Hi!
On the last ClipsNation, I was clippers8200.
I love the Clippers and I have been with the Clippers as a season ticket holder since 2001. I am pretty young though!
My favorite players are Corey Maggette and Elton Brand, and formerly Sam Cassell

Blake Griffin Has Stress Fracture, Out Up to 6 Weeks
Eric Pincus posted this on his Twitter:
""blake griffin = stress fracture = out up to 6 weeks"
Unreal. I hope this is not true, but 95% if not for certain that it is. Never can catch a break.
I hope that the prognosis for his specific injury is much less than 6 weeks, because this is a major, major blow to the season. We do have depth at the position, but not having Blake until December just makes you wonder if we do indeed have a curse.
EDIT:
Official.

Clippers in "Very Serious Talks" With Allen Iverson
Note: I've modified this FanPost to be an excerpt from the article and a link to it. PLEASE do not cut and paste entire articles from other sources onto Clips Nation. I don't want people doing it to my work, and I don't want to be a part of people taking Lisa Dillman or anyone else's work. Excerpt, link.
Talks between the Clippers and the free-agent guard have been characterized as "very serious," according a source close to Iverson who was not authorized to speak publicly about the negotiations.
Link.
The potential move will most definitely be criticized and praised; what do you guys think?
We lost KTLA?
I was watching the Clips/Utah game and Lawler kept saying bye to KTLA, so I guess we lost the coverage for next year.
The only other broadcast option is UPN, but it looks like we're going to be short on televised games next year.
I'm very disappointed to see this, as KTLA HD was a great feature, but with our record going down, so have ratings, I suppose.
And I doubt that Prime Ticket will pick up all of the games.
Clippers Make a Trade
Not as big as I had thought, but still movement.
The Los Angeles Clippers today acquired center Cheikh Samb and cash considerations from the Denver Nuggets in exchange for a future conditional second draft pick.
A 7-foot-1-inch center from Senegal, Samb has played in six games with the Nuggets this season, averaging 0.7 points, 1.5 rebounds and 0.2 assists in 4.0 minutes. Samb came to Denver on Nov. 3 along with Chauncey Billups and Antonio McDyess in exchange for Allen Iverson. Samb was assigned to the Colorado 14ers of the NBA Development League on Dec. 10 and has averaged 12.4 points, 7.1 rebounds and 3.8 blocks in 10 games with the 14ers.
Originally drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers with the 51st overall selection in the 2006 NBA Draft, Samb, was traded to Detroit and started his career with the Pistons, appearing in four games and averaging 1.8 points and 1.8 rebounds in 7.8 minutes per game in 2007-08 while also playing in 19 games for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the NBA Development League.

Clippers SIgn Fred Jones
The Los Angeles Clippers today signed free agent shooting guard Fred Jones. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not released.
A six-year NBA veteran, Jones played 70 games with the Knicks last season, averaging 7.6 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 25.1 minutes. The Clippers will be the fifth NBA team for Jones, who has appeared in 378 total games and is averaging 7.5 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists in his NBA career.
Fred Jones won the 2004 NBA All-Star Slam-Dunk Contest.
I smell another trade.
What a day. I almost dropped my phone when I heard that Randolph was coming to LA.
The Clippers cannot have
Kaman, Camby, and Randolph on the team. They are weak at guard and improved a position that they simply did not need any help at. I smell a trade, soon. Camby or Kaman, I think, may be traded. But to where? And for who?
What is the second plan here? The trades are far from over.
THE LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS OF ANAHEIM?
Editor's Note - I removed the body of this story, which is available at the Orange County Register at this link. Please remember that it is our policy at Clips Nation to link to people's story, not to copy and paste them in their entirety. I don't want my posts taken in their entirety to other sites, so let's not do it ourselves. Excerpting is fine. Thanks.
COULD the CLippers move to Anaheim?
Clippers Acquire Steve Novak
The Rockets expect to trim their roster and their bloated collection of forwards on Wednesday by dealing Steve Novak to the Los Angeles Clippers, an individual with knowledge of the deal said Tuesday.
The Rockets will receive future draft considerations, likely the right to switch places with the Clippers in a second round. It is unclear which season that would be because both teams have future second round commitments.
The Rockets selected Novak, 25, in the second round of the 2006 season. A 6-10 forward, Novak averaged 2.7 points in 70 NBA games, making 44.1 percent of his shots and 42.7 percent of his 3-pointers.
The highlight of his two seasons with the Rockets was likely the buzzer-beating 3-pointer he made to defeat the Kings during the Rockets’ 22-game winning streak last season.

Clippers Insider Releases Information
hehe. Im making it sound really "confidential" and "spy-like", but my friend's Clippers' representative has said that they are pursuing Ricky Davis and Bonzi Wells.
This is odd, but would suit the team well.
What do you guys think?
I mean WElls has always seemed to be a rumored Clipper incomer and Ricky Davis is a great player. I'd love to see these guys on our team..but wouldn't a trade be necessary to do this? The Rep. also said we have "money that we're willing to spend"
This is information from my Clippers' source: The Los Angeles Clippers are eagerly pursuing Bonzi Wells and Ricky Davis. This is odd to me, but I feel that it'd be great for the team. We'd have to trade for these two, wouldn't we? Please leave thoughts, and opinions. Not sure where this money is from unelss Sterling wants to go into the luxury tax zone. He also said from the point of Baron's signing to EB's departure, ticket sales sky rocketed and they nearly have a record of season ticket holders....note: BEFORE EB's departure. They also said that we would have a lot more fun this season. Just wanted to share! Bye
2010--The Year of Rebirth
Let's think about this a little bit. In 2010, Mobley, Thomas, Hart, and Camby's contract's expire. If we let them all go, we could have about 22-26 million in the bank of free cap space. In 2010, agents like LeBron (probably New york), Wade, Stoudemire, Dirk N. , and Bosh will all be available. We could do something amazing in 2010 if we renounce these players.
Just two years from now, we could be a Championship team.
WARRIORS UP OFFER TO 100 MILLION!
Wow, the Warriors must be really seeking revenge. Reports from the LATimes have announced that the Warriors have now offered Elton 100 million dollars for 5 years; thats 30 more than we can and will offer him. This is disturbing because Elton has not announced his support to the CLippers yet, meaning that he is second guessing his decision. this could be disappointing altho we could get maggette if we didnt take brand. But Brand is so much bbetter than Maggettee. This could get ugly.
Sorry about that. I was on another Clips forum and I saw the story, but it turns out the guy wasn’t accurate. My apologies, but the deal worth 100 million is true according to the sources. Brand has not released comments or taken a position.
Baron Davis
Baron Davis surprised some by opting out of his contract yesterday. He also expressed interest in becoming a movie producer. Would it make sense to take this point guard? And if so, how would we afford it? Maggette would have to go for sure to make this work. EB can stay, but it wouldn't be surprising to see him take a pay cut in order to improve the team. He said my main interest is winning, and I'll do whatever it takes, so we'll see.
Our Free Agents
Hey,
I formerly had an account on the first ClipsNation. Anyway, who do you think is going to stay and who do you think is going to leave the Clippers this summer? Corey Maggette, Elton Brand, Quinton Ross, and other free agents are potentially leaving us. I am completely against making Livingston that qualifying offer, but I'm sure Dunleavy will do so anyway saying something to the sort of how much talent you can see off the court, etc.
Cassell...is....GONE!
Los Angeles Clippers point guard Sam Cassell is expected to sign buyout papers with the franchise soon and will sign with the Boston Celtics once he clears waivers, according to an NBA source.
Cassell and the Clippers have agreed to buyout terms. He is expected to receive some of the money remaining on his $6.1 million salary this season.
Once the 38-year-old's buyout is official, he has to clear waivers (which takes 48 hours) before he can become eligible to sign with another team. The 6-foot-3, 185-pounder is expected to clear waivers by Saturday and would be eligible to play the rest of the season and postseason for the Celtics.
Cassell will not travel with the Clippers to Denver, where they face the Nuggets on Friday night.
The Clippers are expected to sign guard Flip Murray, who was let go by the Detroit Pistons, to replace Cassell.
YOU CAN WATCH THE UN TELEVISED GAMES!
guys, there's a website raptorsnation.net and you can watch any game regradless of wheter or not it is televised for free. It works pretty well, so if you want to watch it just go to the site and click on the clipper game tomorrow night. I watched the philadelphia game on the site. i'm not advertising for it, just helping if you wannto watch it!
KAMAN DOES NOT MAKE ALL STAR TEAM
I was just watching TNT, and unfortunately Kaman, like Thornton did not make the team. I'm disappointed. I feel like it's the Clippers record that prevented it.
Hopefully, next year he'll be able to make it!
Sorry, Chris!
Really Disappointing....................
Thornton has put up monster numbers lately, and Kaman, as well.
Response to ClipperSteve Clipper's Fix
This is the best I can provide in response to ClipperSteve's analysis.
http://www.hoopshype.com/salaries/la_clippers.htm
It shows this year and future years and payroll etc.
I hope it works and enjoy...
I think
Maggette will exercise his option to stay just because the free agent market will be better in 2009.
What's Wrong With This Team?
They have an easy schedule right now. They need to take advantage of it. After that it only gets tougher. What's wrong with this team? They need to step it up NOW. There comes a point where the team can't blame every loss on injuries. It has been a particularly injury- plagued year so far, but the Clippers really need to work it out.
Thank You!
Thanks to everyone who voted for me in the Clippers Fan Moment Contest. The seats were great and so was the game. It was a very up-tempo game and was really exciting. The Clippers have gotten off to a great start. Thanks Again.
GO CLIPPERS!
Kaman really improved this year.
Patterson puts SO much effort into his playing.
I AM REALLY CONCERNED
The Clippers are in trouble. As you know, Brand and Maggette can opt out of their contracts. I have heard reports that the Clippers have offered a significant contract extension to Corey Maggette. He denied it. I believe that Corey is going to opt out at the end of the year. I also fear that Brand will, too due to frusturation with their situation. I am REALLY worried. Sam is leaving at the end of the year too. If all three left, the CLippers would have around 32 million dollars of cap space open to spend per year. That may be used to sign Gilbert Arenas, another Clippers rumor.BUt that's thinking really ahead. I really hope at least E.B. opts or resigns with the Clips. We need help! Please comment.
BTW< Thanks for your support in the polls.
Magettes Salary approximately 8 mil/year.
Brand 18 million for this year and if he stays next year his salary will increase to 19.5 million. Phhhhhhhhhhhhh. Stressful
Brand: Sudden Change in Thought?
It is interesting. In Elton Brand's recent interview with ESPN, he said he was willing to leave the Clippers for a ring. It seems his loyalty to our nation has decreased due to last year's disappointing ending. Keep in mind: Brand has an option on his contract at the end of this season. Will he stay or will he go? In my opinion, the Clippers MUST do well this year to keep their star. Corey Maggette will most likely terminate his contract in my opinion as well. Let's just hope the Clipers can work this out.
Best Clipper Fan Moment- My Journey Into ClipperNation
My Journey through Clipper Nation was amazing. When I was younger, I asked my dad, "Who are the Clippers?". I was a Lakers fan and I knew the Clippers as a bad team. Eventually, I had recieved Clipper Tickets for the 2001-2002 season. I truly enjoyed the game. The Clippers almost made the playoffs, but our hopes were cut short. The 2002-2003 and the 2003-2004 seasons were truly terrible. However, in those two seasons I had built up my loyalty for the Clippers. I loed underdogs. The 2004-2005 season gave me some hope on a possible run in the folowing years. I remember my favorite Clipper game. It was a game in December; Clippers versus the Heat. I was sitting near the court at that game. The Clippers had a chance to go a couple games over .500 with a victory there. It was nearing the end of second overtime and I thought I would make history by being one of the fans that saw the Clippers' very first third overtime. But then, Corey Maggette showed up. He took the ball and fell to the floor approximately 20 feet from the court on the baseline. He fell into the cheerleaders as the ball rose higher and higher. The Clippers were tied. I thought the shot was going to be an airball. The moment literally slowed down when I was there. To my astonishment, Corey Maggette made that shot. After I left Staples, I realized that the Clippers were meant to be my favorite team, and that I could barely hear and lost most of my hearing. Soon the 2005-2006 season arrived. The Clippers made the playoffs. I could not believe it. I was there for Game 1 in Los Angeles in Round 1 versus the Nuggets. I remember it being a close game. I remember the Clippers being up by two, with Carmelo taking the shot at the buzzer. I remember him missing, and I remember a ROAR! I remember the screams and shouts.. I remember the Clippers first playoff victory in ten years. I had truly become a Clipper fan. I am amazingly loyal to the Clippers. The games I do not attend, I watch on T.V. The few games that are not televised are closly listened to on the radio by me. I searched Google News for Clippers news and rumors everyday during offseasons for the most up to date information I can find (which was often posted here).I remember being furious when the Clippers lost in Round 2, Game 7 against the Suns, but I knew that next year they would make it all the way. I know that the Clippers will be great this year. Although, they lost Brand and Livingston for half the year, the Clippers will be fine becasuse of their determination for the game of basketball The Clippers gave me passion for basketball, the gave me happiness, they gave me entertainment, they gave me hope. The Clippers are my team. Ha; and I used to think they were horrible, I used to not know who the Clippers were. But now I do. Now my life is complete. Now, I am a citizen of Clipper Nation.
