every pre-season. Doesn't like training camp and he will be fine for the regular season. Hope that last one is onto something!!

Bills are surely nervous about Fred Jackson

Several veterans are still available, including Warrick Dunn, Shaun Alexander, and (thanks to Edgerrin James joining Alexander's old team) T.J. Duckett. Dunn would be the only one worth considering. Imagine if we have to waste a roster spot on a guy like this...ugh

Bills no-huddle attack also producing no TDs

Trent Edwards and the Buffalo Bills no-huddle offense is suddenly better known as the no-touchdown attack. And no T.O. either. That's the opening line. Ouch. In nine series this preseason, Bills starters have combined for 253 yards offense, 12 first downs, a field goal and four turnovers in nine series. Edwards has been relatively efficient, going 20 for 25 for 158 yards. But he’s thrown two interceptions and registered one more tackle—bringing down Johnny Jolly after the Green Bay defensive lineman recovered Edwards’ fumble— than touchdown drives.

This is borderline ridiculous

Buffalo News: Post-game reactions in GB   Trent: "The hard part now is I don’t know how much scout team we’re going to be running. We didn’t face a scout team 3-4 defense (this past week), we...

Chris Brown's Training Camp Awards

Most improved defensive player – Chris Ellis – As camp wore on Ellis’ confidence grew with the pinnacle coming in the Bears preseason game when he had a sack and forced fumble as well as a fumble recovery. Ellis has taken a big step forward from year one to year two. Looks like he still thinks Copeland Bryan's sack against Chicago was Ellis'...

Steve Johnson re-injured

The fall and impact re-aggravated Johnson’s rib cartilage injury and has the young wideout frustrated. "It’s the same old thing that it’s been since the first time, rib cartilage," he said. "It’s just frustrating man when you’re trying to play football and you can’t get no contact. I only know one speed basically. When I’m going in to block I want to go in physical. I want to go up for all the passes and when you can’t do that, you’re limiting your game and it’s frustrating you know. But I mean I’ll get through it. I should be back 100 percent next week."

Keys to a successful Buffalo Bills pre-season

A look at some of the key elements to a successful slate of preseason games for the Buffalo Bills.

Top 50 All-Time Bills, No. 31: DE Aaron Schobel

DE Aaron Schobel checks in at No. 31 on the Top 50 Bills of All-Time list.

Sad or Encouraging?

From ESPN Insider: The Buffalo Bills have been trying to replace linebacker Keith Ellison in their starting lineup for three years, but he's not making it easy on them, reports The Buffalo News. Allen Wilson writes that Ellison is pulling away from those acquired to end his run in the starting lineup. The Bills drafted Oklahoma safecty Nic Harris, converted him to linebacker and thought he'd take the job from Ellison, a 2006 draftee. But Ellison isn't having any of it. "He keeps hanging around," defensive coordinator Perry Fewell said. "He's like a boxer that keeps jabbing, jabbing and punching and doesn't get knocked out." It's as if the team/coaches want him off the field, but refuse to bring in someone better. Describing a guy as a boxer who somehow doesn't get knocked out, but doesn't knock anyone out is kind of funny....
